The Clackamas Verizon Store is lousy. I have visited it 7 times, trying to get an upgrade, and they kept denying me each time, because I refused to change my 55+ plan. They wanted me to go with a $5000 more per month plan. I then finally got an upgrade through the Executive Office, and when I picked up the cell phone from the Clackamas Store, the agent was rude and arrogant to me, and even told me that I was stupid for not getting insurance on my phone, when Verizon's insurance is a joke, because the insurance does not give you anew phone, it is a used refurbish piece of crap phone that they replace it with should your phone get broken. This Verizon's way of getting more money out of the customer. Verizon is a nickle and dime Wireless Carrier. They used to be reputable, but now they have turned into greedy thugs. Further, when I picked up my phone, I had to wait 15 minutes to get, and the agent bypassed me and help the walk-ins who came after me, yet, making me wait to get my phone. Avoid this Store at all cost unless you have deep pocket books. Even the Samsung phones are becoming crap. read more

I had to write another review because this shady store is quite the gift that keeps on giving in a BAD way. It's now been four months and we went into the MAIN Verizon store in Clackamas to upgrade my husband's phone. While we were doing the transaction, the person helping asked me if I turned in my phone to the Victra store when I upgraded and I said "yes". He said it's not showing on my bill. Long story short, I was not given the $830 credit for turning in my phone. I had to call Verizon corporate and they looked into the matter and sure enough, this Victra store did not apply the $830 credit. They have now retroactively given me credit for four months and my bill will go down $23 per month going forward. Good grief - you guys are AWFUL. My wife's new phone wasn't working properly. We went in also to drop our trade in offs like Verizon told us to. We went to our closest store who stated we couldn't drop the phones off with them. Then were told it would be 40 dollars because we activated the phone wrong. We informed the employee that we had it activated at a different Verizon store. First off, when you walk into a store I thought it was common curtesy to greet your customers; not just let them stand there for over five minutes. I stood there so long waiting to be helped, I finally had to ask the two males at the front counter if they were willing to help me and even if they noticed my very presence. I personally had the worst customer service here. The staff had no clue what they were doing. They sold me a "new" iPhone and when he handed it to me it was complete with voicemails, random text messages, and random apps downloaded. Honestly it was extremely shady. If you do make the mistake of giving them your time or money, get everything in writing. Don't pay $100 for an upgrade because you don't have to. After reading some of the bad experiences customers have had at this store, it makes me wonder, why is Josh the manager still there? We sent our 18 year old grandson to this store to get himself a phone. We told him to get an inexpensive phone $300.00. We spoke with Josh, told him the same thing. He then sold our grandson a $1,000.00 iPhone and a tablet convincing him that it wouldn't cost anymore than an android. Unethical, con-man. Just out for a dollar. We called Verizon, they understood what happened. Told us to take both phone and tablet back and they would credit our account. We had our grandson do so. I went to Costco's phone kiosk and a T-mobile store before coming to this store. The staff was very friendly and greeted me the minute I walked in. They were able to answer all my questions but I wasn't ready to commit. I have been a Verizon customer for a decade but it was becoming too expensive to stick with them. I was planning on switching to another carrier until my car died at a Target parking lot around 4 p.m. that day. I called my friend who had AT&T and he didn't get the message until 10 pm. I called another friend who had T-mobile and he never even got the call. I didn't believe him until I checked the log on his phone that evening. And yes, there was no sign that I even called him. Luckily, my car started up again after 30 minutes. This was when I made up my mind to stick with Verizon. And no... they are not paying me to say this. So I went to Costco first to upgrade my plan. After fighting to get a parking spot, I finally made it into Costco. I waited and waited at the kiosk and after awhile I gave up and left. Talk about busy. So I went back to this store and everyone there was available to help me again. But it was Gene who sealed the deal. He was kind, patient, and very knowledgeable. I was planning a trip overseas and needed a phone with a great camera and he offered several options that would work for me, but I chose the Samsung Note 4. Other teams members were really nice too. They all chipped in to help speed up my purchase, including the manager, as I was in a hurry to head off to the beach for the weekend and wanted my new Note 4 up and running. I was able to capture the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen with my new Note 4. Each time I went to this store I was able to find a parking space either in the front or the back. I would avoid this store during the morning Starbucks rush, but after that has taken place, I have never had a problem finding a parking spot. I was also able to get all the accessories I needed for my phone such as an Otter Box and on Gene's recommendation, a LG Bluetooth headset because my friends have a difficult time hearing me due to my soft voice. That problem was finally solved with this headset and now I can drive and talk on my phone with ease. It is the best headset I have ever used and have recommended it to many friends. This team was great to me. I'm glad I stopped in. And the best part, Gene switched me to the Edge program and my bill has been reduced by almost half. With prices that are competitive with T-mobile and AT&T, but with a phone that actually works, I am a very happy customer. read more

The first day we were there, we spoke to Isaiah Moore - he was very helpful, and set up all of the paperwork. When I went back to the store to pick up my new phone and switch my account information, I met with Viet Le, the store manager. He was also very helpful. Mr. Le upgraded my cell phone cover to a better glass one, and also made sure to give me the best options for accessories. If your thinking to switch to Verizon because of all the "promotions" think twice. We came in wanting to switch from at&t to Verizon. Seajay ( the guy who was signing us up) promised us that we would get cheaper lines, ($40 per line) and $200 master cards for each line just for switching, also promising to trade our old phones in for a pretty good price.. so we were like okay why not. Let's do it. After we ended up canceling our att account, buying new phones from Verizon, and shipping our old phone to the Verizon warehouse.. they ended up not giving us the $200 master cards for the 5 lines we opened, I had to fight for our lines to be $40 each like they promised and on top of it all, they said they "lost" all of the phones we sent in!!!!!! And I had to fight for some kind of credit for the phones. It's been months now and every time I write to Seajay (the representative) he doesn't respond. Not one Verizon team member knows what they are doing in this location. Not one. They are the most unprofessional team I have ever worked with. Seajay went to get a "smoke session" right in the middle of me trying to resolve the issues we were having. He wouldn't give me the contact to his manager, and all his answers sounded like a person who's scammed like this before to many people. In other words everything they promised I had to either fight for or they just did not come through. Don't do it. Don't waist your time at least not at this location. I'm a relatively new customer to Verizon, I went in to get the iPhone 7plus 256g, as they were the only ones that carried that particular model and (jet black) style. I am absolutely blown away by how friendly, phenomenal, and personable every single one of their staff is. Upon signing up with Verizon, Amanda helped me first and gave me the best customer service I've had in years! She was working with another employee, Dallas, who was equally as incredible, friendly, and phenomenal. They both made sure I was taken care of and even stayed wayyyyy past closing to make sure all my needs as a customer were met. Fast forward to today, where I needed to add another line. Amanda helped me again and gave nothing short of the satisfactory customer service she gave me the first time around! After much debate I ended up switching over to a Motorola droid from an iPhone. Jenn, (the store manager) Dallas, and Amanda are seriously the most incredible crew I've ever had the pleasure of being helped by in a customer service setting. Later that same day (The day I got the droid) I returned a little past 8 to return it for an iPhone due to some unfortunate and unforeseen events, Dallas had helped me this time, who in my opinion, is one of the friendliest intellectuals I've ever had the pleasure of chatting with! Both he and Jenn helped me far beyond what the measure of ordinary customer service is. This team is fucking bad ass! I'd recommend Verizon (this store especially) to everyone! here's my letter to Verizon customer service Verizon Wireless Correspondence P.O. Box 291089 Columbia, SC 29229 Today one of your salespeople at the Happy Valley Sunnyside Road franchise did about a thousand dollars worth of damage to your good will with me. I have an old Alias 2 phone and it's been dropping calls. The sales rep at the Happy Valley, Oregon store told me it was because my phone was so old. I accept that. She said "You qualify for an upgrade." And showed me the tired looking flip phone you have, but said it will drop fewer calls and since I'm electrosensitive and I don't want a smart phone I asked how much it was. "It'll cost you about eighty dollars." Okay, for once I decided I wouldn't waste time shopping around. It was a Verizon store, right? And Verizon cares about their image. At the end she pulls out a little contract and suddenly it's nine dollars a month for 24 months and I said "you said it would be eighty dollars". "Oh, that's just for the start-up". I didn't know if there were even more charges, taxes, other fees she'd forgotten to mention...but I said 'just forget it.' I had to stand around a few minutes while she called a manager somewhere to undo whatever she'd done, though I hadn't signed anything yet. As I was leaving, I believe I heard her saying to her manager on the phone "And I didn't even get an apology." I turned around and said: "Are you saying I didn't apologize to you, because if anyone should get an apology, it's me from you." She said "Oh, no I wasn't saying that." Now, I was teed off about my time wasted and what I consider a bait and switch sales pitch...so I will accept that maybe she was apologizing to the sales manager. And maybe I was wrong about that. But I did not yell. And she should have apologized for her cheesy sales b.s. And when I went outside my phone didn't work, so I went back in and told her and she said: "Oh, it will take about twenty to thirty minutes for your account to come back up." Was it my intuition? I can tell you I would have bet five to one my phone account wouldn't be up two hours later (it wasn't) nor the next morning (it wasn't't). Got it reinstated....tech support told me my account info had not been entered so it never would have come back on line without my calling them. Is this the latest Verizon company wide sales policy? I'm hoping just this one salesperson at this one Verizon store. Because you can imagine how positive a picture I'm going to paint of Verizon when friends are discussing what carrier to use. If "you qualify for an upgrade" means "you get to buy this phone for a lot more than I'm initially going to lead you to believe, i.e. monthly charges you don't have now.....", then doesn't any human adult on the planet with a credit card qualify for an upgrade and a sleazy sales technique? By the way, the tech person told me I could buy the same phone from Verizon or even on ebay, and there's be no new monthly fee. So how many ways was this person (in my opinion) possibly trying to cheat me? Maybe not at all, for all I know she made a mistake on sales presentation, made a mistake on monthly fee that was not needed, made a mistake re not reinstating my phone service. Honestly I'm not sure who the other negative reviewers encountered but I have been here three times in the past two years and have had nothing but positive and helpful experiences with 3 different customer service reps. Today, Kyle helped my family and I through a complicated process of updating our super-old plan. He patiently explained each aspect of the update and walked us through the pros and cons of different decisions without "selling us" on any particular option, allowing to make the best decision for us. I know for a fact we would not have received this patient and detailed service at the location my family generally attends at the Clackamas Promenade. The reps there have spoken to me and my parents with zero respect in the past, and I refuse to go back after having three great experiences at this location. My wife and I upgraded our phones on 2/10/17 to Samsung 7. We were told by the store Manager that our bill would go up from $51 to $110/month and that they would give us 2 Samsung tablets for free as part of the promotion. Also the store was going to waive activity fees etc and we ended up paying $194 for the accessory equipment that went with the cell phones. I agreed to that and paid $194 with credit card. I just received a bill online for $321. The store has agreed to credit $140 to the next billing since they will not credit for the current bill. Even after the $140 credit there is at least $50 that we are still being charged. Also we were told that our monthly bill would be around $110. It will now be $130. It would have been $150/month if I had not contacted the main Verizon number as the Store Manager was going to charge us additional $20/month for the free tablets. I went to the store and I wanted to return the tablets but the Store Manager, Jenn Amerind said that it was 15 days ago and we would have to pay a termination fee of $350 for both phone lines and she also said she would not be able to take the tablets back as that it would be considered stealing on her part. We did get to keep the tablets for free without the monthly fees. All I expect is to pay $110/month that we were originally told and credit $210 from our $321 bill. The Store Manager was rude and I was wondering if she got additional commissions for misrepresentation. Cheryl, the customer service rep for the main Verizon number agreed with me that it was 14 days and not 15 days ago that we upgraded our service.
