For a Meso American restaurant in Midlothian, this is a nice find. Service was good and attentive. The Huasteca chicken enchiladas were very good. Menu was a little blurry, and under low lights, a bit hard to read. If we're in the area around dinner, we will go back. read more

The food was good and the service stared out great. We ordered the queso compuesto and let me tell you the bowl is huge. Way too much for two people. It was spicy but flavorful with lots of cilantro. For my meal I ordered the Pipian chicken. I love this dish for its unique mole. The service throughout the meal was great but then everyone disappeared and we waited forever for someone to come out so we could flag them down to bring our check. If it wasn't for that issue I would have given them five stars. read more

This place is on point every single time. The wait can be a bit much but it's definitely worth the wait. When you first walk in and get seated, you are provided with amazing chips and salsa. We typically get the queso compuesto as an appetizer. My favorite meal is the chicken Tony's Mayan Milanesa. The meal comes with a salad but I like the potatoes too much so I substitute the salad for extra potatoes. I haven't tried them yet but I was told that the margaritas are strong and will give you a buzz in no time. This is a relatively pricy venue but it is definitely a place to try and I will go back time and time again. read more

Yes!! Best restaurant in Midlothian already! I'm so excited to have a local Veracruz. I've been going to the other locations on pretty much a weekly basis. This new location was just as awesome, if not better than the others. I love the warm, earthy decor - it's so gorgeous inside. The food was super tasty and the service was fantastic, even though it was their first week open. Nathan, was so friendly and welcoming everyone to his new restaurant. We also ordered the Veratex combo, and the taco was good, but the enchiladas were tiny (kid portion) rolled tortillas with meat that wasn't tasty and cheese that tasted like velveeta. Don't know how this place gets it's excellent ratings!! Chips tasted burnt, not much flavor to the hot sauce. I had the blue tortilla fajita enchiladas and they were tasteless!!! No flavor at all. I'll start with the good news, the server was really kind. We ordered the whitefish stuffed with crab and shrimp and it was served to us RAW! So dangerous. Against my better judgment we went ahead and tried something else the enchiladas and chimichanga. The chimichanga was loaded with filler more than beef and the enchiladas were extremely ordinary. Do NOT order a margarita from here if you expect there to be tequila in it! They're premixed and extremely weak. I've been in the food service, bar, grocery and overall retail my entire life. I would highly recommend not trying your luck here. Extremely disappointed. Thought it would be a good place to try but I was so wrong. read more

While we really enjoyed our food on our first visit on May 1st, we were double charged for our meal on our credit card! I've tried to right this wrong 4x now with no response from any manager at the restaurant! I'm told each time I call that it will be fixed by a manager and he will call me. My husband and I were seated. They served us chips and salsa. Nobody ever came back to ask what drinks we wanted or give us a menu. Waiters were all around us, and we tried to get their attention several times. We waited at least 20 mins with others seated all around us and being waited on. We always do take out and half the time we call they do not answer the phone or when I do get someone, they put you on hold for at least 10 minutes to place an order.
