My kitchen sink was clogged for about 1 week since having a 75ft snake through a promotional…read moreplumbing service (not disclosing what company lol) did not work (it had stopped maybe 50ft in and while being retracted, lots of black sludge flew out). During that time, I had broken some copper fitting pipe parts underneath the sink so I did not put them back together to make sure it worked. Luckily, things happened for a reason so I bought new hard plastic pipes to replace everything but water was still slowly flowing out of my dual kitchen sink. I remembered the person who did the snake mentioned it might be time to get a new mainline pipe which meant breaking the walls and slab since I don't have a crawl space equating to 15-20K or an epoxy pipe lining to make it good as new again for 8K; I have no money for any of that so I googled "best ways to unclog a kitchen sink if 75ft snake fails" and was recommended hydro-jetting from AI. I then searched hydro-jetting Livermore and was recommended Diablo Hydro-Jetting immediately on my mobile phone where I was able to view both their website and Yelp reviews before calling 925-277-0200 on a Sunday evening. Fortunately, Jeff answered my call even while eating dinner who reassured me that he was 100% sure that my kitchen sink can be unclogged since they can blast it up to 500ft and if there were to be any complications that the competitive pricing comes with the drain inspection camera as needed. I truly appreciate Jeff's Team; Jose and Alex for taking on this difficult task. Jose was hydro-jetting my kitchen sink while communicating with Alex who was controlling the unit by the van. Initially, Jose and I feared that the black sludge would appear since pushing water with water and it was in fact what had happened where it was caught in a big metal container underneath the kitchen sink. Jose immediate told Alex to turn off the unit and requested to get the portable compact hydro-jet vac to clean out the container before resetting then restarting a 2nd time from the top with the vac on to catch everything as it goes. Then with some luck, we were able to hear the water flowing after it was unclogged, the sound of success! Jose then proceeded to check my cleanout area which was located outside of my house, opened it and made sure that the same sound we heard in the kitchen was heard there as well. And to ensure that my kitchen pipes were clean, Jose went ahead and did the hydro-jetting a couple more times just in case and even had Alex bring cleaning solutions to help wipe away some black sludge that flew to the side of the cabinet wall. The whole process took about 1hr and the invoice has a limited 90day service warranty guaranteeing against future clogs from reoccurring. This was the best investment I made highly recommended and I am very grateful for Jeff, Jose and Alex; they never upsold me anything and they truly are professionals in the field strictly hydro-jetting and nothing else, established in 1994 with over 32yrs of experience! We ended up telling him about our crumbling cast iron main sewer line under our slab foundation, and a belly in the garage that's been causing us problems every year, and Jose offered us the CIPP + robot cutter trenchless solution so that we don't have to dig up every connection in our house, and it was at a fair price. Since they did a great job with the cleanout replacement, we decided to do the whole sewer line CIPP and dig up the belly too. Jose and crew arrived promptly at the scheduled time to start the work. They dug up a trench in the garage and replaced the section of the pipe with the belly on day 1. After the belly was replaced with new pipe, there was still not enough slope for the new section to properly drain, because the two end of the existing pipes were just at the wrong height and simply replacing the belly was not enough. Jose communicated this to us and proposed another solution where they would pipe burst under the current pipe for the section that's too high to my front yard clean out so that the whole section would have proper slope, at no extra charge. Meanwhile the crew in the back were working on the CIPP in parallel. They measured out where the openings were and carefully marked the linings with the measurements. Inserted the linings, cured it, cut it, then used robot cutters to reopen the connections. After everything was done, they patched everything back, and cleaned up the whole place. When they patched the concrete in the garage back, they made sure put in rebar to support that small cut out section of the concrete. We saw the final result together in the camera inspection and the pipe looks great - no more bellies and one nice sewer line with proper slope and smooth lining. I'm so glad I found this company and Jose who I know I can trust to do high quality work and do the right thing when there are unexpected hiccups that arise. Throughout the process, Jose took time to explain to us what will be done and how it will be done so we were never left in the dark. I really appreciated the clear communication. The quote was high enough to warrant two other quotes, one of which was Advanced Trenchless (AT). I decided to choose AT for several reasons: first, they provided the Goldilocks quote that was not too high but not questionably low like the third quote; second, they narrowed the scope to just the collapsed part, not the whole section of crawl space behind it as the first one quoted; and lastly, I got a call from Ryan, one of the owners, who explained the unknowns and also confirmed that a permit was required, which the last quote omitted. Also, he was willing to accommodate my schedule after the holidays. As others here have noted, AT's team are true professionals. They showed up first thing in the morning, were prepared, polite and zeroed in on the exact location that needed to be addressed. I hovered some to try to understand the mysteries of outdoor plumbing, learning that work done on a past remodel was not done properly. The fix was quicker than I was expecting. Everything went smoothly, including the Central San inspection, before they closed up the space around the new pipe and cleanout, leaving everything tidy, even putting back a section of shrub that needed to be moved.
