Books of stamps available for purchase in December 2019
    Gabby A.

5 starts to Leeotis that seen 6 people while the other attendant only seen one. He even took the time to show my daughter and I all the books of stamps he had available and mentioned when they would be getting more. Great customer service!

    Fancy new machine!

I see that a lot of existing reviews complain about the passport process. I haven't had the need to renew my passport at this location yet, so I cannot comment on that. However, from what I've observed, I do believe the entire passport process is cumbersome to both the employees and the customers, so hang in there, everyone. My own experience with this USPS is actually quite pleasant. I do not use this office heavily, but I do need to pick up packages from time to time. If I come at a busy time, when there is a line, I usually still manage to receive what I need within 10 minutes. I actually think the efficiency is quite high. Given, it depends on if there is a resourceful supervisor on duty. There's this one Asian lady (I am guessing she's a sup) that is reliably speedy during rush hours. If the line starts to form longer and longer, she'd yell out, "Anyone here just to drop off or pick up?" And customers who quality (including me) would be served by her personally and swiftly. In fact, she is, time after time, the quickest worker there to find my package in the back, which otherwise may take a long while by other employees. (Side note: at other locations, packages could be retrieved at a side door. Here, they never seem to utilize this door unless in very, very rare occasions. I dunno why that is, but since counter service is usually quick and sufficient enough, this has not been a real issue.) Workers at this location are, in general, friendly enough. I don't have very high expectation for any USPS staff due to the infamous stereotype popularized in our media, but really, the team at this branch doesn't seem all that bad. In addition, this location is spacious, neat, and clean, which is a high upgrade from the neighboring branch near the West Covina mall. (That one's quite awful. It always seems to be a mess there.) It also features a PO Box section, which people seem to be quite satisfied with for the most part. This section opens after hours, which isn't always true at all the branches, so it's quite convenient to have this perk. As of late, next to the many PO boxes is this newly upgraded self-service kiosk. It's got more screens than the older model, and the fonts seem to be bigger and clearer, too. Again, I haven't used this myself, but it surely looks nice, new, and easy to use. Dare I say a bit pretty, too? Overall, this USPS just isn't that bad! It could be much worse. I've seen worse.

Great customer service, great staff and a retired letter carrier for the past 40 years. Thank you for your service Jesse.

Supervisor Andy finally found my lost packages and I'm super grateful, thank you!

The building itself has a really charming, old-school feel to it. It's not modern or flashy, but in a good way. It genuinely feels like stepping into a little piece of the past, which I appreciated. They open at 8:30 a.m., and while there was a short wait and a line, that part was understandable given the holiday season and the fact that many transactions understandably take time. What really stood out was the young Latino gentleman with glasses working the counter. I didn't catch his name, but he was incredibly efficient, patient, and had a genuinely good attitude. As someone who doesn't regularly use the post office and needed to send certified mail, I definitely needed a bit of guidance, and he handled that smoothly. You could clearly tell the difference between customers who come in regularly and people like me who needed some direction, and he treated everyone with the same level of respect. He honestly deserves five stars on his own. That said, the overall experience lands at four stars for me. I was a bit surprised by the cost of certified mail, which came out to around $11, and I'm not sure if that's standard or holiday pricing. I also noticed he was on his phone calling the Covina main office, which made me wonder if he was trying to get backup. During the holiday rush, having only one worker feels like a lot to put on one person and can slow things down for customers. I'll absolutely be back since this is my local post office, and I'd happily update my review if staffing improves. Overall, it was a solid first experience, and that employee truly carried it with professionalism and a great attitude.

(FAIL). Even though I hate going to Post Offices in person (why the reason I bought stamps ONLINE), I decided to quickly go while I was at work. I originally was going to one in Azusa, but realized there was one closer to me right off of Irwindale Ave. From the photos and other reviews, I realized this would be a tiny Post Office and looked on Google Maps to see where I could park. Other than the tiny parking lot, it looks like there is plenty of street parking, but just read the signs for the street sweeping days. LOCATION: The post office is located east of Irwindale Ave and on the north side of Calle del Norte. Irwindale Park is on the south side. I arrived just before 10:30AM and there was one spot open in the small parking lot (WOOHOO!). As soon as I walked in there was NOBODY there! Two ladies were eager to assist me and answered all my questions. I was literally out the door within 2 minutes. That was by far the greatest experience I've ever had at any USPS office. Note that they are open from 10AM to 4:00PM and they just close between 2:00-2:30PM for their lunch break. 116/100 Reviews for 2016

I'm closed! and walked away. I said where does it say you're closed?. Your sign say next window only. Anyways it doesn't matter the customer is asking you for help and you're just ignoring her. She came back yelling at me saying, are you blind?! Can you see the sign? And picked up the sign and threw it at me, I said no I'm not blind! I see the sign but the sign doesn't make you deaf does it? Have some manners at least to your own people. The other employee even asked her what's wrong with you, when she threw the sign at me. And didn't reply. I asked to speak to her manager and obviously the manager wasn't there so they gave me a number where no one answers and you can't even leave a message. This type of behavior is not acceptable. I hope someone can help me find the right person to report this inhumane behavior.
