This post office has lost 3 of my packages and are very rude every time I come in. I wouldn't mail anything valuable through here. Not unless you want it stolen. This is not a 1 star rating from 1 visit. This is a rating from numerous visits beginning from November 2014 until now. I would also like to note that I have had items missing from USPS. Today's experience: Went to pick up a package. It is damaged badly. Of course when I come here the Asian lady works like she's doing everyone a favor, I asked "why does my package look like this" her response "whoever sent it packed it that way". I told her it was a brand new flat rate box purchased because I know who sent to me. And when I inquire about my boxes that look damaged, and have items missing from the same damaged box, no extended help is offered. Very bad service. I went to do a change to address 10 days ago, today I went back because I have not received mail in my new address nether my old one. I went early today to find out what was going on. I spoke to an Asian lady who said she is the supervisor and she couldn't tell me anything, she said that I have never made any change and didn't have record then said to come back in an hour ago to speak another supervisor. I returned and asked to speak to the supervisor I waited for 1 hour but she never came out because they said she was on the phone. I spoke to another worker who in 5 minutes gave the information I was looking for. Service is really bad and the employees are very rude. read more

My regular mail carrier is great and always friendly but when he's on vacation and the other ones take over it's horrible service except for the one female carrier who is also great. We have a dog which is always inside our house but if the temp carriers hear her they pass by leaving an animal interference note even though she's inside by the window barking. So we don't get our mail. I specifically tokd the temp carriers to throw it over the fence but they don't. read more

The worker said he couldn't let me in because the cameras are watching him and that he would get in trouble. What ever happened to customer service. He could have let me in and gave me my mail. THIS POST OFFICE SUCKS!!! Last Tuesday, we went to this post office to pick up my co-worker's Access TAP card because Access said the new card was there. The reason for this was because she lost her card last summer. Well we went and guess what, it wasn't there! This made her and my trainer extremely angry because they didn't have the card! I've been coming here for years...not like I have a choice since I live near the area! I've visited other post offices, as well. In comparison with any other post offices, I can't say there is anything different. I've been here throughout different days and times, the place is a hit or miss in regards to the crowd of people trying to ship their things, pick up, or even get to the passport line. However, around 4-6pm on the weekdays definitely gets busy...after all, that is when everyone gets off of work. When I drop by the place, there's usually plenty of staff members working behind the counter, approximately 5 of them work at the same time. Sadly, the lines still get long because there are many people who don't know how to pack things and end up taking everyone's time. When you are here, you will see 3 lines: passport, shipping, and pick up. The passport office here isn't the great. It is ridiculous that they are still using paper and pen to schedule appointments. This place is insanely packed with many people trying to pick up their passports. If you have an appointment, you have to be exactly on time or you will be skipped! That's horrible because it takes about a week or two for you to get an appointment. The passport office hours are different than the post office's regular hours. This makes it very confusing. The shipping stations typically have 5 staff members who work there. Some of them are friendly, some of them are pretty rude. It just depends on the day. Most of the time, I've never had an issue. Just remember to bring your own masking tape! They use to provide this, but now charge you approximately $3 to buy. Not a big deal, I guess. If you're on the road, you will pass by a 99 cent store, so you can save yourself $2 and pick up whatever else you need. The pick up line is located at the station closest to the double doors. There use to be a sign that says it's for pick up only. So you can avoid the long lines and walk straight to the pick up station....this will save you a lot of time. Occasionally, there won't be anyone working at the pickup station, so you will have to wait in line. I've had to pick up many things from the post office, and I only had to wait in line once. Overall, it is your typical post office. I am only giving them 3 stars because I think they need to find some way to be more efficient. Using a paper to write up your schedule is a little back dated. I'd give them another star if ALL the staff members were polite. This includes them answering the phones. When I call to track a package, I am put on hold for 15 minutes. The main positive...they haven't lost my packages, yet (knock on wood)! read more

Two packages supposedly delivered and lost and since the packages tracking says delivered I'm out the money for the items purchased on ebay. November 3, 2015: 200586547637 $34.69 October 24, 2015: 9400109699938882804027 $23.93 I never had packages lost until the former mail delivery person complaint that she had to buzz the gate button to get in to deliver mail so they made us install a box outside of the gate. We never lost packages before that, now I've lost two package within 2-weeks, they are not very expensive however they total $58.62 ebay will not assist in any refunds since the status shows delivered. I just had a package show delivered yesterday but it wasn't there. I have a feeling that my packages are being delivered to someone else on the other side of the block since I was given someone else package a couple of weeks ago, when I gave it back to the postal employee they explained to me that the address was the same but the next street over etc. This morning I've put a note on my box telling them NOT TO LEAVE PACKAGES in my mail box, I instructed them ring the bell so we will at least know they are delivering packages..... read more

Came here a few times to sent out my mails. Every single time I come here, they help automatically give me the best and cheapest route options. I saved about $4 on my package if it wasn't for them for I would just pay as I walk in and out. Called the Post Office to see if there were any packages waiting there for me. Reason I ask is because I'm waiting for a package shipped overseas and could be held at Customs. They said I needed a tracking number or Customs number in order to check. I told her that the shipper doesn't have any tracking whatsoever because of the service they're using. I asked her if there was any other way. She told me that the only other way is for them to physically go through the mail to check for my name but she doesn't have time. Well then. The lazy postal worker in the back won't even let me drop off one damn package when I arrived exactly at 5:00. I realize they close at 5:00 but she was closing it a bit earlier. It's not hard to just take one more package. The only good thing about this post office are the two Asian lady clerks and two Hispanic lady clerks. The rest are bipolar and will snap at you for no reason. The passport service lady is okay as well. Come early... Leave happy. Come late, prepare to wait.... The service is pretty OK. The people aren't too miserable looking nor are they cheerful to handle thousands of packages of unknown goods. There is one guy, Kevin, who always has a smile on his face and shares his happy demeanor with anyone and everyone that walks through the door. He's wonderful! Other than that, if you get here on a Friday the lines are almost as horrible as the DMVs-- The lines are just long in length but don't take up too much time like the DMV. However, if you get there early enough, you will be able to bask in the glory of not waiting. read more

Had such a wonderful experience here when I went to apply for a passport! Get in line early if you'll like your passport submitted and I mean early! The post office takes about 8 citizens a day. Karen was the employee filing passports for the day and she was kind and kept a smile on her face throughout the whole time (usually employees at the post office are rude and show no emotion)! Used to have a PO box and I never had any issues when dealing with the staff. Clean office. But since this past summer I have not been receiving my mail so I placed a Vacation Hold and when I went to pick up my mail last Friday, surprise - my mail was there. I ordered something via Amazon Prime and I was unfortunate enough that my shipment was to be handled by USPS. I ordered Friday, one day shipping. Part of the order delivered Saturday via Amazon, great. The other part of the order was to be delivered Sunday via USPS. No big deal. I was highly anticipating my items so I was stuck to my phone and the tracking page all day. Didn't even leave the house to avoid any possible issues. ETA stated delivery before 745 PM and as ridiculous as that is now I had no problem with it then. Around 630 I got notified that they had attempted delivery but couldn't get to either the door or the mailbox. That's a load of crap because the curb where they park is 10 ft away from the mailbox which is accessible by the curb and is next to the gate that opens up the property. No one arrived. I was outside most of the afternoon and did not spot a single USPS truck on route in my area. I took the issue up with Amazon, they said contact USPS to get a resolution. I filled out a non delivery form on the USPS site and was told it would be about 7 days before I received feedback. Well I just got off the phone with someone named Terry or Teresa from this branch. They called to "help" resolve my issue. I was explaining to her what happened, that I was supposed to receive Sunday but got the notice that they had attempted delivery. I questioned whether a truck was ever really in route, as I didn't see any type of paper or notice on my door/gate stating that they had attempted delivery. I explained that I spotted the mail man around 130 PM today Monday and actually approached him just to be sure. He did me the kind favor of checking his truck to see if he had anything for me. He gave me one of two packages, but my highly anticipated items were not on his truck. He triple checked before he concluded that it wasn't there. So I went back home and awaited a phone call hopefully one that was because they found it at their facility and it would deliver tomorrow. I couldn't even get a word in because I kept getting cut off, the obvious rebuttal from her that her system showed that this package was delivered as of this morning. I kept trying to explain but she kept raising her voice and not allowing me to speak. She was very adamant that her system was correct and that the package was delivered which is still not the case. I escalated this to Amazon and hopefully USPS will not be their carrier of choice any longer. They can't own up to mistakes and shift the blame elsewhere instead of helping us customers when we have issues. Ridiculous customer service but what can you expect from unsympathetic robots clocking in and waiting for 5 pm. read more

Brought in a package with prepaid label. Had to stand in line to ask for a priority mailing envelope because there was none on the shelves. Employee who was standing around refused to take the prepaid package, and told me to wait in line again, even though the packaged already had a label and he could've taken it easily. If I could give negative stars, I would give -100. The supervisors at this post office are a freaking joke. I have been going to the post office every day since last Wednesday to get a hold of Michelle, the delivery supervisor, and she is impossible to get a hold of. I have called and even went to leave my information for her to call me back about a package not being delivered even though the tracking showed it was delivered at the front door. The other supervisor, Marvin, checked the tracking number and the package was delivered down the street at the wrong address. He told me that he would talk to Michelle and she will follow up with me. Well guess what? No phone call from either of them. I just want my damn package back and now that I can never get a hold of Michelle, it's been over a week since it's been delivered. I was told by Marvin that when he spoke to her yesterday that she never saw any notes to call me back. THAT IS 6 NOTES! How does someone miss a note every single day? I find that impossible. Either she saw the note and does not give two craps about HER post offices' mistakes or the workers aren't leaving the notes at all. This is beyond ridiculous that I need to physically go to the post office each and every day to try to get a hold of her or call back because she wasn't available at the time I came in. So at this very moment in time, we still don't have our package and still can't get a hold of her because when I went in almost an hour ago, she was in a meeting. You best believe I will be getting in contact with USPS customer service and leaving an earful for them about this crappy supervisor and the lack of care they provide. read more

They take no responsibility for lost packages I bought merchandise worth $200 it's said it delivered at or in my mail box to my home on May 5 at 4:45. I was tracking my package exited for delivery day I didn't not receive my package in my mail or my door step! The best POST OFFICE, EVER! NO! MAYBE NOT! Probably the worst with customer service and service. If you OPERATE a business here good luck. If you plan to operate a business here make sure you use FED EX or UPS to start. We have small items like jewelry and they are small packages so we opt to use PO, but boy do we regret it. We on average spend thousands every year with post office and recently the mail lady decides to not pick up or let us know. So I tried to call, the number is always busy or the guy Juan brushes us off with various excuses. Still tho nothing gets done. We tried to reason and offer ways to make things easy so she won't skip our pick ups, since its important that packages get out but nothing; instead we get hung up on. I am in the middle of changing my services to use fed ex, sucks that it has come to this but I know Fed Ex will appreciate and treat us better since we are a $30K account. I AM SO AGGRAVATED! I thought the Diamond Bar Post Office was bad, this place makes that location look stellar! Let me start by stating that the carrier who delivers on Saturday is a lazy liar. I had a delivery from Amazon scheduled for delivery on 09/20/14. The mail carrier filled out a "sorry we missed you slip" and put it in with my mail. He/She did not ring the bell or knock, but just left the notice and took off. How do I know this? I was sitting in my living room opening the package that FedEx had delivered not 10 minutes prior. That is only where the nightmare starts. I called the 800-ASK-USPS number and the rep that I spoke to said that he would escalate a complaint and have the package redelivered. I called again today to confirm since the website still shows that my package is ready for pick up at the local office. I spoke to another rep who stated that the rep from Saturday did not put in the re-delivery; all he did was enter a case that pretty much said "the carrier is horrible". So, I call this direct line that the woman gave me today, but that line rings and rings. I found another number for the El Monte Post Office, but was informed that I needed to call the original number. When I told the guy that there was not answer he stated that it was because the lady was out to lunch and to call back after 12:45pm. I AM SO FRUSTRATED! Why do they have to make it so difficult to get your stuff?!@?! I have since gone online to schedule the re-delivery for tomorrow. However, I am still going to call this woman to complain since this is not the first time that they have pulled this crap. This is the worst post office I have EVER encountered. Our mail still gets forwarding labels after two years EVEN if the letters are addressed correctly. This process delays delivery by several days. If we get mail that cant be forwarded because of the forwarding labels IT GETS SENT BACK! Complaints to Post Master are handled by Ron Bocard who calls himself a Supervisor and refuses to help by becoming rude and sarcastic. Complaints in writing to stop placing forwarding labels are ignored, Post Master Rocina Gomez ignores call back requests and allows Ron Bocard to decide what her Post Master duties are. If ever a post office should be closed ITS THIS ONE. I am caring for a terminally ill family member in El Monte and dealing with this post office is extremely stressful and customer service shockingly vile!!! read more

I called the general USPS # to track a package and was told the package was sent to Elmonte post office in error rather than La Verne and will be re routed. They had me call LA Verne post office and somebody picked up phone right away and helped. I then called Elmonte about 20 times within 15mins period before anyone answered the phone. The woman who picked up the phone put me on hold for an hour, so while on hold I call from another phone and after a couple of tries a guy picks up and helps me locate my package within minutes. Whoever that lady is who put me on hold for over an hour is probably one of the people giving this post office bad reviews and bad customer service. read more
