Eh. Medium (3 scoop, 2 salmon 1 shrimp) bowl (extra crab) and a taro milk tea, nearly 18 bucks. Price is about on par with other poke places. I can't tell you whether the protein tasted fresh because I couldn't taste it through the sauce. I asked for eel and original, didn't realize I'd get so much of both. There had been a pool but the rice soaked up a lot. I couldn't finish. Milk tea was meh, but I wasn't expecting greatness because it's not a tea place. Boba was good though. I like the set up, where you can add your own toppings and there's a free self serve miso (bleh btw). It's a cool idea, the staff were friendly and I heard them being very helpful with those who were unfamiliar with how these places work. I guess my biggest complaint is the over saucing wrecked the flavor. I might try again some time, just have to remember to ak for less sauce, maybe half as much would do. They give you so much depending on how much you get in your bowl. I didn't pay any extra but I got 3 bases and 6 sides and 3 scoops (large bowl for $15) and it took me a while to finish my bowl! Service is good as they make your bowl with gloves (and you can ask for extra sauces for free) and then you pay afterwards. They also have drinks/tea. After a crappy lunch at a conference I was super starving. I was able to get a vegan bowl with tofu and lots of veggies to hold me over. The guy behind the counter was super patient and answered all my questions. I got a half and half broccoli and spring mix, two scoops of tofu (costs extra for additional scoop of protein), cucumbers, other veggies and avocado. The fixings bar with ginger, wasabi etc was cool. I opted for sesame seeds. When I checked in I got a free medium soda. They have Stubborn soda (Irish soda vía Pepsi co) that has a variety of flavors. I opted for no sugar soda and called it day. With everything it was 12.00- would have been more if charged the soda. You start off with a base (white rice, brown rice, salad, chips, or half and half) and you can go with any selection of protein (tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, yellowtail, shrimp, octopus, etc). The amount of fish scoops are up to the size bowl you've ordered. You get a selection of sides like cucumber, seaweed, avocado, imitation crab, white onion and then the self-serve toppings bar is open for you to garnish your poke bowl masterpiece. Two years ago, I ended up getting gout as a result of my high red-meat diet. When I got the news that I would have to either take medicine before eating red meat or work on eliminating red meat from my diet all together, I was left with a difficult choice! I decided that staying on medication in order to keep a diet didn't make much sense (to me) and so I stumbled across Uroko Cafe because it was local to my area and I had never tried a poke bowl before. I have since been coming to Uroko regularly for 2 years and they have got me hooked on poke bowls. Compared to other poke restaurants, I have built a preference for Uroko based on their selection of different toppings as well as abundant variety of sauces to go on top of your bowl. I typically order a salmon bowl and have never once had an unsightly or bad tasting batch. On that note, their toppings along with their meats have never been anything short of fresh. During COVID we really appreciated the company's move in the month of December to offer Miso Soup for free, and I believe as of right now (Feb. 2021) they are still giving out Miso Soup for free! So if you're into that sort of perk... there you go! All in all, I go to Uroko Cafe about twice a week when i'm on my way to the office and I have yet to be disappointed by their food! read more

I wanted to like this place as my aunt recommended the place to me. However, I just couldn't get past the spicy mayo sauce they had. It just tasted so off and completely masked the taste of the salmon. It just tasted like pure mayonnaise (I think it was regular mayo instead of the kewpie mayo most places use) and not spicy at all.
