Super professional Greeted me very kindly and explained how his garage works. And his staff is on top of things! He explained how my mom's car worked and if it needed anything else. This was amazing! They were attentive and completely checked her car out thoroughly. Even tire pressure, who knew? This is a hidden gem! They even showed me how my mom's cat didn't need much antifreeze and since I had one they pored it on also. This is what I am talking about! Early in the morning and I'm out in 10 minutes? I am not only amazed but highly recommend this spot to anyone needing an oil change! I am a highly satisfied customer and the best review I can give is a 5 star. I went to the place in Alsip, in 122nd and Pulaski. the employee that took care of me refused to take my Groupon, even though I asked him to type in the code manually like most Valvoline places if they can not scan the code. I pleaded with him and he still refused, very unprofessional!! He open my glove comportment to get to a filter, he was having a hard time getting to it, so the F bomb was said many times. After everything I had in the glove department fell out, I told him I would put it back in. But he insisted to put all my stuff in. As I left, I saw half my stuff all over the floor under the glove compartment. Beware!! Terrible service!! read more

Unable to get to my suburban BMW dealer for a regular oil change, I succumbed to a Groupon promotion for this Valvoline service center. It was a huge error. Knowing that my car requires synthetic oil, I selected this higher-priced coupon. When I first arrived at the location, I quizzed them on the availability of the proper oil filter for this model. They assured me they had it. They began the oil change, and then announced that the "coupon price" needed an extra up charge of $11 for "BMW standard" oil. Yeah, right. Then I noticed a halt in the activity, and when I inquired I was told "we don't have the filter so we've called a car parts store and they'll bring it right down". 19 minutes later the filter arrived - a cheap Chinese knockoff instead of the "brand name" filters that lined the shelves. Quick, easy, contact free and they were very nice! This is the closest location to me and I live downtown (River North). The guys checked my headlights, taillights, tires, tire pressure and wipers. The service included refill of all my fluids and they filled up my tires that were low. Overall super happy especially if you're trying to social distance because you get to remain in your vehicle. Let me begin with this place is outrageously OVERPRICED. I paid nearly 90$ for a synthetic oil change!! They charge you per 5qts or something so I had to shell out an extra 30$ to receive a full oil change on my jeep! WHAT A RIP OFF! Then they recommended I get some type of service to clean out my jeeps gas tank to "increase mileage" My car is brand new and is under 10k miles. Why on earth would you recommended this service on a new car!? At Lube-It I would only pay around 60$ since I would get 13$ discount for coming early and being a returning customer. They wouldn't push any other service on you unless it was needed. I'm really bummed this place has become a Valvoline. I will not be returning to get any type of service on my car. I came here since Lube-it had very reasonable pricing and was super close to my house, I will now be making the 1hr drive to my dealer as they send me coupons when its time to service my car. They don't know anything about vehicles. Wife and i went here to get an oil change and the workers told us that they needed to do an oil flush. To flush all the bad oil from our oil compartment. We agreed since they're the experts. Paid over $100. 2 weeks later our engine light came on we stopped and took it to our mechanic and he told us it's our engine. He checked it and found metal shavings in our oil, he asked us if we had done a flush and we said yes that we took it to valvoline they told us that it's recommend. Our mechanic even said that you CANNOT do oil flushes on this vehicle. We looked in our vehicles manual and it states it in the manual too. We went back to velvoline and they didn't want to take blame. They told us it was our fault for not saying so in the 1st place. We told them, you are the experts here not us. You told us "we recommend it" We needed a new engine after that, which they refused to pay. We had to junk our vehicle. A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE TURNED INTO LOSING OUR VEHICLE. read more

Went in for a oil change and drove off. Next thing I know my check engine light starts flashing and turns out my airflow sensor was damaged during the oil change while changing mmh filter. Called manager and customer service and waited 2 months for them to say that through video they did not see anything. After trying to talk to manager about the issue he just hung up and never heard back from them. read more

Then I got out of the car cuz not even that they tell you if u stay or get out so I just got out and they were no seating area or nothing just two dam chairs in a filthy room. FANTASTIC service! I love the guys who work here. They are very friendly and are always kind. They now have valvoline products and review things due on your car by mileage and VIN. I also love that you do not not have to get out. I can see and hear everything going on and being checked. Another great thing about this place, they have access to carfax and report all services I receive from them. They forgot to put the oil plug back in and my car broke down while on the highway on a road trip completely destroying my engine. Imma friends and I could have seriously been hurt on the road because of their incompetence. Forced to stay in Indiana overnight. Had to leave my car there for a week while the car service replaced it. Had a lot of pocket costs, some of which they did compensate me for but they did not for everything. You would think they'd want to make things right but they try to get out of paying for a lot of my costs. They don't value my time at all. Their insurance just got done paying my insurance 3 months after the incident. I was waiting to get my deductible back. Worst experience ever.
