Chilled Yellowtail Sashimi
Trisha S.

This is a newer trendy restaurant that specializes in seasonal menu items and is tucked behind a small art gallery. It is located on the first floor, so don't make the mistake of going directly upstairs when you first enter. We enjoyed many items off of the winter menu. We started with the Little Gem Salad which was very good. The crisp apples were a nice touch. The Oysters came with 3 phenomenal sauces & vinaigrettes. I enjoyed them so much, that I kept the sauces for my other plates! The yellowtail sashimi was very buttery and melted in my mouth. Great quality. For entrees, my dad enjoyed the other salad on the menu which was the Kale, Grain, & Pomegranate Salad. My mom chose the roasted chicken, which was a huge portion and came with potatoes. We ordered a side of potatoes, but realized there was more than enough provided on her entree. My brother chose the Ahi Tuna Steak. We loved the miso sauce it came with and it had a slight vinegary taste to it. I ended with the Catalan Style Sautéed Prawns, which were delicious and had a nice kick. For dessert, we shared the Espresso Mousse Cups and an Affogato. My dad did not want to share, so he got a single scoop of pistachio gelato. Everything was AMAZING! The service was super friendly. The server was able to make great recommendations and tell us in depth about each item we had questions about. We went for lunch, so it wasn't very busy at all. Afterwards, we enjoyed walking around the art gallery. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are into good quality food and don't mind paying for the experience.

Love the concept of having a restaurant inside of an art gallery truly amazing idea. The food was great very fresh and our server was top-notch. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor of this restaurant. Highly recommend checking out this local gem.

Vera offers a complimentary museum with an indoor and outdoor dining experience with fresh ingredients to table. Food / Drinks Burrata with fig and oranges - $17 The dish is served with balsamic pearls, honey-balsamic vinaigrette, pecans, and basil oil. It was very light, refreshing, and paired well with the toasted bread points. Maine Lobster Roll - $38 The butter toasted top-cut bun served with chilled lobster-salad, lemon, tidewater coleslaw and old bay seasoned potato chips was a shareable-sized plate. The lobster roll was cut in half. The coleslaw did not look appetizing and was a bit dry with minimal dressing - I didn't eat it at all. The chips had a nice kick to it from the light seasoning and wasn't oily. Toasted Bread Points - $8 Lightly toasted sourdough bread slices that was baked to perfection and had a nice chewy texture. Salmon Tartar - $24 The diced ora king salmon was plentiful, served with mandarin, pickled shallot, cucumber, and sweet chili-passion fruit sauce. The dish was a bit too sweet for my liking. Summertime One - $16 The drink was substituted with tequila instead of the chopin vodka. It was accompanied with peach nectar, elderflower, lime, fresh basil, and club soda. Although I didn't try this drink, my friend shared that the tequila was very prominent. Summertime Two - $16 The sereno pepper infused Lalo tequila, fresh watermelon juice, agave, tajin, lime, and black lava salt rim. This drink was sweet, spicy, and super refreshing. Customer Service Mike was the server during my dining experience. He was very attentive, friendly, and provided exceptional customer service. He is passionate about hospitality and went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met. Ambiance Warm, modernized wood paneling with matte black and white accents. Natural and white lighting through the restaurant and museum. Location/Parking There's street parking and a couple of parking lots behind the venue.

Such a beautiful spot in Morgan Hill! Vera is a little bit off the main downtown strip, which I actually love because parking's easier and it's not as hectic. The space itself is gorgeous! modern, stylish, and super inviting. Upstairs there's even an art gallery with some really cool pieces, which makes it feel extra special. The food was amazing! Every dish I ordered was so good. My favorite was the sardine in tomato sauce served with breadsticks, so flavorful and unique. The cocktail menu also looks really interesting, so I'll definitely be back to try more. Our server, Michael, was wonderful, very attentive, professional, yet friendly. He made the whole experience even better. Overall, just a great atmosphere, delicious food, and beautiful space. Can't wait to go back!

Wow, the food is excellent, with service to match! I came here with my two young daughters, ages 6 and 8, and we had a great time. Every single dish we ordered was cooked to perfection, and they make excellent cocktails too! We ordered a ton of food, and even the leftovers were delicious!!!!!

Awesome place for a girls night or date night. I love the ambiance of the restaurant. We especially enjoyed all the delicious cocktails and mocktails. The roasted chicken was really dry but the flavor was good. We also had the salmon kabobs, once again it was flavorful but some parts of the salmon was really dry. The chopped kale salad and the burrata was our favorite. In terms of the service the bartender was on point. However our server seems to be a little inexperience. There was not much flow from the appetizer to the entrees. Although water was filled quickly, I sat with an empty cocktail for a while. The dessert menu did not have a lot of intriguing items. I'm hoping they add more variety.

2 oysters w 3 types of sauces

Came here for a Tuesday night dinner with my bf. I'm obsessed with the beautiful building, such a nice upgrade to the DT!! And there is a small art gallery inside, such a cool vibe! For apps we got 2 oysters, which came with 3 types of sauces! To share, we got the Little Gem "Stacked" Salad, it was nice and lite. For dinner, my bf got the seared ahi (I didn't try it, but he said it was good) and I got the lobster roll, this was excellent! It comes with a side of chips and a yummy Cole slaw like salad! I would definitely get this dish again, and it was filling! We didn't stay for dessert, since the place was FREEZING! I asked them to turn down the AC, but I don't think they did. Next time I'm definitely not wearing a tank top and I'll be bringing my jacket with me!! Service was good and staff were friendly! So we will be back again soon!

Little Gem Salad

First experience eating here and it was delicious. Started with sharing the burrata and toast points, moved on to a wonderful Little Gem Salad, and finished with a crab roll. A very delicious and satisfying lunch. Also, the staff were very friendly and the facility unique and stunning. Don't miss out on this opportunity.

Burrata must try with extra bread/toast

It was wonderful--yummy mocktails/cocktails, friendly service, and delicious and beautifully presented food and ambiance for lunch date with my other half l. :) Highly recommend the barratta with extra toast bread, the braised short ribs (if hungry), seared tuna salad, and the pear/fig salad was yum too. We'll be coming back and liked walking around the art gallery out front of the restaurant with unique pieces and creations from local-ish artists.

Absolutely stunning architecture, beautiful displays of local art, and thoughtfully crafted food. I've heard the crab salad roll is phenomenal, comparable to a top-notch lobster roll, so that's on my list for next time! The shrimp and crab cocktail was my favorite- fresh, flavorful, and with just the right kick of spice. One thing I'd love to see is the addition of an espresso and coffee bar. It would be a great option for those looking to stop in for a quick coffee and possibly a homemade pastry. That would be such a cool addition to the downtown scene.

Burrata with the lavender sparkling cocktail and the bourbon fusion drink.

Yet another amazing visit to Vera. From Courtney's awesome cocktails, to Mike's next level service. I just love this place!! I love all the food too. They even figured out how to level up a potato chip!! Keep up the great work. I just love your restaurant.

Michael was our server. He was amazing letting take our time, relaxing and enjoying our "girl" time catching up. He was SPOT ON with svc, drinks and food were perfectly executed! Will be back again and again!

We ordered bib salad with cherry blossom dressing, burrata , peach and figs, crostinis, yellowtail sashimi and lobster roll. We really enjoyed the appetizers and sashimi. The lobster roll had a little bit of a fishy smell which I did not like but I have a pretty sensitive olfactory. I always order lobster roll of its on the menu because I love it so much. But it's often more miss than hits. We had an amazing waiter. He was very friendly and attentive. Great suggestions as well.

Found this gem by accident on karaoke night of all nights. CNS Karaoke (find them on Facebook and…read moreInstagram) instantly won me over. I didn't get a chance to eat, but the curry aroma alone told me it's the real deal. The staff (Kayleigh , Lisset, Lindsey and Brandon) make you feel like family, and even though it was packed, it never felt crowded -- never waited for a drink. We'll definitely be back, especially since we're renovating a hotel nearby. Don't pass up the chance to stop in.

He didn't say a word, so we asked for a table and all he said was, "Sit anywhere." Once we sat down, my boyfriend asked what beers they had on tap, and the guy just waved his hand toward the bar and said, "You can read them over there." Mind you, we weren't sitting anywhere near the bar, so my boyfriend had to get up just to see the list. Then he ordered one of the beers on tap. "We're out of that." So he picked another one. "We're out of that too." So... you get annoyed when we ask what beers you have, but then when we order the ones on your tap list, you're out of them? So what tf do you have? Honestly, if the server had just been polite, none of this would've been a big deal. But the entire interaction felt like we were inconveniencing him by simply walking through the door. like God forbid you have to serve customers at your job? After that, we just closed out our bill with our two drinks because we had zero interest in eating somewhere that made us feel that unwelcome. And to top it all off, my lemon drop martini SUCKED. save yourself the headache and just go to chilis.

We grabbed a white wine flight that was extremely well curated, every pour was refreshing and easy to enjoy. The flatbread was surprisingly really good too and paired perfectly with the wine. The back patio completely makes the experience though. Beautiful weather, live music setup, relaxed crowd, and just an overall easygoing Los Gatos afternoon vibe. The guava mimosas were also a standout. Light, fruity, refreshing, and perfect for patio sipping.

We started with Sangria (both red and white) and tho I like the white a bit more, both are really good. We also had the "a little bit of both" share charcuterie, and that was much more than expected! Not fancy, but 2 cheeses, 2 meats, assorted nuts, olives (have pits be safe!) and grapes with a few slices of a nice crusty bread and these really good large cracker type bread that was just perfect to have with our sangrias. We sat outside while a great local band played, the heaters were perfectly warm, nice string lights, and a good atmosphere. We also ordered a coffee and a beer later on, but I forget what kind of beer. Was good, I just don't recall the beer or ale. Staff was pretty attentive most of the time. The reason for not 5 stars: while I was in the industry for almost 50 years, our server seemed to get bored with us at some point and we had to flag her down. It was busy so I understand but the attitude changed a bit. Also, we wanted an item on the menu from The website and it wasn't available as the website wasn't updated. Minor issue, but the server seemed annoyed. Next time I keep the menus so that doesn't happen again. Still, totally worth the visit and since I live in the area now I would love to become a regular! Next time I want to try the flatbread

The ambience is pretty nice, they have nice animal pictures throughout the restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating, a full walk up or sit down bar, and TV's. 3 stars. #3. The service was fantastic, glasses constantly being refilled, asked us if we wanted more bread and butter and our server made some great recommendations "5 Stars" The Food: #1. They gave us 2 nice warm bread rolls with a room temperature salted butter cube. The bread at first tasted salty but then my palate caught up and oh snap! this bread was good!! 5 Stars! #2. The server recommended the beef Wellington. "I ordered it med rare, it came to me med rare" it comes with mashed potatoes and longstem broccoli with cherry tomatoes, and a wine/vinegar reduction for the Wellington. The broccoli had a nice crispness to it and were seasoned perfectly, the cherry tomatoes added some brightness. The mashed potatoes were silky smooth and paired perfectly with the Wellington. NOW THE BEEF WELLINGTON: OH MY .....GOSH!!! My eyes rolled back into my head, it was so good!! The beef was as soft as butter, I could have used a butter knife to cut it (not kidding) and it melted in my mouth. The seasoning with the dough and the spinach with the mushrooms inside nearly caused a wet dream (if you get my point) "and don't even get me started on their reduction sauce for the Wellington!" The waiter walked up to me and smiled and said "and I quote"... gives you goosebumps, right? Oh he knew, HE KNEW!! 5++++ Stars! #3. Wifey ordered the Grilled Salmon salad. She ate the Salmon so fast that I barely had a chance to taste it. She said she really liked it, now I did get a chance to taste the salad and I must say that it was so good that it could have been a stand alone dish. Again 5 Stars. #4. And for dessert we had tiramisu. It came plated beautifully with a raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, whipped cream, and a beautiful orchid flower. The flavor while not the best I've had was still pretty darn good 4 Stars. Overall food and dining experience at the restaurant easily hits 5 stars! Total bill for said food - tip $124 pricewise I felt it was well worth it. Oh I will be back!
