I bought a car from Mike Alshafie a few weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Mike was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and never pushy. He took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I was comfortable with every step of the process. If you're looking for a Lexus, I highly recommend asking for Mike!

My husband and I had no luck going around to drive cars and decided to stop by Valley Lexus where Eddie Kiryakous greeted us.

At that time, the 3333 address was the last business address going north on Mchenry. Dad had a racecar shop, which was added on sometime in about 1969, just past the original tire shop, and a large tire yard behind a 6-ft wood fence. That is where Dad kept my horse, Big Red, a very tall, very old sorrel gelding. My pet goat Becky was there with him to keep him company. It was common to pull into the business parking lot and see Red's giant head resting on top of the fence, and Becky standing on a pile of tires, right beside him.. I actually used to ride him in the big fields full of milk thistle (his favorite snack) which were just beyond the shop., where McHenry turned into flat farmland and emptiness. The last time I was there, I barely recognized the area, but there was that familiar sign. In reading the reviews, I see McCoy's is still going strong with the new ownership, who are still providing the best tires and service in town, just like in the old days!

The true core Value of running a business is the treatment of the consumer which I hold in high regard. A while ago. I had a issue with my tire and they treated me kind , then I needed a new Tire ( second experience with them ) I needed to replace the tire so I went back (They treated me very well then ) Today was my 3rd experience with them. 3 different issues completely different years of service... As they may service tons of people and not remember me personally ( to my surprise they actually did have my previous encounter stored and knew exactly which tire they replaced) I certainly remembered how they treated me in the past.TODAY WAS NO DIFFERENT they had me in and out of there and my experience was just as pleasant. Thank you to the McCoy Crew Sincerely ,Angela

Tammy, Victor's wife, is one of thee nicest women I have ever met. Her kindest and understanding brings me to tears just thinking about that day. It was stressful for me as a mom of 2 young children in a new city. She was unbelievably sweet about it. Victor is awesome as well! He told me what needed to be done on my truck, what should be done first and an estimate on how much each job would cost. He educated me on what can happen if I didn't maintain the car and I could feel that he was honestly trying to save me money. Will definitely be returning for servicing and all future repairs, as well as recommending them to anyone who asks!

Got a great quote from the owner Victor and took it in to his shop that afternoon, since I didn't have a ride back he even arranged for a ride back to my house. I own a 2000 VW Jetta with around 110,000 miles and sadly, I have not put much into the car besides gas and oil. He called me the next day with a laundry list of items that needed to be addressed including the timing and serpantine belt. I knew the belts were getting bad and were cracking and squealing and the rear brakes were shot. I told him I was on a tight budget being unemployed so we came up with an action plan based on what was major issues and which could be done later. Service was incredible and the personal attention to the customer was great. Got a few calls along the way with updates and was really pleased. Not only was the price exceptional, he even offered to track down a new front grille that got crushed from debris that kicked up on the freeway a few months back and a door lock assembly that went bad -- two small things that were driving me nuts! Long story short....I have had the most incredible experience from this shop.

While driving home all of the sudden all the warning lights come on my dash. You would have thought the car was about to blow up! I took my Civic to my local Honda dealer as I have always done. They diagnosed the issue and told me my engine harness needed to be replaced. I about lost it when they said it would be $3000. My car was not drivable, but I just couldn't hand over three thousand of my hard earned dollars. Luckily, I had access to a loaner vehicle in my family, so I had time to search for an alternative repair shop. I put the word out and a friend referred me to this shop. It is about an hour, some distance from my home, but I decided to give them a shot. I am sure glad I did! I was impressed from the moment I walked into the shop. I was warmly greeted by Sheila and I took notice of the cleanliness of not only the customer area but repair area too! Shelia discussed my concerns and promised to have a diagnosis by the end of the day. I was pleasantly surprised when I learned the repairs could be done for a fraction of what I was originally quoted. A&F Mechanic was able to resolve my original concern plus two others I asked them to look at. All this at less than 1/3 of what the dealer quoted for one problem. Sure cost is important, especially in this economy, but so is courtesy and trustworthiness. A&F Mechanic has all these and more. I would surely consider them again for my auto mechanic needs and would recommend you give them a try like I did.

My car went in the second week of January 2025. When we checked my dad's car. After it was painted, we found over thirty two blemishes,Nibs, drips and scratches in the new paint. When we questioned them about it, they said, that's what you paid for. We then found that they do not have a paint booth. They paint in an open bay shop. I spoke with several of their employees, and they confirmed this. After a lengthy argument with management they finally decided to fix the paint when legal action and epa would be notified,But refused to put the chrome on. The body man said they didn't know how to put the chrome on the car. After a second time inspecting the car, we found that there were still several nibs runs and scratches on the new paint job. They finally agreed to fix it, but told me to remove my car that they no longer wanted my business. That they did not have the capability to paint a car to the level that was expected. ( a paint job without runs nibs and scratches) When i got my car back home. I was unable to open up the passenger side door, the body man had adjusted the fenders, too close. I found two broken bolts in the fenders, i supplied a brand new kit of bolts and they were in place but upon inspection I found random bolts were put in their place. After further inspection of my dad's car and checking the work that they fixed. We found more drips and scratches. The rearbumper that was install did not have the brackets in place and random bolts we're put in mounting it with a 3" gap on one side and a 1/4 gap on the other. The front bumper was also installed Incorrectly, with the wrong bolts and brackets. there were scratches on the lower valance. We were able to fix and adjust all mounting errors with little effort but the paint remains sub par. i'm sure that this business will say otherwise but luckily all conversations were videotaped or record. EPA, BBB and local agencies are being contacted. Do not take your to this place . You would get a better job at home in a garage!
