Went to this dealership last weekend(June 24th) because we saw one of their minivans on Cars.com for MSRP $40,655 but was on sale for $36,240. We filled out the credit app a week before. They told us we were approved. When we got there, they tried to give us a deal without the discount price of the vehicle. I showed them their ad on Cars.com, which by the way had no asterisks that usually shows fine print remarks. They told us they couldn't give us that price. we asked why multiple times and they kept trying to change the subject on us. So we just told them thank you and left. IF YOU ADVERTISE A PRICE, HONOR IT. This a perfect example of false advertising. I reviewed the seller's notes and there's nothing that says you have to have a certain credit score, down payment or certain qualification to get the sales price. Went to a couple other places before hand but the RW crew was the only one that listened to what we wanted rather than telling us what they would sell us. Definitely ask for Riley Oliff. I got there and there were two guys behind the computers one seen really busy typing the other one was also doing something else. Not even a "good morning, I'll be with you shortly." Or some kind of acknowledgement that they had seen me. Then when they finally help me, the guy ,last name Cordova, made me feel like they were given me the oil change free. I bought the maintenance package that includes oil changes. Sales department should NOT sale those packages if the service department will put people down when try to use it. Most of the time they are rude and not really helpful. Luckily this last time I got to work with Alan Jones. He works in the service department and has some of the best customer service.He has been the first and only person that i've dealt with at a dealership that I didn't feel like he was trying to take advantage. He was honest and was there to help guide me with what I needed done. He offered suggestion and gave me some insight on my car and what I may need in the future. I purchased a used car with extended warranty from a Chrysler dealership that has since closed and can't find the paperwork so was told to call Russell Westbrook that they may be able to help me figure out the warranty. I spoke to Paola in the service Dept today and at first she couldn't find the info since the car isn't actually a Chrysler and told me I would need to call a local Chevy dealer since car is a Chevy. I told her someone else told me the warranty was probably thru a company called JM&A so Paola took it a step further logged into their program and was able to locate my warranty and give me all the information I needed. Seeing as they were never going to even get my business since they don't service Chevys I find this to be excellent customer service that went above and beyond! Next time I need a new or used car I will be sure to check out Russell Westbrook in Van Nuys. Worst car "buying" experience I've had. I'm a first time buyer, been looking for a new car for a few months now and let me tell you; Worst place I've been to so far. fake car prices, no negotiating, cars look dirty inside out. Finding a sales rep was easy, but after test driving the car with no sales rep or employee with you, finding that original sales rep is unheard of. Second sales rep didn't even know the price of the car when I started talking prices. Then denied the price listed on car gurus and on carfax. There webpage on the search bar matched the price on both websites but when you press search, the price would increase by a few thousand. After showing the sales rep both websites plus there's, he stated that I was wrong and never bothered negotiating. After the sales rep found out the price of the car he tried adding EVEN MORE money onto it because of "all the perks it had". The car on the webpages was 19,000$ they said it was 21,000$ then tried to add another 3,000$ because of those perks. I was ready to buy that car with all the small problems it had for the original price listed. All said and done going in thinking it was 19k leaving after the guy tried to say it was 24k before taxes and what not. Horrible place. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had at a dealership. Our salesman showed no interest in helping us find a car, he drove us to their remote lot and was texting another customer while driving and not wearing his seatbelt. We found a car on their remote lot with no help from Mr text and was hurried back to the dealer where he dumped us for another customer after handing us off to a manager who was supposed to get us pricing on the vehicle we were interested in. After sitting in the showroom for a half hour we walked over to their cubicle, asked for my license back and asked them to call us when they had a price put together. Never heard from the manager so we text our texting salesman who said he'd get right on it. Never heard back from either one. It was a circus with horrible music, I will NEVER recommend this dealership! They did offer us a water so they get a star. read more

From Beginning to End, every aspect of my car buying experience at this place was an exercise of disappointment, disgust, and anger. I came with the purpose of purchasing a 2014 Dodge Charger R/T. First of all "NOBODY" knew what they were doing period! Liliana Paz is About as INEPT as they could possibly come, she Half-Assed on Everything, From locating the vehicle that I wanted from the website, to expediting a pre-approved buy from a credit union...instead they insisted on running my credit for the vehicle when I already had a loan before walking in to their dealership, making sure all the paperwork was in order, to ensuring the vehicle had gas in it when I picked it up, NOTHING WAS DONE. Someone else had to correct all the issues behind Liliana Paz, not to mention the unpaid work days that I wasted at this place. Even after finally getting the car home, 4 weeks later the brakes have not stopped squeaking, the check engine light came on, and the lifters are tapping. I expressed these issues to the service adviser at the day of my appointment 10/02/19 by the time 10/11/19 came, I just showed up and picked my vehicle up because I got no definitive feedback on the status of my vehicle on the phone from the several people that I talked to and it just so happened the service adviser whom I talked to initially was no longer working there. They fixed the check engine situation, but the brakes are still squeaking loudly and the lifters are still tapping, which "they didn't hear" on top of that. I still haven't received my license plates, I purchased the vehicle in August 2019 and whoever this DMV person there is "Monique" doesn't answer her phone period!!! I was shopping for a Jeep and saw their posting in CarGuru. I called the Van Nuys dealership and confirmed the price and made an appt and drove 2 hours to get the car. After having to wait an hour, and then test driving it and sitting down to buy it , I was told that wasn't really the price, that all the upgrades, (that already existed on this used car), now had to be added to the price, $4500. This was a 2018 jeep. It should have been sold as advertised. This was a total bait and switch and very unethical. I left and bought a jeep at another dealer in Long Beach. I also called several dealerships to find out if this was standard practice on adding a price on after the price is set on a car that already has the upgrades on it and has been advertised. Not one single dealer said that was correct or how they did business. I have purchased over 35 cars so far and have never seen a dealer this blatantly shady. The managers name was Shaddy. He was the one authorizing this type of bait and switch. I would recommend no one buy at this dealership, they lack integrity and are not operating the way business is done in this industry. read more

Bought a brand new 2021 dodge and when seeing the car I noticed it had white stans on the black decal and sales person told me it was just dirty after I left the lot I noticed it was still there 30 mins later so I went back to the dealership and they pushed me away saying they will order me a new part then I get the run around for 4 weeks and decal was never order and that they need to see the car again so my husband brings the car and they asked if they good take it to try to clean it again and my husband said go ahead but it won't come off and don't put wax on the back (it was a matte finish you don't polish a matte finish) employee sure enough brought it back and applied wax to the car so they're whole matte finish wore off so of course I request a new car that wasn't damaged. They sure enough promise it but I had to wait 8 weeks because there's none in stock and then here we are 4 months later car finally came in their assistant manager says they have to take my car as a trade in and run my credit and charge me 5,000 to get to the same balance I had before! From September 10th through October 1st I have had little or no contact from your service provider regarding the status of my vehicle, not until I reached out to Mike Gonzalez did I start receiving updates regarding my vehicle. At one point your sevice advisor stated he was on the phone for one hour and hung up and would try again the next day. Then I find out that the technician that was assigned my vehicle was fired and a new technician ( for how long I dont know) was not assigned yet. Then the advisor had a child which of course he is going to miss work because of this but no one took over his work load. These are just a few examples of what I have endured this past 5 weeks. On October 3, 2019 I was called by an Oscar and told that I would have to come out of pocket for a battery issue, at this time I stated to him that I would not be stuck with an 1100 rental bill and 525 car bill when your company cannot get on the same page and the lack of communication to me regarding my vehicle, had I known this I would have went elsewhere. Thank fully they did rescind that bill and notified me that the car will be ready on Oct 8th the latest. Well Sir today is October 15th and I was just told my car is STILL not ready and that they will not cover these rental fees. I believe this to be no fault at mine that my car is not ready yet when I was told it would be at the latest ready on October 8th. So I ask you please rectify this matter and do what is fair and cover this rental fee since it is taking longer than what I was notified. If you cannot resolve this matter I will consult with my lawyer to look into what other Avenues can be taken. Please take note I have all the text messages to your advisor who now denies ever saying he hung up on the warranty department. read more

I just bought a 2015 Jeep Renegade Limited from Israel, and I couldn't be more pleased. I have experienced the "good", the "bad", and the "ugly", with regard to car salesman and I can tell you Israel falls into the very rare category of the "good". Here's how it happened. My husband and I decided we were maybe in the market for a new ride and after careful consideration thought that the Jeep Renegade might be it. We drove over to the nearest dealership and test drove one. Israel was our sales rep. Never in this initial process were we feeling pressure to close on the spot. Israel knows that buying a car is a HUGE decision even if it doesn't work out in his favor. He is for the customer. That day he listened to what we needed and offered to help us find the right car for us for the right price. At the end of the day, or week rather, the dealership he works for didn't have the vehicle in stock that we thought we wanted. After really listening to our desires he didn't pressure us to purchase one of his cars. He let us go. HE LET US GO!!!! Because he truly wanted us to be happy with whatever decision we made. We went to the dealership that had the car with those features. They treated us SO POORLY! Not only did they offer a really shady deal but they didn't even ask us if we wanted WATER knowing that we had driven 50+ miles to purchase their car. We left that dealership to "think about it" but knew we were only going to buy a car from someone who looked out for us. We sat at a restaurant half a mile from the crappy dealership and called Israel. We knew that the small difference between the two cars was not worth dealing with the price difference and the customer service difference. In all honesty we were extremely happy to give Israel the sale over the other guys simply because HE was a champion for our needs. He offered to stay late until we could get back and close the deal with him. We got an amazing deal on the price and TOP of the line customer service. I took my car for a inspection and he gave me a high price for repairs, when I ask him if I can get any discount he told me the why he should give a discount if the person with the problem is me not them. After the inspection my car came out with the gear shift broken he supposed to talk to his manager and give a call back thing that never happened until I call him and ask about the part. When I went to get the car fix and approached to him to ask him a question he just walk away and left me talking by myself. OMG!!! I leased my car at the Glendale Jeep. I made an appointment with Hernan (financial director) on Tuesday to return the vehicle today, oct.9 at 7pm. Went today to return the leased vehicle @6pm, & the first thing the salesman and manager asked, " are you purchasing a new car". I said not now, & they told me the person in charge of lease returns is out of the country.... so i started to complain that the way the manager and sales rep was handling the situation was not fair. And then manager threatened to call the cops if I did not leave the premises. The manager said he has more important things to do than accept my return. And the last thing he said was, "you are not gonna find another dealership to accept your return, & smirked". They are just ignorant, racist ppl. I can guarantee that if i was non-asian they would of treated me differently. So I yelped jeep dealership near by. Found "Van Nuys Jeep"- the best dealership ever. Called and got connected to Travis Larsen, the finance director. Wow~ he said no appt required. To just bring it in... but it was 8pm. He said he would wait for me. Arrived at 8:30pm (before closing) but Travis and the general manager Eric Ace were so friendly, generous, & kind. They apologized on behalf of glendale for the bad experience I encountered. What can I say more? They are just AWESOME!! If you are planning to lease or buy, u should come here. DO NOT GO TO GLENDALE JEEP!! AVOID THE SERVICE CENTER. This review is just for the service center. They took our car in and said it would definitely be done by the end of the day and theyd let us know what needed to be done before they started working on it.....hours went by with no word....we called and nobody answered multiple times. Finally we were transferred to hector who was the person who had helped us. It went to his voicemail...we also texted the number he had given us with no response. The whole damn day goes by and they close without ever contacting us ONCE....when we clearly stated we needed the car for work the next day! Didn't even hear from him until house into the next day to finally hear what was wrong & then given a huge estimate. Who keeps your car for over 24 hours without so much as a word-when you promise you can have it done by the end of the day. 100% would never bring a car back here to be worked on. I had been looking for awhile for a Wrangler Unlimited Altitude. I had a day off during the week and stayed up the night before with my fiancé looking at which dealerships had the vehicle and what kind of reviews they had on Yelp. We came across Van Nuys and they had a few Altitude models and had good Yelp reviews, so we decided we would go there and try our luck with purchasing a Jeep. When we got there we were greeted by Israel and right then and there we knew we were in good hands. He was personable and knowledgeable about the Jeep. He even introduced us to Eric the general manager, before we even chose a Wrangler. When it came to the Wrangler, they had the Altitude package but it was in white...really wanted the Billet Silver. Needles to say Israel and Eric made it happen, they searched all across California and found what we were looking for in our Wrangler. Both Israel and Eric wanted to make sure we got what we wanted and that we were 100% happy and satisfied with our Wrangler. Well, they succeeded. We got the Wrangler the color we wanted and with the features we wanted. Not only did we get what we wanted but we also got a great deal on our Jeep.
