My friend recommend this restaurant and menu looked very good, so we tried. We ordered grass fed beef steak, but came the dish looked like beef stew instead. When I asked the server, he said this was the one we ordered. At home, I doublechecked my receipt, I did not know but the restaurant charged 3% surcharge which I don't know what, then I noticed that their automated tip section when I paid, they showed the entire amount included both this 3% surcharge and LA tax 10.25%. Tip section has to be based on the food price, not include surcharge and tax. Because tip is nothing to do with tax and those surcharges. It might be a little thing, but I felt like I was tricked. Food tasted bland, and we did not have any service, and hidden those charges, I am so dissatisfied and disappointed. read more

Modern day cafeteria with quality ingredients. The menu is pretty extensive (cold plates, hot plates, soups, and desserts) and they even have beer and wine! I've been a pretty big fan over the years of the Cobb salad and chimichurri steak plate. Gotta get the sides of mashed potatoes and Mac n Cheeeese. Recently tried the Moroccan chicken braise and it was good but really needed some more salt. A couple items I do feel could benefit from a tad more salt but maybe that's just me. Got the plate with salmon, beet salad, and mashed potatoes. Salmon was cooked perfectly with a mustard on the said that complimented the salmons. The beet salad had goat cheese to give it that nice creamy kick to it. Mashed potatoes had a savory gravy....not sure what was in that gravy, it was different but worked. I miss the way it was pre-covid. You can walk around and look at each station, see what the food looks like and get whatever looks good. Now it is like all the other restaurants where you look at a menu and pick your meal. The chicken tender sandwich (Nashville style) was a disappointment. It was not very substantial/meaty. It wasn't dry but it wasn't juicy. The spice was about right. Way too much brown sugar in the seasoning. The brioche bun was too thick and overpowers the chicken. The chicken should be the star and the bun and seasoning add to it, not the other way around. The steak was cooked just right, tender, flavorful. Portions were just OK, could have had more meat (especially for the price). The potatoes, gravy, and Brussel sprouts were good. Overall it was a decent experience. I would not get the sandwich again, maybe get 3 steak plates for the 2 of us read more
