This is one of the nicest Verizon stores that we've been to, and people were friendly, and the wait time wasn't as bad as most of these stores, and Barbi was more impressed by this Verizon store than many of the others we've been to. Verizon and this location are absolutely worthless, unless you want to purchase service. I have a Google Pixel 10 Pro XL that was purchased last August and have had issues many times over receiving calls and voicemail. I have spoken with tech services via a phone for hours at a time, on many occasions, yet when I take it to a Verizon store it works just fine. I was told that I could take it to a fix and repair store to be diagnosed as to whether or not the phone needs to be repaired. The repair and fix it place will send it off for replacement. I had a problem phone in the past, and never had any issues of Verizon not replacing it until now. After being a Verizon customer for 30+ years, one would think you would get better service instead of having to do Verizon's work for their staff. I've been To this location 3 times. Twice for my phone and once with my spouse for his phone. Both times my phone I have received terrible customer service and they rush you out of the store. I came in for assistance with getting my phone fixed and they told me to do it online. I came in for you to help me do it. If I wanted to do it online myself I wouldn't had come in. I've been helped by someone different every time I've been in the store. I visited this Verizon store yesterday after 4 pm to get assistance with opening a business account. Unfortunately, the customer service at this location was extremely disappointing, and I left feeling uncomfortable and judged. * Background: I had been told by a Verizon representative over the phone to visit the store because the online link I was sent was not working. * In-Store Experience: When I arrived, I explained my situation to the representative at the door. Instead of helping, he dismissed me, saying everything had to be done over the phone. This was confusing since I had been told otherwise by Verizon's online support. * Lack of Support: I asked if I could call Verizon customer service while in the store, and he reluctantly agreed. Over the phone, the representative guided me through the process and confirmed I needed to submit paperwork. The in-store representative, however, showed no interest in helping and acted as though I was lying when I explained that I had been approved for a business credit line. His facial expressions and comments were unprofessional and made me feel judged. * Outcome: Despite being approved and ready to proceed with my purchase, the lack of support and dismissive attitude from the staff made me so uncomfortable that I walked out. The online representative was professional and helpful, but the in-store team seemed more interested in chatting with a police officer at the front door than assisting customers. Final Thoughts Customer service at this location is unacceptable. I was prepared to pay out of pocket and use my new business credit line, but the staff's behavior drove me away. Respect and professionalism should be the standard, especially at a customer-driven business like Verizon. Because of this experience, I chose to go with AT&T instead. Deceived by Verizon and now they will not honor it. Bought a phone with Metro pcs and T-Mobile. I switched over with Verizon thinking I will have better customer service, and better phone service. Verizon acted like bringing my device over would be a non-issue. Immediately, after transferring to the Verizon network, my text messages began failing to send, my hot spots didn't work and my device failed. After 6 different calls with tech support, Going to the corporate store 4 times and resetting my phone to default factory mode my phone is still having all of these issues. I have zero issues with the phone, it is in perfect condition and operates flawlessly. However, Verizon solution to this is that I need to buy a new device. I literally just bought a new phone. The issue is on Verizon side, it's their network, they should be responsible for replacing my device since you told me that mine would work!! If they had been upfront about known issues with switching over I would have reconsidered making the transfer to Verizon, which I guarantee is exactly why they did not disclose this information. My Verizon bills are almost $300 a month. All they can say is sorry and to speak with customer care. And customer care just say sorry and dismiss the issues. This is time consuming emotionally draining and impacting my business and day to day life. And they are trying to charge me $1000+ to cancel because my account has been under 30 days. Now that I paid everything off in July. I logged into my account in December hoping I can find the info on the Apple Watch a bought. To my surprise Verizon have still been charging me. After being in the phone with the rep for 2hrs they could not do anything to help me even though I showed proof that I disconnected he said after you paid everything off there was still service fee therefore the amount increased because you was not aware or notified. Verizon is a scam and should be ashamed. I hope Tmobile take them out of business because they are so wrong for this. And my business is a nonprofit they even gave a hard time for tax exempt. Verizon's toll free and text chat things set me into the store, which was annoying but ok. I sat in the store for at least half an hour because the store associates only have certain permissions - understandable. While we were there, my son decided to replace his phone to a new 15 iPhone. Mirka explained that he could get a $700 credit but because the screen on his phone was broken, she couldn't take it unless we replace the screen. She explained to us multiple times that we had to bring it back within 60 days to get the $700 credit. During that visit, I also bought the Apple Watch, another 15 I phone for myself because my iPhone 7 phone wasn't compatible with the new watch. The next weekend while picking up my watch I bought another product from you which was an Apple tablet... so today I went back in there to get the $700 credit for the fixed phone and she stated that we only had 30 days!! That is totally u acceptable and I really feel that she was being deceptive by lying to us about having 60 days but now after she made 4 expensive product sales she telling us something different. This Verizon is located very close to where I live and so it is very, very convenient. I have been with Verizon for years and will continue to do service with them as it is comfortable for me. I have received great service from them and the deals they have offered in the past have been great! I cannot remember the name of the guy who helped me to upgrade my phone but he was nice and pleasant enough. Expect to be greeted when you walk through the door, you will always be acknowledged right away. The phone I wanted to upgrade to wasn't available but it was ordered for me to come in in two days and they gave me a piece of paper to allow me to transfer info from my old phone to my new one at my leisure. I' absolutely LOVE the service. I have never had an issue with the Verizon service itself. My issue is with the CUSTOMER SERVICE of THIS particular location. I chose this location to do a curb side pick up for my Home Internet equipment, this location closes at 6pm, there are two locations within 10 minutes apart from one another, I went to the Verizon store closest to my apartment, when I got there they were very nice and told me that my order was at the other location. I get to this location at 6:00pm, thinking "okay, although I got here RIGHT AT CLOSING, It's a CURBSIDE pick up so there shouldn't be an issue with literally handing me a bag and me going on my way". Hmm, that wasn't the case. The store was FILLED with customers AND workers. So I thought okay, SURELY I'll be able to pick my order up, because everything was done online and nothing was needed from me. THAT wasn't the case, the little officer in the store told me they were closed, I told him that I only have a curbside. As one of the customers were leaving, one of the employees came to the door and told me that curbside closes when the store closes and shut the door in my face. Don't get me wrong, I understand the closing times etc. but where tf was the customer service? Verizon prides itself on CUSTOMER SERVICE. And while their service is great, their customer service is LACKING. I work, and was literally speeding in traffic trying to get to this location, just to have the door shut in my face with a STORE FULL OF CUSTOMERS, over my CURBSIDE orders. Give me a break smh. Warning: I Yelp a lot and I'm a mobile addict. Only Verizon Wireless can satisfy my needs. I've been with Verizon for over a year. I need the steady data and cell phone signals in Chinatown and other parts of Houston. Yes, it costs more than other guys. But you get what you paying for. I ditched T-Mobile after my 11-year relationship. The signal was terrible, plus other issues. I also tried AT&T Wireless for less a year. I found Verizon Wireless has more professionally trained sales in person or on the phone. I came to this store several times when I was thinking about upgrading to Samsung Galaxy Note 4, my current phone. They gave me other options and many recommendations on accessories and packages. I was also looking at other electronic gadgets. The salespeople were knowledgeable and friendly. The recent move on data rollover like AT&T Wireless, I didn't really care for. I currently pay $20 for 1 Gb. I barely use 800 Mb a month. New plan for "small" is $35 for 3 Gb. It can carry to next month. No thanks. I really need to reduce my hours on the mobile devices. My hands are kind of tired. So, if you're in the market to change cell phone provider, come on down to Verizon Wireless. Beware of other stores carrying Verizon name but operates as a contractor. The local stores around my area don't wanna help because I bought the phone through Verizon online services . The managers at these local stores are extremely rude AF. So mom has been without a phone for 5 days now. Verizon charged the phone fee and I had to pay for the prepaid service up front. They are extremely overpriced. during the past 3 years, I had 1000s of robocalls, scam from an Indian call center, and tons of spam fraudulent calls and telemarketers every day. Don't bother setting up a curbside pick up. I set one up. Pulled in a curbside spot and checked in. No one came out. I see people inside one even came to the door and walked someone out. I go inside and they tell me the system is down and they had no way to check. Well common sense isn't so common is it?!?! Kay should get a promotion, a raise and recognition. I came here after two trips to the Post Oak Verizon store where I sadly spent a total of 5 hours. Kay was able to set up the Gizmo Gadget to my phone in less than 5minutes just by "thinking outside the box". The managers/employees at the Verizon store on Post Oak could not figure it out even after spending 5 hours on my account. I've been to this location 4 times in a couple of months , from opening new lines, to upgrading. They have given me excellent service every single time. They will make sure all questions are answered, and that you walk out with everything you need. So now Verizon makes you do all the transfer yourself rather than helping you. They literally give you some papers and send you on your way when you pay about 900.00 for a new phone. Completely ridiculous when no other customer is in the store. I find it asanine. If another brand gives better service, I will be upgrading to that brand when my contract ends. So sick of b.s. There *has* to be better. Update: So after getting that comment from Null, I tried to take Verizon up on its offer to get some help. I called back this location, and all I got was a complete runaround in which I was put on hold. I called another location, and I was told they had no such thing as in person customer service anymore (well that is apparent). Just sales. I'm gonna try to sum this up. I went into the store with an issue, not looking to buy or upgrade. The customer service I received by both Jenneffer and Anna was far above my expectations. It was even far above what I'm sure Verizon's expectations of them are. Because of how I was treated and the above outstanding service I received, Verizon now has a customer for life. I won't get into all the details, but there's been plenty of times over the past several years, with these other company's new lower priced plans, that I've compemplated leaving Verizon. After the service I received last weekend and the human component they added on top of it, I am now a customer for life! Because of how these two ladies handled my issue, Verizon will now be getting at least $100 month from me for several years to come and I happy to pay for service from a company that hires the type of people I had the pleasure if dealing with. To sum it up, I wasn't a number or just another complaint to them, I was a human being and could have been treated any better. My last two experience at this location was great until today. My husband was upgrading his iPhone and the sales rep went over the fees and talked about a package which was $100. Didn't explain thoroughly but said it comes with 3 accessories. Didn't think much about it since we were in a hurry, so we paid and left. My husband was checking the receipt and there were two different transactions. One was for $25 another for $75. What was really weird was that the receipt for $75 was not an itemized receipt. Confused, he checked on MyVerizon app and saw the receipt had itemized those 3 accessories we didn't really need or want. He went back in the store to return the accessories, but what was really shady was that the sales rep's attitude who helped us about 30 minutes prior changed into a different person. He said how he gave us a discount on the upgrade fees (which is a bs cause i've been with verizon for over 5 years) and that was a recommended bundle package ..and so on, but once he figured out that we were here to get our $75 back, we could tell he was annoyed ,and told us to wait until he was done with his other customer. We asked for somebody else who can help since the refund transaction shouldnt take more than a minute. It was our fault too since we didn't double check our receipts and thoroughly investigate what the $100 was for when I never paid more than $40-$50 every time I upgraded. But what upset me was the sales rep's attitude when we went back to return the accessories and I felt like he should've told us that it was a bundle package for the accessories not explain it like its the fees. I put a lot of trust in this place since the managers and Isaiah was so patient with me and helpful ... Now I feel like I have to stress to watch my back like I'm buying a car at this place. After an incredibly nasty and rude customer service encounter at the 8401 Westheimer Rd Houston Verizon (authorized retail dealer) a couple of hours ago, we got first-class service at this corporate store across from Royal Oaks. James Vaughn, Verizon Specialist, exemplifies totally awesome customer service in helping us upgrade to the new iPhone 6 Plus as well as explain available payment options! So even in 2015, you really can get excellent customer service from a mega corporation such as Verizon. Lesson to be learned: Don't purchase or upgrade your phone at a retail dealer, such as 8401 Westheimer Rd, where they don't care if you do business with them or not. Make sure you are selecting a Verizon corporate store. They will treat you right!!!! read more
