Got fabulous service from this location tonight. My boyfriend needed a new phone on short notice. He bought it online and we were able to pick it up within an hour at this location. Verizon Wireless is hands down the best cell service available. The network is amazing and the other services DO NOT come close. I've had them all and although Verizon is a little more costly, it is well worth every penny. Most of the customer service can be taken care of over the phone, so if you do need to go to the retail store make sure you expect to be there for a little while. They can get very busy and sometimes they need to spend lengthy periods with each customer. My most recent customer service experiences have been great! I ordered my upgrades over the phone and activated them myself at home. I did need to go to the store to have phones switched to different lines, and they were wonderful at the store and I was taken care of in no time! read more

I dislike the fact that Beto lied to me about my monthly payment. I was on the loyalty plan paying $60 a month. At times I would go over my data and would pay $70. He convinced me and told me he can get me on a $74 plan including taxes. I get my bill notice and it reflects $113. I call customer service for clarification on my bill because all this time I was under the impression I would be paying $74 a month. NO! He lied. The sales associate over the phone was sweet and told me "sorry ma'am but we can't do anything at this point". He then recommends I go back to the store and ask to speak with Beto. I asked the sales associate "for what so he can deny everything". Keep in mind my coworker was my witness she was there when I upgraded. She was even thinking of crossing over with Verizon because of the prices. I strongly dislike people who lie. Just be honest with customers. read more

This store has miss represented the mobile phone service. Their representative will try to sell you service you don't need. I was informed that my month fees would not increase. This was false....my bill did increase because the manager of this store did not apply the special promotions. The store miss informed me just to sign me to contract for two years and took advantage of this senior citizen. Avoid this store. read more

I've had Verizon services since they came online and visited many of their stores from San Diego California to Whitefish Montana and have had great experiences more often than not. In coastal North County San Diego I typically prefer the Verizon location of Marron Road in Carlsbad and always have good assistance there. I have 10 lines I pay for for my family and Real Estate business and yesterday I had multiple needs for several of my phones. I was promptly introduced to Chase Bentley upon arriving and gotta say-Chase has been The Best Verizon Rep I've ever had the opportunity to work with. I was in their store for 5+ hours which would have been miserable if it wasn't so productive but it was extremely productive in multiple ways and I enjoyed our conversations while getting everything I needed done. Chase knows his stuff inside and out and helped me clean up my account which will save me thousands of $ the first year alone so I'm stoked and thankful and highly recommend asking for Chase when visiting this location! That said, there are several great reps there if he's not available but Chase deserves a big shout out for his help and patience yesterday-Thanks Chase! read more

Tried to get me into a new service contract when it wasn't necessary also couldn't activate new phone because "computers" were down. Had to call customer service and they directed me to a verizon store closer to the I-15 freeway which got me in and out. Had to let everyone know of the OUTSTANDING customer service I received at this location. Although there were major complications to our bill, not on anyone's part there, this issue was resolved today after two months. The employee that worked so hard to keep us a customer and make things right was Glenda. Glenda never stopped texting me and working on our account, she even answered my calls on her days off from work. If it hadn't been for her impeccable customer service and her genuine care to make it right, I would have throw the phones at the window. I spent 2-1/2 hours in this store ordering a phone on an upgrade. The phone was stolen from FedEx, en route to the store, but the customer dis-service representatives at this Verizon location told me I would have to do the research, then let them confirm to get a replacement to the upgraded phone. After this was done, I went into the store for another hour, where I was told the Verizon corporate offices would have to verify the status of the shipped device a second time, after which they would contact me via email to coordinate a replacement device. Instead of following through, they simply processed a refund, leaving me with a couple of hundred dollars worth of accessories I cannot use. When I took off early from work and went back to the store over an hour and a half before they closed to ask about the status, I was told I would have to schedule an appointment for a week and a half to two weeks later in order to even speak with someone about the matter. When I asked if this was really how they treated customers who had been with the company for over fifteen years, or if they would prefer we see how long the wait was to speak with customer service representatives with their competitors, I was told I was more than welcome to go talk to AT&T, as Verizon has more business than they can handle, due to covid. This store is awful - if I could give zero stars, I would!!! read more

Worst Verizon store....EVER! I've always been a fan of the Verizon customer service, but you won't get that at this store. If I could give zero stars, I would. I called Verizon Customer Service on February 2nd and they were able to straighten out some, but not all, the errors made in the store. I was told to expect a call from the store manager. It's almost 4 weeks and I never heard a peep. The only reason I'm remaining a Verizon customer (of 20 years!) is because of the associates (Peter and Gene) that I spoke to on the phone. They don't work in the store and nobody ever answers if you try to call the store. There are many locations for Verizon retail stores, so drive a few extra miles and get the service you deserve. read more

I was so disappointed with the service today. I went in trying to see about upgrading my iPhone from a 7 to a newer model. When we first got there we checked in with a really nice guy (I can't remember his name) and waited for about 15 minutes or so. Then a guy named Ahmad came out to "help" us. I had a lot of questions because I wasn't sure what phone I really wanted they just have so many new iPhones now. Right from the moment I started talking to him about my concerns and my questions he seemed annoyed and burdened by me. He also kept checking his phone very often and I swear I caught him rolling his eyes a few times. It seemed like he wasn't even listening to me and just wanted to get me out as soon as possible. His whole vibe got me so frustrated that I ended up leaving the store empty handed. I've worked in retail/ customer service for years and I could not believe how Ahmad treated me. Really bad experience. I wish I would have complained to a manager or even asked for another person to help us because the rest of the workers actually seemed nice and like they would be helpful. read more

I came in to help a friend return his recently purchased IPhone. The service was swift and efficient. I was so impressed I asked the guy helping us what it would take for me to switch my iPhone from Sprint ( horrible) to Verizon. Within about 20 minutes- I had a brand new iPhone, brand new case, protective covers(3), a stylus pen, a car charger and a nifty stand alone charger. I did not spend a dime - in fact I still had a $55 credit towards my first bill. THIS is why I love Verizon and will never leave them again. Thanks Chris Martin for the stellar service. Worst costumers service ever! After waiting a long time for my turn, I asked Juan if they had a bathroom and his response was, " go to Marshall's, we're not a restaurant. " I had purchase a battery pack that cost me over $100.00 and it stopped charging and it was still under warranty, they would not replace it for the same kind, offered me something a lot cheaper and less power. This is a review of the store on Marron road and not Verizon overall. The sales experience here is akin to dealing with a slimy used car salesman - up to and including the "I'll talk to my manager and see what I can do" trick. My wife and I were purchasing two phones - an upgrade for me, and transferring her from another carrier to Verizon. Between the two phones, the activation fees, sales tax on full purchase price and whatever other fees they add on, we were looking at around $400 in purchases. Then it comes time for the salesman to try to sell an accessory package and this is when things get really bad. Verizon accessories are so way overpriced in the stores I would never consider purchasing them - but they just won't take no for an answer. They even told us that if we didn't buy cases and screen protectors from them our account would be coded so that the warranty on our phones was invalid. When we still said no, the salesman had his "manager" come over to explain it to us again. Again we said no, again we were told how delicate our phones with were and our warranty would be void without purchasing screen protectors from them. Even after we said no again, he then moved on to a high pressure car chargers sales pitch - and told me if I used a charger that wasn't sold by Verizon it would overheat the phone and void the warranty. At this point we gave up and walked out disgusted - and went to a different store without purchased anything. Because they were so high pressure wanting to push that $400 sales to $500 - then ended up with no sale at all. In the end we went to another store. We let the salesperson know up front what happened at the other store and that we had walked out. When we told her the story, she asked if it was the store on Marron road. Apparently this is a common problem. We did end up getting the phones from the second store. And yes, she did offer to sell us accessories, but after we politely declined - she moved right along with the rest of the process without high pressure tactics. read more

Went to this store on a Sunday afternoon to turn in my daughters broken phone. There were 12 other customers in front of us. We had to wait almost 2 hours to get served. I asked the the store manager (Christie) what is going on. She told me about a computer problem they had in the morning. Looking at the reviews on Yelp it becomes obvious that today was more the norm than the exception. I mentioned to her that they are simply understaffed. I asked how i can file a complaint. I had to go in to replace the second phone my son lost in a year. Since I was out of upgrades, replacing my iPhone would have been ridiculously expensive. Philip helped us out and was completely honest and saved me money. Evidently, he sees a lot of high school kids come in looking to replace lost or stolen phones. Since they know the parents will save the day, they aren't as careful with them as people who pay their own bills. Good to know. The supposed manager sits at the front door greeting people and completely lied about being able to return a phone. They gave us the run around on three different occasions. I have been a long time Verizon customer and have been pleased with the service. While taking the winter off from Wyoming, I am staying in sunny Carlsbad, California. I bought a new Apple computer and have been trying to coordinate my phone and all of that. I got very confused about a problem I had with photos and Facebook and really I was stuck. Verizon personnel have always been helpful, but honestly, Isiah from the Carlsbad Verizon store, was so incredible. He went beyond helpful to teaching me and saving me from pulling my hair out! Had an excellent experience putting together a family plan with our sales specialist David in Carlsbad. This was a really nice change since I'm so use to getting mediocre service when it comes to service providers. David was extremely knowledgable, answered questions quickly, and was able to break down the family plan in full detail without any confusion. If you are looking for a new service provider I highly recommend going in to the Carlsbad Verizon Wireless location and specifically asking for David. However I do see quite a few negative reviews on here about how the sales team is outstanding but the customer service is a bit rough to deal with, hopefully I will not be coming back to edit this post negatively. I guarantee, personally coming from Sprint, you will not be disappointed with the service that Verizon provides. It's just fact that they provide the best service, e.g. in the carlsbad and surrounding areas there are 70 towers for Verizon compared to four that AT&T provides. read more

Had a cracked screen protector. I was greeted promptly, had a little wait about 7 minutes and was then assisted by Chris. He rocked! Told me my options, replaced the protective tempered glass screen. He didn't like how it looked so he got another one and meticulously installed it. Charged it to my account and surprised me with my 25% off education discount. I strongly recommend Chris and the protector that has the unlimited replacement warranty through Zag. read more

I had to come in and do a simple exchange, which our sales guy Gary said we could, but Yesenia is making it difficult. Gary told us to bring in product once we get it delivered, and we will do an exchange for it. Didn't happen. I have been a Verizon customer since 2000. I have always had excellent customer service over the phone and in the stores. This store in Carlsbad is hands down my favorite. I don't not shudder when I need to physically go in to this location. Ever. My phone was stolen on Monday, by Tuesday at noon, I had a new phone (and a new iPad ) with a stellar new plan! Chris Martin, the Solutions Manager, was absolutely a breeze to work with. He is knowledgable, articulate, great sense of humor, a wiz with the apple products, and compassionate to my situation. It is no wonder that he is the solutions manager, he managed a fabulous solution for me!! The store is clean and efficient. I don't get all the 1 star reviews. It's a cell phone store, people! They aren't going to feed you caviar off a silver spoon. The staff was nice enough, the wait was less than 3 minutes. My only complaint was Andrew, the sales person, saying the iPhone 4 I was hoping to trade in was worthless. I had been told by several other companies it is worth at least $100. Today I had the pleasure of receiving impeccable service from David Vorenkamp. My elderly mom who is , to say the least, technically challenged, was interested in upgrading her iPhone. Lucky for us David was there to help. David was so extremely patient, and respectively kind in asking questions without sounding condescending. My husband and I just went to the store with all intentions to purchase a phone. Actually we intended to purchase two phone up because of the immaturity and arrogance of the sales associate we decided to take our business elsewhere. We have both been in the consumer electronics business for over 15 years and people like this guy are why everyone has a bad rap in sales. He didn't listen to anything we were saying was answering questions quickly like he knew all the answers when clearly he did not and after requesting a manager to to come out and speak with us we were shocked at 1) How sloppy the manager presented herself and 2) she wanted to hear nothing about this guys bad experience with us. He was frustrated when we questioned promotions and couldn't compose himself and honestly lost Verizon business. Sad sad day for Verizon. read more
