Still great pizza BUT...not a single staff person was wearing a mask which has been a fixture here for some time and one of the reasons we felt safe to come back inside. A staffer told me "the requirement was lifted." It was never mandatory, just also good, common sense and recommended by strong science. The virus is not over, folks, despite fewer cases and deaths from the height of it all. I'll return when the management here resumes following CDC guidance and asks staff and patrons to act responsibly and wear a mask. As of this writing, masks are only "unnecessary" indoors now in small groups where each individual is KNOWN to have been fully vaccinated. I like this place, been coming here since late 2020 when post Covid re openings began and things started to normalize. Quality ingredients and a clear execution plan allows for non professional chefs to crank out excellent pizza. One advice, avoid the crowds and come in when it's less busy. I have been to this V's pizza and the newer location in Gainesville a few times. I've only been to this location for lunch. They offer pretty sweet calzones or cheese pizza's for lunch. There's a hole missing in my tummy since Al's took calzone's off their menu that V's has replaced. The one time my calzone had black grease I was given a 15 dollar gift card. I won't hold it against them. The staff are very friendly and courteous. I keep intending to give the gelato's a try, but I fill up on the pizza. read more

V's keeps it consistent and the flavors are steady, on time right when you need em. The full bar is nice too when a basic beer at the front order stand isn't gonna cut it. I haven't had a type of pizza here that I didn't like but my go-to is the margherita - taste is always on point and not too heavy on the belly, so you have some space for the calabrian wings. I came in with a group of people on a Sunday evening. I have been here many times and this time wasn't one I choose to remember, not because of the food, but the lag time of service and food. We ordered our food and had a seat. We had to go to the bar to get mixed drinks and certain beers which that in itself we understood but the time to get served at the bar is unnecessary and no way of telling how to get in between the people sitting at the bar to get served. Finally did get served the drinks and then we waited forever for the wings which we did get the original wings. I have to say what salvage the day is the fact the food quality did not let us down. That being said we should have been told at the time of order of the delay on the food instead of speculating the whole time and asking people where our order was. The problem is nobody even knew where our order was and we had not been given the salad upon order which isn't a normal. Usually they hand you those upon ordering so finally we asked about that and finally got that. The calzone came out finally, again was very good and huge. The two pizzas took well over an hour actually more like an hour and half to get there. Again great pizza, but the wait. When I went to close my bar tab out, the bartender had to take care of a text before closing me out. That is such a put off. I truly went before asking myself about the stars because the garbage was overflowing and it was dirty tables just not a normal experience at all. Our last visit was Awful, disgustingly dirty, gooey pizza with crust soaked in oils, and that was the second one after we sent the first one back, it was undercooked, the chicken wings were under cooked even though we asked for them to be cooked well, that may be because some of the staff just seem to not care and not be focused on the job for some reason. This place is next level. They actually had an error on my order, I got back to our airbnb and called and they fixed it immediately and were so apologetic. Even after that I give 5 stars. I had the prosciutto pizza, Paolo, I believe. It was delicious. We bought the kids the Hawaiian and they said it was the best they ever had. While eating I couldn't help but compare the consistency to an incredible local pizza shop in Tallahassee called Isabella's Pizzeria Napoletana - another 5 star jaunt. Tangent aside, I didn't expect the pizza to be as authentic as it was. I had the oven baked wings at their other location last December for The Yelpies. The pizza blew me away as much as those wings did! All I can say is, V means it when they slap "The Art of Pizza" across their sign. No artificial preservatives, fresh dough made in house, and ovens as the only cooking devices in the whole restaurant. Pizza Alla Di Pollo (Chicken Wing Pizza) - Outstanding. A dish where every ingredient shines. The lemon, the rosemary, of course the flavorful chicken, the sweet caramelized onions and rich gorgonzola. This isn't Americanized pizza. The service here is hard to say since it is a self help for refills, napkins, and silverware. It is at a perfect location to get lunch or dinner if you go to the beach. It is across the street from the pair parking lot. That is not far from the boardwalk. The food here is amazing. My family and I go here often. They bring your food to your table. All the food here is made fresh. Their tiramisu is best I have had in my world travels. They offer a 10% military discount but you have to ask for it at the register. read more

Authentic Italian pizza! I'm recently vegan, but with just the crust and sauce you knew it! The vegan cheese was pretty bland, but it didn't even matter cause the rest was so good. I didn't miss the cheese at all. My family split the pizza Paolo and the pizza alla di pollo and they said both were really good. They preferred the paolo, saying the chicken had too much flavor. But they plan on trying the wings next time. Love the layout and that it's attached to flask and cannon so you can get drinks from either restaurant. You get 10 huge wings that are wood fired in their pizza oven so they develop a deep, smokey char. They may be a little burnt for some people's taste but I really liked them! Then they're coated in Calabrian pepper sauce which has a nice kick. It's just spicy enough without overpowering the flavor of the slightly sweet pepper. They have the best concept during this pandemic! You can walk up to the window, order pizza, then wait for them to bring it out to you. You can also go next door to Flask & Cannon and order premade drinks in cute little bottles to consume with your pizza. The guy thought we were pretty weird to ask for lightly baked crust, but he made sure the bottom of the pizza was lightly baked with barely any burnt marks. The margherita pizza is our favorite, and it was oozing with cheese, along with the fresh basil and tomatoes. My kids love the Mac and cheese pizza (of course). My fav is the crying Hawaiian wings. Everything is perfectly cooked in these huge ovens that must be 1000 degrees (probably exaggerating). Fljorian (please forgive me if I spelled your name wrong) has worked there for years now. I met him almost 20 years ago when he worked for a man named Pete whom retired his pizzeria & has passed away now.
