part 2 I also re-confirmed that there would be no contractual obligations, just to be sure that I understood clearly and David again assured me that there was no contract at all. So ringing it up, he said the total amount was ~$1400, and after the $600 trade in credit, and my payment of that day of $315 ($180 that he claimed was a down payment, and tax of $135 - which i later calculated was way too high), that the balance owed would be spread over the next 24 months. All was fine for a couple weeks until we got our newest Verizon bill (which we have on autopay). Our monthly bill (for 5 phones) has been ~$225/mo. With the new phone charges added onto that ($485 balance due over 24 months should have come to ~$20 more per month). So expecting a bill of ~$245, I was very surprised when I saw a bill for $385. But I knew that Verizon would fix the mistake when I called them. Only I found out that that Verizon claimed that there was no mistake. And that future month bills would be ~$270 range. They claim that I signed up for a 24 month contract for the new Samsung tablet. This was a tablet that we would never have bought and only took because it was offered as free, to give it as a gift. We have yet to even take it out of the original box. And David had also signed us up for insurance that we didn't authorize. The Verizon agents whom I spoke with, and their supervisors, all said that there was not much they could do. I explained that the Verizon salesperson assured us we had no contract. They said that we signed one. I said that we only signed the paperwork that the agent gave me in order to purchase the phone. I fully trusted a Verizon salesperson to not defraud me. The Verizon supervisors offered some small discount to help defray the cost, but the cost to me was much more than what they offered and the issue was bigger than that. I had been defrauded by someone representing themselves as a Verizon salesperson. So I called the Irvine Spectrum store and spoke with the store manager Ethan. He said that David would never have told me that the tablet and other "gifts" were free. I told him that he absolutely did. He said there was nothing he could do (except remove the insurance). I told him that I would be following up with Verizon executives about this and asked him for his Verizon regional manager's name and number. That was when he told me that they were no longer a Verizon corporate store. They were an authorized Verizon reseller called Victra. This is the first I had ever heard of Victra. I googled them and sure enough, I came up with their Irvine Spectrum store on Yelp. I read the reviews and read my exact story reported, of lies and fraud, with the exact same characters (store mgr Ethan and asst mgr David) multiple times. These guys were preying on trusting Verizon customers, using Verizon's name and reputation to fraudulently coerce sales that they would not likely have made had they not lied to customers. What I think would be minimally fair is for Verizon to do the following: - Credit my account so that my bill will be the expected and agreed upon $245/mo for 24 months (~$20 more per month than the previous bill for 24 month, or about ~$738 less than we are now presumably set to be charged for over the coming 24 month). Again, I paid $315, and had a $600 iPhone trade-in credit. The total cost of the phone was $1400 (incl tax). The balance owed from that is $485. This should add $20.21/mo to my previous bill, for 24 months. Alternatively, I will gladly pay the total balance owed of $485 to be back where I was before this whole scam experience. I do not even want the tablet (we already have 3 iPads) and it's service contract that was put onto my Verizon acct without my knowledge or consent, or the case or the charge bank. - Definitively address the fraudulent sales practices at this (and any other) Verizon (Victra) store - if their unlawful sales practices are not curtailed, revoke Victra's use of Verizon's name and reseller licence. Recently, I went to the Verizon store in the Irvine Spectrum to upgrade my iPhone 7 to the iPhone X. I also wanted to give my 7 to my son -transfer my old IPhone 7 to my sons line. I'm going to continue this with a list of all the blatant lies the representative told me: 1) I have to pay off the balance of $279 on my iPhone to transfer it to my son's line -I later learned from a Verizon call center rep, the next day, that by paying off that phone I was forfeiting a discount I got when I originally purchased the phone in 2016. I had called Verizon because I got a bill for $385 which was the discounted amount. Verizon claims they will credit me back the $270 and I'll continue to pay $5 a month for the 7 but on my son's line now. I haven't seen the $270 as of yet. 2) if I upgrade my Verizon plan to unlimited data I'll actually save $20 a month-so via the store rep, I did. -I learned from the Verizon call center rep that it was actually going to increase my bill by $43 a month. The call center rep stated that he restored my original plan. 3) I could have a screen protector and phone case for the iPhone X for free. I only had to pay a $20 "set-up" at the time of sale (in the store) -I gave the rep my debit card and signed a pin pad but was not given a receipt. We (my 3 young children and I) had been there about 2 hours at that point. 4) My next bill would have a $30 activation fee but all I had to do was call Verizon and they would waive it -the call center rep literally laughed when I told him this but agreed to waive it as I had already told him about how I was ripped off at the Irvine store When I got home that night after purchasing the iPhone X I took it out and realized it actually had not been set up at all. When I was able to check my email I found a receipt from Verizon for the $270 and a separate receipt from a company called Victra. When I gave the sales rep my card to pay the $20 set-up fee (which as it turns out he didn't even do) he actually charged me $235.99 WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. He literally stole from me. The receipt listed a $30 phone case, a $50 screen protector and some other nonsense that I was not told of and definitely did not agree to pay. I disputed the transaction as fraud with my bank but they will only attempt to collect $215 as I agreed to pay the $20 set up fee (again, it wasn't actually set up.) My bank had yet to confirm that they can collect the funds back though. I also reported this Victra company "an authorized Verizon retailer" to the better business bureau and I filed a police report because this is stealing! I got a voicemail from someone named Ethan claiming to be the manager of the store telling me I can return the iPhone X which is completely ridiculous. Numerous people have had the same or very similar complaints. Who is this Victra company and why have they been getting away with this for so long? The Irvine Spectrum is prime commercial real estate- I can't imagine how many other people they've victimized. I really believe this sales rep at the store, named Elorite Titus, preyed on me because I'm a single parent. He intentionally took hours to complete this transaction because my kids would get exhausted and I'd be desperate to get out if there- then he took the opportunity to rob me-it's premeditation extortion and robbery! I figured out that after all the time I spent away from my family and work by being there and on the phone, emailing and filing a police report, plus what they stole from me, it's cost me close to $2,000. One of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time. I placed an online order for an iPhone 16 Pro Max 512GB in Desert color. The website clearly said the phone was ready for pickup at this store. I showed up, gave my name, and the employee found me in the system. She confirmed the model, storage, and color -- everything matched. She told me to wait a few minutes. Then she disappeared for almost 20 minutes. After waiting for about 30 minutes total, a supervisor comes up and asks, "What's the problem?" I explained I was here to pick up my phone. She looked confused and told me I wasn't even in the system and that I had to wait for a pickup notification. I told her I just spoke with an employee who confirmed everything was in the system. That same employee then reappears, speaks with the supervisor, and instead of handing me the phone -- takes it away and starts repeating the same nonsense: "You're not in the system, it's not ready, we're sorry..." So why did I sit there for half an hour? Why did she find me in the system and confirm all the details if nothing was actually ready? Complete lack of professionalism, poor communication, and total disrespect for customers' time. I walked out without the phone I was promised and wasted half my day for absolutely nothing. Their staff and the manager is very good at scamming customers, they are the most serious scam I know in Irvine! I have never been scammed this big in Irvine, this Verizon store does not show "Authorized Retailer" sign on their front store so it makes you think they are official Verizon store, but not! This Verizon store is AUTHORIZED RETAILER!!! They tell you the promotion discount that is expired or does not exist in order to make you buy their device and plan and they will lie to you that cell phone case they give you is FREE! No, they charge you for the case in invoice one month later and that it is too late to return because 14 days return policy has passed and you cannot return it! Guess what I had to do? Call credit card company dispute this BS charges and throw the case over their faces, called customer service many times and spent over 7 hours total on the phone to get my $427 back for scamming me on discounted device which never been discounted, they sold me a device that had no discount but they said it is discounted that I could not believe my eyes that I could get the phone for that cheap but then later one month later you are billed in FULL! No, not this store again I will never ever set my foot in this store. Wow wow wow! What a pleasant surprise finally at a retailer location (which I thought was corporate) when I walked in I had my doubts. Immediately I was greeted by chanel, the wait was roughly 15 minutes (not bad when most stores are by appointment.) She told me that she could help me and solve the problem I had. Tons of issues with my iPhone 11 which was unexpected. I was out of warranty and didn't have insurance so I figured whatever, what are my offers? Not only did chanel get me a phone, she got my wife a phone as well and she NEVER wants to upgrade. We had a buy more save more offer and due to my longevity with Verizon our bill only went up $40 including tax AND insurance. Chanel got us a deal on our screen protector, and my favorite case Otterbox and utilized by STATE OF CA discount for my accessories. She even did the paperwork for the warranty incase the screen protector does crack at any point!! Best thing is...I didn't have to do anything, chanel and her colleagues helped me so fast, efficiently, and most importantly explained the process from beginning to end!! read more

I was at the Irvine spectrum location having dinner with a bunch of buddies at the Yard House which is across the street from the Verizon store. I had a crack in my Note 20 and we were waiting for our table to be ready, what the heck right. I have my military discount applied to my account with the plan already I wanted to see if I had any upgrades available. Privately it was going to cost me nearly $480 to get the screen replaced. Chanel offered me a deal I could not refuse. She took my old phone as a trade in, used it for my essential bundle and basically kept my bill the same. My activation fee on the bill did apply, nothing I can do about that. But out the door I only paid for the tax on the phone which was roughly $120. The rest of my instore purchase was covered from my cracked phone which I had no use for. Thankful for Chanel I really appreciate her going above and beyond! I never write reviews but I had to with the Irvine Spectrum Verizon because Kash went above and beyond customer service. You can tell he's just a caring person. I had an issue with Lake Forest corporate office, refusing to help me. They sent me to the Irvine Spectrum where Kash (Kashie i believe) helped me. He was very PROFESSIONAL, very SWEET. He helped me for over an hour, trying to figure out how to exchange my iphone. He even called other Verizon stores, customer service on my behalf. He wanted to help and get answers. Persistence paid off and he got me answers. He was EXCELLENT. They all seemed nice in there i would totally recommend this store. Ask for Kash. He was really GREAT! This is the only Verizon store I have felt comfortable purchasing a phone from. I'm shocked by all negative comments about this location because My experience was nothing but pleasant. I was immediately greeted at the door with a smile from Matthew. Thanks to him everything went smoothly. Matthew was very thorough with breaking down the entire bill with me which was nice to finally understand what all I'm paying for each month. I The transfer process was a little long as to be expected but I was happy to know that I had all my information on my new phone walking out of the store so I didn't have to worry about it at all. They were professional yet personable, they thoroughly explained the breakdown of what I was paying for, they transferred all my information fairly quickly and overall I had a great time. Matthew whom helped me was excellent! He was knowledgeable and very courteous, I was very impressed by him and his service. I'm in real estate and I plan to advise my associates when searching for a new iPhone or change of their provider to meet with Matthew at Verizon Irvine Spectrum. Avoid this store at all cost!! We purchased 5 lines for our business from the store manager Mark, but nothing he told us was the truth. Every bill has been more than he said it would be and when we asked him to fix the issues, he said the next bill would show credits for the fix, but the credits never came. He stopped responding to our text for assistance. I wanted him to clean up his own mess, but he is untrustworthy and unreliable. I suggest going to a Verizon direct store for purchase. The representative lady with glasses brought out the wrong color, and instead of addressing the mistake promptly, we were left waiting over an hour without any updates or even an apology for the error. This level of service is disappointing, especially for such a simple process. This is my second time at this store at Irvine Spectrum and I have to say the staff here are very knowledgeable and helpful. I'm picky and they were able to answer all my questions and get my old iPhone upgraded with no issue and helped me navigate their new service.
