They have so many sides, proteins and toppings to choose from, so it's perfect if you really want to personalize your bowl. I wouldn't say it's the best fish compared to other places, but it definitely does the job and is still tasty! How it works: It's like building a Chipotle bowl but for poke. The service is great - super fast and willing to share recommendations (especially for sauces) when you're stuck. If you're looking to eat at this place, there is a good amount of seating inside and outside. There is also a lot of parking since it's in a plaza, so that shouldn't be an issue too. The fish quality and variety is great, I always go with the salmon, spicy salmon, and yellowtail, which is not typically offered at most poke places. The worker also packed my bowl with toppings, and one bowl was more than enough for a meal! Another thing that makes this place stand out compared to other poke spots is the quality of the sides. You are allowed to get six complimentary sides, and I go with the crab meat, spicy crab meat, seaweed salad, avocado, onion, and cucumber. This is the only poke chain I know of that gives avocado for free! This new location is tucked away in a quiet plaza in Tustin, and the spot offers indoor and outdoor seating. Greeted and served by the most welcoming and most efficient crew today. My gf and I are regulars, aside from our regular visits, we also order on weekdays from my office under name Tzu! Uroko has been our only to-go spot before this location even opened, we are here for the portion, the freshness, the flavor, and the ambiance. Today they just gave us another reason to come back - the service! The guy getting us the rice and the toppings was so efficient, he was quick with the job while remaining a smile on his face - keeping his cool while doing God's work. In the meantime, the girl recognized us, and remembered that we always come in for the mango smoothie. She greeted and asked if we would like the same order today - to be honest, I was going to pass, now I have to get it! So then she told the other girl to work on the drinks while the guys work on our Poke bowls. (Drinks are also amazing as usual!) The whole ordering process made us feel like VIP, and most importantly, they made my gf so happy! She was talking about it to the family! Thank you guys! I am so disappointed with how Uroko has fallen off. This place used to be my favorite place to go when I wanted a quick, reliably delicious meal. The servings were the best out of all OC poke places. In the past 2 weeks, I have consistently received the most mind-bendingly terrible service from the employees. It's only the new employees. It is VERY clear that they hate their jobs, and for that, I am genuinely sorry. They seem to be operating under the idea that if they are rude enough to the customers, less will come in, therefore reducing the work that they have to do. I am sad to report that this strategy is finding great success. I crave Uroko poke, but not enough to get over the horrible service that I will receive there. Guess I have to go somewhere else now. This new focus on chipotle-ing the serving sizes is the most foolish business decision Uroko could have made. If you talk to anyone about Uroko (at least Uroko in the past), they will tell you it's expensive but the serving sizes are good enough of justify the price. Not anymore! They skimp you on everything now. Genuinely, the portion sizes have been cut in half. Don't waste your money on Uroko. Uroko is a great poke option in OC! I used to go to their Costa Mesa location and am happy they opened in Tustin too. This location is smaller but they have the same menu and a favorite here is the broccoli base because I feel like you don't see that often at poke places. I've been here twice already late at night and it is pretty empty. I chose the 2 protein and it comes with 6 sides and unlimited toppings. Usually avocado is always extra but i love that it is included in here! I usually will get salmon as my protein . They mixed it with all the sauces i wanted which was the uroko sauce, sesame oil, chili oil and spicy Mayo. Love the fried onion toppings and tempura! It totally makes it BOMB! The fish quality was okay, but since I came closer to closing, that might have been why it didn't taste as fresh as it probably could have. Uroko Cafe Tustin just opened on Monday!! Located in the Cream Pan plaza, it's tucked into a corner so it's a little bit hard to find, but plenty of parking available. Inside was brightly lit and clean. Staff are new so they're still in training, but are super nice. Poke bowl ingredients are fresh and tasty and miso soup is solid, just like at the other locations! Ordering was easy, I hope in the future they will allow for you to do double of certain bases as opposed to having different bases. There are multiple different seafood that they had available, and I went with the yellowtail, salmon, albacore. The sauces they had available were fairly good. The restaurant gives the vibe of quick Japanese lunch dine-in and to go. The one thing that I can see making this go from a four to a five star is the amount given increase a bit more along with more customizability for the base. It is modern, clean, and cafe like feel for Poke franchise. We basically have to select a base like rice, and 6 sides, and choice of 2-3 or more seafood depending on if you order 2 or more. Size is good. Plenty of choice and you get 4 sauces to choose from. Basically everything is self serve: water, napkins, utensils. It's more of 3.5 ish star out of 5 for me since I like the Choices of side and some seafood. I order 2 tunas and one salmon. There are plenty of seating in this Uroko Poke.
