Super clean , great selection , big menu , plenty to choose from .friendly service and fast as well . It's good to have choices , variety is where the flavor is . However, I ordered three pupusas, and when I got them , they were not even warm , it tasted like frozen dough, not a good flavor , all three were made with different ingredients and yet same result . Not a good experience for me , I wish they fix this issue , after all we are paying customers.

This new supermarket is a welcome addition to the local grocery scene - fresh, clean, and brightly lit throughout. The layout is open and inviting, and the store feels like it was built with both convenience and culture in mind. What sets this market apart is its clear orientation toward South of the Border flavors, offering an authentic selection of ingredients, ready-to-eat meals, and specialty items not often found in mainstream chains. We visited in the evening to check out their takeaway meal options. The "Order Aqui" menu board, see my pic, offers a good variety. One standout item in the pre-packaged food section is the "taco kit," which comes with everything needed for a family taco night. It's not only convenient, but also reasonably priced and generous in portion size. Freshness seems to be a real focus here. One example is the "made to order" salsa station - something you rarely see in most markets. Another positive sign is the constant restocking of produce. During our visit, several employees were busy replenishing the fresh fruit and vegetable displays, which were already abundant. This suggests brisk sales and a high turnover in inventory, which usually equates to better quality and fresher food on the shelves. Check out my pics of our dinners to go. We had a stuffed Cheese Crisp with pulled pork. This was rich in flavor and creamy cheese. As you can see the tortilla was seared to a crispy finish. Not to be out done in flavor, we also took home their Carne Asada Burrito, see my pic. This was hand-rolled with succulent meat and fresh Mexican rice and beans.

New upgraded shopping center near the interchange, right off of the 215 fwy. This addition in the area was a much needed grocery store for Spanish foods, ingredients, breads, tortillas, masa, meats, produce, that one ingredient the recipe calls for but you can't find, Dulce de leche and much more. The interior is all new and well organized in the space. Hot prepared foods available for a quick bite, tamales, sushi, aguas frescas, ceviche, lunch n dinner menu. Inside or patio seating available. Service was welcoming, plenty of parking right in front.

My favorite grocery store in the area, the food is made in-store and is fresh and delicious! I love coming to get the hot plates and Agua Fresca. I've been trying to get here for the pumpkin spice products (especially the pumpkin spice horchata) but I keep missing it! I'll definitely be trying again before the season is completely out.

The store over all is a 3. We LOVE everything BUT THE KITCHEN. The kitchen takes way too long. There in so initiative there from any of the workers. They all stand around confused and don't help customers. It took 40 minutes to get 1 taco, 1 pupusa and 1 torta and it's 8:55 pm and empty... there was no line. The portions are also an issue. I got 1 taco of chicharron verde. There is little to no meat on this.... It's an onion taco with green sauce at this point.

    Egg shells inside whole chicken.

This Vallarta location sold us spoiled and contaminated meat, and that is absolutely unacceptable. We purchased packaged ham and a whole chicken from this store. The ham was ROTTEN, with a strong, foul odor immediately upon opening. It was clearly unsafe and never should have been on the shelf. The chicken was even more disturbing it contained egg shell fragments inside the body cavity, which indicates improper processing and contamination. That is not normal, not safe, and not something customers should ever have to deal with when buying raw poultry. Because of the seriousness of this, the incident was reported to San Bernardino County Environmental Health, and an official complaint inspection was conducted. Regardless of what conditions looked like later, the fact remains: unsafe food was sold to consumers. Grocery prices are high enough no one should have to worry about getting sick from food they just bought. This experience completely destroyed my trust in this store. Check meat carefully or shop elsewhere.

My wife and I visited this newer location this weekend. Vallarta Supermarket was my GO-TO when we lived near the Anaheim location. This location in Colton is very nice! The tamales, carne asada, and pan dulce were all great. My only complaint was when we checked out. Lilliana T. was super friendly to the customers in front of us but for some reason when we checked out? Not one word. No greeting. No "your total is". Not even a response when I said thank you to her after paying. It couldn't have been a language barrier because she was speaking English to the customers before us and I'm bilingual in Spanish! Hope your day was better Lilliana. Mine was great with tamales from breakfast and carne asada for dinner.

So happy to have a Vallarta Supermarket in Colton! The store is very clean, organized, and well stocked. The meat selection is excellent, and the pan dulce (especially the conchas) is fresh and delicious. I've been a Vallarta customer since I was a kid, my mom shopped at the Baldwin Park location, so having one close to home now brings back great memories. They also have great deals, and the hot food and platter options are perfect and taste amazing. Highly recommend!

This place sucks ! You have. 14 cashiers that dont know what the hell there are doing ,give out wrong orders and blame it on the customer. ( me) also the food looks disgusting ( see picture ) they need to fire 10 of the 14 cashiers/ food preps,

Half roasted chicken plate - lots of food!

A woman who had been shopping at the market had hit my vehicle a few blocks away near the Stater Bros. shopping center. After the collision, she initially appeared to leave without stopping, and I followed her directly to the market. When I arrived, a man who worked at the store came outside and immediately became aggressive and confrontational toward me. He did not first ask what had happened or give me an opportunity to explain my side of the situation. He told me that he was going to check the store's cameras. I told him he was welcome to do so because I had followed the woman directly from the Stater Bros. shopping center. Instead of calmly trying to determine what had happened, however, he questioned why I was making such a big deal about the incident because the airbags in my vehicle had not deployed. That comment was extremely inappropriate. Whether airbags deploy has absolutely nothing to do with whether a collision occurred or whether damage was caused. A vehicle can be involved in an accident without the airbags deploying. Because of the way I was being confronted, I told him that I was going to call the police. At that point, he immediately told the woman to leave. What disappointed me most was the way the situation was handled. The driver initially appeared to leave the scene without stopping and denied hitting my vehicle. Rather than calmly hearing both sides and helping establish what had happened, the employee immediately confronted me, questioned the seriousness of the accident, and then told the woman to leave when I said I would contact the police. I hope the management of this market takes situations like this more seriously in the future. Customers should not be encouraged to leave after a reported accident, and someone who comes forward to address damage to their vehicle should not be aggressively confronted or made to feel intimidated. I am a woman, but that does not make my concerns about an accident any less legitimate. I expected the situation to be handled calmly and fairly, and unfortunately, that was not my experience.

On the shelf were only 2 boxes so I was looking for someone to help just when a gentleman in a nice white shirt with necktie came out from one of the check out stand.
