This place is a sleeper and not to be missed. It is so good! We've come here at least 6 times since first discovering it. You can tell it's a local favorite when you dine here because of how busy the restaurant gets and all the foot traffic for takeout. There's not a bad thing on the menu. Our favorite is the pad Thai. It's the best pad Thai I've had anywhere. I'm not sure how "authentic" it is for those crazy Yelpers, but in terms of taste, presentation and the plentifulness of green onions it's the best in my book. Here's what we've tried: Pad Thai 5/5 Pad see ew 4/5 Pumpkin curry 5/5 Tom Kha 4/5 Tom yum 4/5 Garlic prawns 5/5 Mango curry 4/5 Larb salad 5/5 Eggplant basil with tofu 5/5 Lime tea 4/5 Thai tea 5/5

Food was very filling and great flavors! Gladly able to come back again to the other items they have to offer!

lunch combo: YELLOW CURRY and PAD THAI

we came on a friday shortly after opening and was seated immediately. interior was clean, sunny, and nicely decorated, with nice photos on the walls. service was okay, server was nice but i felt my requests (to-go box/restroom location) felt like i was inconvencing them. i really liked how unique their lunch combo was, as i've never seen pad thai or satay available at any other restaurant before. salad dressing was refreshing and tart. the yellow curry had the perfect amount of spice (for someone who has a very low spice tolerance). the pad thai had much thinner noodles from what i'm used to, but had such good flavor. the shrimps were large and were an extra $2 ON TOP of the provided tofu. for $17 i think it was an excellent deal, with a good amount of food that left me at a good level of fullness.

This spot is so cute and I love the authentic Thai flavors. My favorite go to dishes are the Tom ka, the yellow chicken curry and the fried yams. The fried yams have a thick tempura style batter and are served with the most delicious peanut sauce. I also love the pad Thai and the green curry when I'm feeling spicy. The service is always great and welcoming. This is the best place to get Thai in the sunset!

Another delicious meal at our local treasure I just had a rough day with medical appointed was in a bad mood Fortunately, it occurred to me Vanida Thai is open Mondays and I treated myself to dinner ( take out so I could eat in my pjs!) Tom kha with tofu, pumpkin curry and Thai iced tea. So good!! Instant happiness while I waited in their comfortable dining room ( far too empty) with photos on the wall and clean tables ready to serve A family run establishment with great service Please go support our neighborhood restaurant and enjoy their yummy food

Stumbled on this Thai restaurant 9 years ago and I'm glad they're still in business. We love their lunch specials at Vanida Thai and they're even available on the weekends. D2 chose the chicken satay and the garlic pork. I had the eggplant with pork and pad thai. Not shown the option for salad or small soup. I had the soup and she had the salad. Very attentive and wildly popular spot for locals. The restaurant itself isn't very big. I honestly should come more often.

We ordered the Papaya Salad, Veg Spring Rolls, House Favorite Yellow Curry, Eggplant Basil, Pad Kee Mao, and White Rice. The Papaya Salad was a bit disappointing. It was overly sour and tasted more citrusy than fresh and lime-forward. The Veg Spring Rolls were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. The biggest letdown was the Yellow Curry. It lacked the rich flavor I typically expect from a Thai curry, and some of the vegetables seemed undercooked. The Eggplant Basil was also underwhelming. It lacked the distinct basil flavor that the dish is known for. Since we ordered the vegetarian version, it came loaded with a mix of other vegetables, which made it feel more like a generic vegetable stir-fry than an eggplant basil dish. The Pad Kee Mao was the standout of the meal. It had good flavor and was enjoyable, although the portion size felt a bit small for the price. Overall, the food was ok, but nothing really stood out. I've had better Thai food elsewhere, both in terms of flavor and value. While the experience wasn't bad, it wasn't memorable enough to make me want to return. For the price point, I expected more authentic flavors and better execution.

I got crispy calamari which was perfectly crunchy and delicious. I love the inner texture that blended so well with the crispy texture. For my main dish, I got Pad See You Chicken. If you're going to do that, do add a small bit of oil, it's really spicy. The chicken was tender which was such a good blend. Their Thai Iced Tea is so good and creamy. They serve it in a huge ice ball! It was pretty cool and unique. The person who served us was very kind and welcoming. I loved his energy, I wish I got his name. I only knocked the restaurant down by a star because the servers were pretty pushy with wanting us to leave despite the multitude of empty tables around us. Besides that, the food is really delicious. The papaya salad is amazing if you like spice! There was a great kick and acidity to the papaya salad distributed throughout the fresh vegetables in the dish. I highly recommend! The pumpkin fries were also a great choice: crispy fry with soft pumpkin inside, maintaining the overall pumpkin flavor profile. The sauce they provide on the side (sweet and sour plum sauce), cut through the fry but didn't overwhelm the pumpkin itself. For myself, I got the yellow curry with chicken. The curry dishes do not come with rice, so you will have to order that on the side. The curry is not only a generous portion, but FULL of ingredients. They do not skimp on the meat, potatoes, etc. Highly recommend trying Farmhouse Kitchen for some flavorful Thai dishes!

Every bite and sip was delicious. We ordered family style and shared everything. We ate quickly and boxed the rest so they could get home. What we ordered: Tom Kha soup - coconutty, creamy, a lil sour and a lil spice. Delicious. Fresh rolls - crisp and springy with lots of greens and tofu and a good peanut sauce to dip. Crispy pork belly sweet basil - the CRISP and flavor of this pork belly was to die for. Chicken larb - this was my favorite dish of the night. Heavy basil/herbs, just a little kick from the chilies, full on flavor explosion. I will be thinking of this dish for a long time haha. Beef Pad See Ew - chewy in the most delicious and favor packed way. Love pad see ew and this one was great! Pad cha scallop - Came out sizzling on a cast iron! This dish was fun and the scallops while small, were fresh and had lots of flavor. And finally, for dessert we ordered the black rice durian. It was all three of us' first time trying Durian and we loved it! Creamy and a little funky but the black rice and sauce emphasized its natural sweetness. In my opinion Lapisara ranks in the middle due to the other excellent options available. Seated immediately--had a reso but on a Wednesday morning not really necessary. It took a long time for the single employee to get to us but we weren't in a hurry. Cappuccino was very good in a cute "bear mug" and very reasonably priced. We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Dinner-5++ stars; 4 of us Had dinner last night-6pm-reso but not needed. only one other group dining. Single Waitress was great-we let her know we needed to leave in about an hour for a show and she timed everything perfectly--we even had time for dessert. we ordered so many items that she brought over an extra table--we shared everything family style. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. Creme Brulee was very good with lots of fresh fruit accompaniment My only complaint was a very limited wine selection. Lapisaia will become one of our regular spots for dinner!!!

We would've expected the pork to be sliced maybe in half or fourths to make the dish feel like a "pork fried rice" than a fried rice + pork mix, but it still worked well and if you love pork, this will definitely be your fix! 5/5 - Pad Thai - We thought the restaurant nailed this classic noodle dish.
