Not happy with the service. Got a pedicure and paid extra for an upgraded spa experience only to have them RUSH through it and be done within 15 minutes. The prices are high and I'm happy to pay them but when you're not getting what you paid for then that isn't fair. I spoke with one of the ladies, who I believe is a manager, but she was dismissive and said my nails looked fine. I told her that yes my nails looked fine but that wasn't my complaint. The point was when you're paying for specific service then that service should be done. While having my pedicure done I mentioned a few times to the nail technician working on me that she was going way too fast. She skipped so many steps and didn't even clean under my nails. She did the callous remover and sea salt scrub together and was done in under a minute with both. The scrub was supposed to be with a 10 minute massage. I didn't make a scene and was very calm and reasonable in what I had to say but I didn't feel they cared for my business. I wasn't looking to get any type of discount either. No one said a word to me when they charged the outrages amount for the little work they did. I felt like they treated me as if I was being unreasonable when all I wanted was to get what I paid for. I didn't get a "bye, thank you for coming" afterwards. Just pure silence and backs turned to me. I won't be going back there mainly because of how they treated the situation. Had they just even apologized for the rushed work and been more kind it would've made the biggest difference. Overall, I'm very unhappy. read more

I loved this shop it is such a cute establishment, from the moment you walk through the door it is nothing but smiles and very welcoming. While my fiancé and i waited AJ offered us something to drink. In the waiting area there was a type of steamer that created a beautiful spa like feel to the place. The nail salon smelled and looked very clean. They did seem very busy but they are very hard workers. I had my nail done by AJ i loved my nail set. I highly recommend to schedule an appointment. Update to my initial review from last year: Context: Things at Vera nail spa came downhill after I came in three weeks ago to ask my typical nail technician, Sara to fix my manicure after it began to chip a week and a half in. TW: I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Vera nail spa today and appalled to even have to write this review. I have been a loyal customer at Vera for 10 months. My intial review on 2/5/2020 was glowing, as I thought I had found my nail place and my nail technician, Sara. However, today I received distasteful customer service, after having brought in a new client as well, to make matters worse. 1. I called in before arriving to ask how much a full set for my niece would cost. I was given ambiguous prices, although upon review of their price menu, it clearly states that it is $35 for a full set + gel. When we arrived, I continued asking what the price would be so that we knew exactly how much we needed to pay. They said $42 and then when they asked if we wanted gel, we asked for the price and they said $45. We asked what the price would be WITHOUT gel and they said it would cost the same, although the longevity of nails is NOT the same. I have reason to believe that we were ripped off. 2. I chose a CLEARLY dark purple (almost black) shade from a book I was given for my DIP POWDER manicure. My nail technician, Sara, looked peeved the entire time I was trying to choose a color and when I did choose, she went to grab the color, not at all caring to inform me that the end result would look different because I was looking at a GEL color book. 3. When I DID realize that the color was off at the end of the manicure, I stopped to ask why it looked so different and showed them the book as proof. My nail technician, Sara was annoyed that I even asked, and then Sara, her co-worker who was working on my niece (roughly as my niece would later describe), and the manager began to snicker and laugh. I had to stand my ground until the manager went to grab a nail color that matched mine. He kept saying that the color was different in dip and would have to apply the gel color over my dip powder color. The rest of the time the two nail techs and the manager snickered. Vera Nail Spa - the least you can offer your clients is a DISCLAIMER that the colors in the book do not reflect the color you will get. 4. The rest of the time spent in the salon was absolutely disrespectful. The nail technicians were speaking in another language which I never ever mind because diversity is beautiful but it was very clear that they were talking about us, as they laughed and treated our hands roughly while discussing and snickering. I do not tolerate that level of disrespect from anyone and it is not what I expect from a business. This was my final time at Vera Nail Spa and I will personally stop recommending this place to anyone I know. I am shocked that things ended this way. It is clear that the workers at Vera Nail Spa will treat their customers according to their mood. I have been kind and loyal to this business in spite of price hikes. Do not be fooled, if they were able to treat one or two customers in this manner, you could be the next person that is ripped off and/or treated unfairly. I am disappointed in you Vera Nails, and I hope you are able to change your practices for everyone else's sake. read more

Vera Nail Spa is one of the best Nail Salons in the Area. After moving to LA from Seattle it was very difficult to find a new Nail Salon. After going in for my first time for a full set and pedicure I couldn't get enough. Their place is extremely clean and sanitary. Anh is awesome! Very attentive and really takes her time to make sure my cuticles are cleaned and my nails are shaped beautifully. I've had her do the dip manicure twice and it lasts for 4 weeks! It's my nails that grow out too much by then that I have to redo them. I've had other technicians rush through the job and gave me nails that were way too thick with the dip or it was not smooth. When this place first opened up I thought it was amazing. The color selection of OPI, the cleanliness and the ambience were really good. It is still pretty good now, but the problem is the service. I called 5 hours prior to walking in to make an appointment and was told I'm good for coming in. I walk in at my appointment time - turns out nothing was written down. Before we get seated, none of the techs know who's doing who and what they're doing so there was barely any communication and it seemed as if they unorganized. Horrible customer service. The tech was going to take the gel off my nails. So she pours acetone in a bowl and tells me to soak my nails. After a few minutes I take them out and I tell her that my hands hurt and I ask howcome she didn't wrap them with foil like other techs do. She rolls her eyes and talks to another tech in Vietnamese. I'm in love with Sara's craft at Vera Nail Spa. For context, I've been doing my nails since I was sixteen. I've paid for regular, gel and dip powder. I do it often and I drive around trying different nails spa looking for that 'oomph' factor that makes me want to return. I visited Vera Nail Spa once before but I was not very impressed with the service. I decided to give it another try, specifically for the dip powder experience and I'm glad I did. Sara was my nail technician and she was amazing. She helped me pick the color I wanted and she listened to my request for how I wanted my nails shaped. I asked for very square and she followed it to a T. Seeing that a few of my nails were broken on the edges, she suggested I get a tip in order to get the perfect square shape and she would design it to look as natural as I wanted . I agreed and she got down to business. She was very precise and worked diligently to get my nails looking fabulous. She took her time (I was in the salon for roughly 1 hour and 10 mins) and the end result was beautiful. In addition, she was kind and welcoming. I'm very pleased with the outcome but even more pleased with her professionalism. The salon itself is beautiful. The aesthetic is definitely on point and there's ample parking in the back lot. When I got there they said she only did acrylics and try to switch me to someone else. She has been doing pedi/gel mani al this time but I guess they don't want her do do acrylics, which is fine but don't make the appointment and lure you in to switch you.
