This post office just doesn't give a damn about service. Just read the reviews here. Manager Luis and supervisor Jonathan do listen when you complaint but will do nothing to improve service or resolve complaints. They would just brush you off by saying "there is nothing I can do" (if there is nothing you can do I wouldn't bother to bring up the issues in the first place). They are just there for the pay checks and you can tell from their attitudes. Rosemead is a community of minorities. Most don't bother to complaint or have language barriers doing so, most simply give up. So the manager thinks he could get away by ignoring issues that are important to customers. After all, hasn't that been the attitude of the United States' Postal Office? As much as upper management is doing everything to improve services and image, this office is still left in stone-age era. Too many dinosaurs, new and old, are working here. When you have a bad manager, that attitude is reverberating down to the rest of the employees. It's not necessary the employee's' fault. read more

I live in Whitmore st Rosemead ca, lately most of my mail delivered to my neighbor house. Some they return to me but some are gone. So if you guys see your website with a 1 star. Terrible terrible service!!! They loose my packages . To top it off they never know who works delivering the mail to keep track of their workers. So irresponsible. 3x they lost packages it's like how hard is it to leave it in the mail box where it belongs!! It clearly says the address and they always return to sender. I came here to get my sons passport after I tried going to 2 other post offices and all of them were done with taking appointments for the day and it was only 9 am. But luckily this one took us and we probably waited about 30 min since there were 2 other people in front of us. Our turn came up and it didn't take more than 15 for our process. We went in ready. Worker behind the front counter is a complete moron! (Old asian guy). I've been selling items on eBay for years now and never had a problem with creating my labels and shipping. I usually drop off my item on the side and today there was no line so he told me to drop it off with him. He looked at my shipping label and told me I had to paid more for my package. So I took it back and went to the el monte post office, no issues. Management needs to hire smarter employee's. read more

The package arrived opened with the tape cut and peeled. Thankfully, everything inside it was fine and accounted for, but the contents could have easily fallen out. I'm wondering if the supervisor opened it after I called him. It wouldn't be surprising, considering all the complaints about mail theft on here. Terrible. They've lost my packages multiple times and always have some kind of attitude. Really considering to get rid of my P.o. box.

This is by far the worst USPS location I've been to. The South-East Asian lady "working" there is a nightmare to deal with. She's always giving attitude to the customers; she seems lost on what standard protocols are; and worst of all she lacks the basic skills to attend a counter. Little context: I manage an web-based business thus shipping of packages is literally my bread and butter. I stop to drop a package with a prepaid label on it. She then has the audacity to try and charge me "a little more" because...(stutters). I then proceed to tell her I'm NOT paying extra because the whole premise of a "Priority Flat rate box" is -Proper dimensions, -Proper weight, -One flat rate!!!! IT'S IN THE NAME. She then tries to counter argue at which point I flatly stop her (see what I did there?!) and take my box. All I can hear on my way out was her yelling "ok, ok, ok..." for me come back. So yeah, avoid this place like the plague. That said, there is ONE lady that is quite nice to deal with, Audrey; props to her for not letting the other bad apples spoil her great service. read more

Agreed with the yelpers on the Asian lady work at the passport window being rude, I was getting in line to apply for my passport yesterday and there's a woman and her son in front of me, The Lady, I believe her name is Emmy was telling them to go to another window 2 rows down which happened to have a worker available to help for passport, but I guess they couldn't hear her well so the mom looks lost and she asked " excuse me..what?" Right away with her bitchy attitude Emmy reply " the next one, HOW ABOUT THAT?!" I saw her rolled her eyes at them, oh my...she made me feel extremely uncomfortable with her bad attitude. Went here around 2pm to apply for my passport. I was helped by Emmy. There was only one person ahead of me, who happened to not be prepared so I was immediately helped. I filled out and printed my application online so everything was in order. Emmy and I made small talk. She was helpful to me and we shared laughs, but I can tell she has a no nonsense side lol thankfully I was ready. The photo fee is $15 (at Walgreen's its $14.25) and it cost like 0.25 for them to copy your drivers license. I did not pay for expedited delivery, however I received my passport about 2 weeks later! There was a line of about 8ppl waiting for postal service. My rating is only based off of my passport experience. Immediate parking lot is small so you'll need to park by the grocery store. read more

I had a really good experience when I went to do my passport application. I went on Friday at 8:20 and there was only 1 person in front of me. Waited till they opened (8:30) and then realized that they don't start passports till 9. Audrey came out at 9 and started passing out numbers and I was number 2. Waited for another 15 minutes and they called my number. I came prepared and had my photo taken, application complete, and brought the needed documents, so I was done in about 10 minutes. extremely disappointed at this location..I live in Carson and I usually do all my shipment through the USPS here , but yesterday I had to drop off a couple of packages at this particular USPS because it's close to where I work at..The lady who looks like an umpa loompa took my packages flipped the boxes around while weighing it and putting express stickers on it with no care for the packages whatsoever despite having "fragile" and "this side up" signs on the boxes! Then she literally threw the boxes to a basket about 2 feet away like she was playing basketball! What was the point of asking if there are any "fragile" items on the package then?! Second, she took forever..seems like she didn't know what she was doing or if she was new but it took more than 15mins to send out 2 packages! It usually only takes me about 5mins or less at the Carson location..ridiculous! read more

I've been coming to this post office for years and I ever time I go it's a "Whatever" experience it amazes me on all the hospitality reviews that are on this place. Yes majority of the time the mail clerks are some what rude but I just can't blame them. half the individuals that that go in just don't have any mannerism period..Asking ridiculous questions that lack common sense and the language barrier is tough and half the customers are just too much too.So I don't blame the clerks for being burnt out on being cheerful. Do not process your passport here. Severely unprofessional staff. Staff have zero reasoning ability, likely because they never graduated high school. They only know how to lick stamps, chemicals understandably affected their cognition and they are only able to grunt and threaten Rosemead citizens with violence. I was there on appointment yesterday for a passport the asian woman was very rude, impolite, and did not even listen to what I was trying to politely explain, afterward a older asian man with glasses and no uniform comes out and yells at me to not raise my voice or as he stated "I will KICK you out!" wow, exactly, the first response none of 'I will have to ask you to leave', just his first response was to physically threaten to kick me until I am displaced outdoors was his first reaction. I filed a complaint with the usps inspector general and usps consumer affairs office that manages this local office, they need to have these 2 workers resign or retrain their manners to be civil. I came in today, on a Thursday around 10.30 to apply for a passport for my son and I had a great experience. There was no line at all and Audrey assisted me and was very informative and helpful. I had done the research online what you have to bring such as birth certificate of baby, my ID, photo of my baby that we took at CVS, and a form that my husband notarized because he couldn't come with me (here is the link to it: https://www.state.gov/documents/organization/212243.pdf), and you also need to bring a copy of the back and front of your partners ID if they can't come. Since I brought all the right documents and had filled out the forms needed before I got there, I was done in about 5-10 minutes. Painless and smooth application. Based on the other reviews here that are very low I had expected a bad experience but it was a nice and friendly environment. You just have to do your research before going in. And try to not go too close to closing hour or too early in the day when people go before work. And beginning of a week is busier. read more

The guy named "Al" is very rude and very inpatient look and asked me "how many" after I told him how many he decided not to help me and help the next person behind me. I got there an hour before closing and it was pretty busy, but I was happy to see that one employee was asking every person in the line how she can help and she gave me form to fill out for my international parcel. Other customer came, she serviced them. I couldn't do mail and need in person. I called and asked if they open for Saturday for passport service, he said yes from 9 and gave 13 numbers at 830. Randomly came across this locations page and saw so many one stars review and just couldn't understand why that is as I've only experienced exceptional service here. I've been coming here for years now and have never been once been disappointed. I used to work for an optometry office a block away and we used to have to mail a lot of things out to patients and their service has always been quick and efficient. Even now, when I go, it's still the same people I've been seeing for the past 7 years. They always offer the best way for me to shop something out and are always so efficient in the way they work. I've even seen them genuinely took time to help and explain to customers who aren't very good at speaking and understand English. I went to mail two envelopes today for my company. And when I finish my postage, the old male bald guy with glasses was so rude. My boss asked me to take away some forms to fill in in advance before postage because we always mail envelopes to customers. However, the guy has a very inpatient look and asked me "how many". Bad customers service . The Chinese lady who works in passport counter was so rude, her face was like a big heavy rock, no smile and treat customers with attitude. I didn't see any pen, so I asked her if I can borrow her orn, she said with stone voice" thus prn is only for me", and didn't lend me the pen. Then she checked if there is any oen around, the pen on the signing list was out of ink. I told her that's why I needed a pen. .. then after she saw my bf, she was ok with him. Standard post office with good employees. I understand how a government employee would be cynical dealing with all walks of life. Two notable people here are the manager or Supervisor here (Calvin) has helped me with lost packages in the past (even gave me his number and told me to call him directly to check on status) and the other yelper Kingsley mentioned "the African lady who is the bomb". I laughably agree with him. Her name is Audrey, and she is the most patient and helpful post office employee I've met. I generally go out of my way in hopes of getting her to help me because she knows what it means to have customer service skills. I laughed and watched her patiently help a Chinese lady that was yelling at her in Chinese trying to buy large envelops. Audrey was relaxed and got her what she needed.
