    High Protein Salad
    Angel R.

I placed an order for pickup and didn't know what to expect. The place has a very good vibe inside and around it full of plants and life. When I got home and tried the pad see ew with a side of shrimp and veggie fried rice, I fell in love and couldn't wait to come back. The high protein salad made me fall in love even more and I felt satisfied while not feeling the heaviness of eating Thai food. Service was great as well and I'll be returning with family and friends soon!

Veggie House is by far my favorite vegetarian spot in the valley area of Universal City! I used to live close to the restaurant and I still will come by if I'm in the area. Parking available in the back! The pad thai is my favorite I always try to get a side or appetizer to go along with it. The drumsticks are a favorite as well and shareable with a date. I tried the crispy portobello" fries " it was a very large portion and extremely crispy. These are all good things! we had her bring us an extra side of dipping sauce because we were really enjoying it and soaking them up! They have a small amount of tables for dine in guests, but I have done takeout plenty of times with great experiences.

Ordered ahead for pick up. They take about 20min to make. I came around 7pm on a Monday and street parking is tough. Not much availability so good thing I go it to go. 6/10 Mango sticky rice $9.95- mangos were sweet, ripe, and juicy but coconut sauce wasn't that great. Not much coconut, pretty plain. 7/10 Orange chicken $13.95- the chicken was crispy and hot and similar to popcorn chicken without the seasoning and instead had a side of orange sauce which was good because it kept the chicken crispy. The sauce tasted a bit artificial tho. 6/10 King Mushrooms With veggies and tofu $12.95- not well seasoned at all. Food was all vegan but not that great.

We were in the Burbank area and super glad we stopped by to try it. The food is very delicious, everything was served warm. All of the dishes have such good flavor. My husband recently became vegan so being able to find great food and trying new dishes has made it even better! We spoke to someone at the restaurant and he was very welcoming. The restaurant is very clean, and they have super cute outdoor seating. I would recommend all the dishes we tried and the serving size is plenty so we even got to take some home with us. Definitely recommend and parking is in the back area.

The avocado curry was PHENOMENAL! It had the perfect amount of sweetness with the right amount of spice. The vegetables were diverse. I just loved it with my rice. The garlic chicken was great. My 4-year-old son loved it, so if it's toddler approved- it must be good! We were very satisfied and we will definitely come here again. The Thai iced tea was bomb too. Free Parking behind the restaurant. The host made a snarky comment while we were ordering. The delicious food made up for it.

    Divine spicy eggplant! With jazz.

At twice the size of a postage stamp one is shipped to an enchanted realm of lovingly prepared delicious food. The velvety spicy eggplant held court with a broad range of colorful tender vegetables dressed in a savory spicy broth. The chilly early February day was met with the host turning up the heater as if telepathic. The character driven brown rice made no apologies for its stoic opinion. A paper straw met my lips for the reward of Thai ice tea. Jazz trickled in, splendid!

"Thank you for supporting my small business" sticker on the Thai tea float. Cute

I started with the vegan chicken salad, and it was honestly such a pleasant surprise. It was fresh, creamy, filling and came with warm bread on the side. It is a great option for someone who wants something a little lighter without leaving hungry. The California Hamburger was also solid and came loaded with guacamole and fresh toppings, but the asada tacos completely stole the show. The soy asada was packed with flavor, and once I added their house salsa, I was officially addicted. I also tried the Special Pizza. I am not usually a pizza person, but I completely understand why this one is so popular. It was loaded with toppings, had a good crust and tasted even better with a little extra spice. For drinks, I had the horchata and the Vampire Juice made with carrot, orange and beets. Both paired really well with the food. Leonor's is currently asking the community for support, so this is a great time to pull up, bring a friend and discover a longtime local spot.

I came here a few days before the moved to the new location so the new environment may be different but when I went the vibes were bizarre in the best way. They had posters and pinatas everywhere and all the tables were brightly themed- I went for the lisa frank table but I also saw like comic book and movie themed tables too. The guy working there was so nice and made sure he brought me some dipping sauce for my meal too, he gave me a couple of options and I went for the ranch which was amazing. I haven't been here too many times, but every visit has been a positive experience in terms of flavor and freshness. There isn't a ton more I can say beyond that, but it's been reliably enjoyable whenever I've stopped in. Unfortunately, innovation is still lacking in the vegan fried chicken department. The pros: - The breading was impressive: it had a really satisfying crunch and there was actually enough of it and a good breading to "chicken" ratio. Nobody likes a sad naked nugget when you were promised a juicy breaded tender. - The fries were very solid, and the chick sauce was addictive and kind of indescribable in flavor. The cons: - The biggest problem that plagues all vegan fried chicken: the base that they use for the "chicken" is bland and tasteless, with a borderline unpleasant texture. It's all about the breading anyways, so why can't we just put that breading over a mushroom or a cauliflower?! I hate the weird artificial spongy texture they come up with instead. - Like everything I've ever gotten from Doomie's, the food feels too salty and too heavy before I'm even halfway through my meal. The neutral: - I wasn't sure how I felt about my Nashville hot seasoning, but since I don't have much to compare it to, maybe that's just the style? I did like how some of the flavor got soaked up by the piece of bread though. The search for the perfect vegan fried chicken continues! My favorite vegan fried chicken to date is from a brand called Atlas Monroe that they used to have at Uncool Burgers (RIP). I also enjoyed the fake McChicken at Mr. Charlie's, but a McChicken isn't a fried chicken sandwich, y'know?

Some years back, I studied the philosophy of Dr. Bach who gave us Bach flower remedies. His theory was that food should be esthetically pleasing, and that we would know what we should be eating by food meant for us being beautiful. Plant foods are beautiful, as Taste of Beauty demonstrates. There is nothing beautiful about the flesh of an animal on our plates, which is one reason among others that I am a lifelong vegetarian and most of the time, vegan. This is a thoughtfully designed spot. It is easy to find and park (garage in the rear for $2.00!) and the dining area itself is divided into the main room and some alcoves. In pleasant weather, you can eat on the covered patio. The place is clean, subdued, lovely, and calming. Our server was very polite and patient, explaining each element of the meal to us carefully. The descriptions of what we had, the 8-course Vegetarian menu, is on one of my photos of the menu. The dishes were delicately presented in order. Notice the exquisite artistry and the attention to tiny details in each dish. There were color, flavor, scent, and design considerations with balance being another governing factor of how everything was chosen and arranged. The selections are curated in just as thoughtful a manner as any museum. Everything we had was delicious. We do not eat large quantities at any one sitting, so this menu was perfect for lunch for two of us. One of the courses emitted a lovely smoke. Another gleamed with a gold accent, one other had fragrant sprigs of rosemary that I kept picking up to smell. All these facets made the food appetizing. See my pictures for a better idea. Do be aware that you are asked to choose at least one tasting menu (there are three), and can then order a la carte from there. I am not certain whether this was Tibetan, Nepali, Chinese cuisine predominantly but it was also reminiscent of Japanese cooking. A unique experience that was rewarding for all the senses. Dr. Bach believed beautiful food healed the mind and therefore the body. We can all use some of both these days. Please try it and I assure you, it will be memorable.

We tried one vegan course and one vegetarian, and it'll be too long to list each course here, but here are a few of our faves to give you an idea: The Island - A gentle shore of golden pumpkin and celery, where rice paper sails drift beside the earthy whisper of golden ear mushroom. The Jade - A calm green field of quinoa, tofu, and avocado, layered with cucumber, lettuce, cherry tomato, and nori sesame crumble, dressed with mirin, mustard, sesame, and a gentle touch of chili. Mountains and Rivers - Morel mushrooms with silken tofu, tender mushroom, and creamy mashed potato, dusted with barley leaf powder. The Forest - Oyster mushrooms seared over charcoal with rosemary shoyu butter, rich and aromatic. They also have some amazing cocktails! MOUNTAIN GLACIER - Cool berries and bright citrus tumble into silver tequila, smoothed by a breath of coconut. GOLDEN JASMINE - Jasmine drifts through soft whisky notes in fragrant, gentle layers-light as pale sunlight brushing the ridge of a quiet morning. For dessert we tried some of their vegan caramel ice cream, which was so rich and creamy. Our server was so helpful and took the time to explain each of the courses.

Even when I was trying to pay for the rice pudding, i mentioned it was chicken masala and they acted very confused like the needed to make me one and have me pay for it.
