Just go to Best Buy. Came in here today to pay my Grandpas cell phone bill. He didn't want to deal with people, so I told him I'd go and pay it for him. I'd only done this for him a while ago at a different location so I expected to go towards the back of the store and pay it...but the layout isn't like that here. It's very modern and beautiful inside. I walked in and straight to the back and stood at a desk with a computer. A guy named SERGIO noticed me but he was with a customer and called over to DAVID to assist me. However DAVID was busy on his iPad. He called again and DAVID still didn't pay attention. This guy was in his own little world. SERGIO had to leave his customer, tap DAVID on the shoulder, point at me and then he finally got to doing his job, ya know, customer service and such. When DAVID finally came over, there was no eye contact, just staring at his screen and asking me if I checked in. Umm nope, there was nobody to check in with. I just need to pay this bill. Here's the bill and the check, easy stuff, right?! DAVID took forever and also started helping two other customers at the same time as me. I appreciate that now he decides to multitask but I just wanted to get in and out of here! Finally it all ended and I got to leave, but please train DAVID a little more on customer service and maybe looking up at people. It makes a difference. Very disappointed. My husband did his research and knew what phone he wanted. His old one was acting up. We had to wait for 15 minutes for the first salesperson. The salesperson did not seem to know the answers to my husband's questions. Simple questions confirming features and asking about different plans. We asked for a different salesperson. The manager did not even come ask us what was wrong, we were told we had to wait again for the next available salesperson. After 10 more minutes we left. We told the manager to take us off the list. He didn't even ask us why as we walked out the door. I don't think we will be back. We have multiple phones and devices. We can be treated better elsewhere. read more

SHADY FRAUDULENT LIARS. ‍‍I am still in shock of what happened when I went to upgrade my phone. Carmen helped me. She took me to see the phone I wanted and I told her the iPhone X. When I picked out the color she said oh and your upgrade comes with 150$ worth of accessories that you get to pick out. I said What?! But why? She said because it comes with your upgrade. And I said,again, but why? Is it a promotion? She said it just comes with your upgrade. (Which none of the accessories did I need or want- I get my cases off amazon. I'd rather pay 10$ for a case than 50$ at Verizon) so she rang me up and the total came out to 229$ and some change. When I asked why it was so expensive/what the fees were. She said I only have to pay the taxes on the phone. When she gave me the tablet to sign I thought it was strange I didn't see an itemized amount of the total. She said I can sign and she'll give me the receipt after. I've never had an issue with Verizon, so I signed the tablet, she printed the receipt, put it in the bag(without having me look at it first) and put everything else in the bag. Then I asked her if she sets up the phone here for me(that's what they did last time at the same location) and she said nope, you're good to go, just go home and restore from your last backup. So I said ok (couldn't be that complicated since I've been an iPhone person for over a decade). Went home and tried to restore from back up and had an issue- it didn't take the back up! Which was horrible since I work from my phone. Luckily I called into tech support and the rep was friendly and helped me through everything. Then this morning I woke up to an email saying "thanks for signing up for total mobile protection"- UM WHAT?! I NEVER signed up or authorized that service. I actually told the rep I get insurance through my credit card provider since only my monthly phone bill on there and it's free. So that had me worried.. I checked my Verizon account online and sure enough I see the service. I called into customer care to inquire about the service - when was it put on and how could it be put on without my authorization? The rep canceled the service but then I also told her I didn't know if it was an actual promotion or not, but Carmen also gave me "free" accessories with my "upgrade" so I double checked my receipt that Carmen put in the bag - there was just the total, the itemization amounts were cut off. So I asked the phone rep to detail the receipt for me. She said that Carmen in fact did charge me for the items and didn't tell me. The rep filed my complaint for unethical and misleading sales practices. After I got off the phone I immediately went into the location to return the items and get a refund. When I went in Carmen was standing right in front so I asked to talk with her. I shared with her the info that the phone rep told me, she flat out said that the phone rep is wrong and that they don't know what promotions the stores have. (REALLY?!) so I told her that she mislead me and i never wanted ANY of these things. I asked her why she would tell me they were free and then charge me for them. She had the audacity to try and lie by omission saying, "I never said they were free, I said they came with your upgrade." Yeah without telling me you were going to charge 90$ for them!! So I asked to speak with Patricia her manager. She went back to chat with her then came back without Patricia. Carmen said, "oh my manager said we can just return your items and then refund you." So I said I can do that but what about the invisishield that's already on my phone that I already registered with online for invis. Insurance? She said oh you can just take it off your phone and give it back. I was like really?! that's inconvenient for the consumer who already registered online. Then I asked to speak with her manager again. This time her manager walked out with RBF like this I explained to her what happened and I told her look I know you're trying to meet your commission goals, but lying and scheming isn't the way to go about it. I told her I am more than willing to return all the accessories except the invisishield which is already on my phone, BUT I am willing to pay for it whatever they charged me for (19.99 which is what was on my receipt but I guess by itself is 50$) she said no sorry we can't do that. She said she can return all the items or charge me full price for the shield alone. WTF? I thought to myself. Then I asked if there was anyone above her I could speak to she said nope sorry just me. So I said ok and walked out. I work for a sales and service company myself and I have NEVER experienced such indecent, shady, manipulative employees. The manager and employee should be fired for lying and cheating customers and overcharging then for services and items they don't need nor did they authorize! read more

After reading some of the reviews I was very hesitant to go to this store. Convenience won out, and I am happy that it did. I am visiting from No Cal, and was having problems with my battery/charger and wanted to see what could be done about it. After waiting for a few minutes I was helped by the manager of the store. I think his name is Miguel (sorry if I got it wrong.) He carefully listened to the problem I was experiencing, checked out what could be the problem, determined it was probably the charger, went to find one that would work with my older phone, and didn't charge me for it. That is great customer service! He didn't try to sell me anything, trade up for better equipment, or anything of the sort. He saw the problem and fixed it. Plain and simple. Took daughter in to put a glass cover on her new samsung 5 phone per Verizon's request and activate her phone. The wait was a bit long, but that is ok seeing they were really providing customer service to each customer. However, we got stuck with Adrian who did not know his brain form Adam. He acted like he did not want to help us and was rushed to go home, perhaps because he was not making a SALE!!!! If I could ever reach the Manager, I would suggest they seek better training for him, or perhaps use the "AT WILL" and call it a day with him. On the other hand Jason was Awesome! he was not only helpful, but funny and if I had to go back I would wait to personally see him. if they work off of commission, then I suggest having him handle ALL your business. Basically I went to this store on 8-26-18 to switch back from Metro PCS. I talked with a sales associate about their plans and what discounts they have. I settled on a plan that would cost about $65 a month. Two days later, I looked at my upcoming bill and found out it would really be $98 a month. I called Verizon to let them know that if I was told it would cost this amount that I would not have switched to Verizon. I switched back to Metro PCS on 9-4-18 and called Verizon and asked what I owe. So for 9 to 10 days of service I owe $135. Verizon will not help me with this bill in anyway. They are basically ripping me off for about $100. They also have the worst customer service. This is how Verizon does their business. I came here after a very poor experience at another Verizon store in Huntington Beach. I was greeted by Valerie. I told her about the problem with my phone, and what the other store had said. She was very understanding, she said let me get someone to take a look at your phone. There are 3 people ahead of you, look around. After several minutes Valerie search me out of the crowd to let me know I would be helped next. I was then greeted by Sasha. She sat me down, plugged in my phone and started looking at my phone. She asked me several questions. I admitted that I was a dinosaur ( I'm over 50 ). Her fingers were flying over my phone at warp speed. She found out that I had like a million apps running in the back round, Explained how to erase them. Then she went in and updated everything on my phone and explained why this is important to do. No one ever told me this before. She also showed me how to back up my pictures. She spent over 40 minutes with me. She made sure that every app on my phone worked. I was the last customer in the store, it was almost 9pm and I did not feel any pressure to have to leave. Valerie actually brought me a bottle of water. Sasha told me that these things can put extra strain on the battery. If by doing all this, it might fix the problem. I was so over joyed at this experience! Such a huge difference from the HB store. They just wanted to sell me a phone. Valerie, Sasha and Eddie wanted to make a customer happy. Sasha told me she teaches a class at the La Habra store. I plan on going back to take a class from her. This gal knows phones and how to explain things in a way you will understand. I came home plugged in my phone and it is taking a charge! NEGATIVE STARS!!!! DO NOT GO IN SAVE YOURSELF THE FINICAL RAPE. If you see my other reviews I rarely give a one star unless a company really throws me off the edge. I personally hate really long reviews but to explain what happened was: I go here to sign a new contract with Verizon because I wanted the best possible service and was willing to pay a few extra $$ that was no problem. I get my new iPhone 6, and the lady says," congratulations u get a completely free jet pack with your purchase it's completely free". When it's too good to be true it usually is. They DID NOT EXPLAIN how I would be MISLEAD into paying $20 a month for an extra line for the damn thing and till this day I NEVER USED IT! I didn't need it! Once I find out I have been paying an extra $20 a month for some object I never even wanted. I call to have them cancel and give me a refund they said I have to go in the store I actually got it from. They said nope sorry you're too late you're going to have to PAY A CANCELATION FEE OF OVER A $100. So not only did they eat my money with $20 a month for garbage now they want me to pay a huge cancelation fee. The customer service for Verizon is so horrendous an it always has been horrendous they're notorious for it. Go with AT&T not only do u get the exact same reception( my AT&T friends actually get better reception than me most of the time) their customer service is better. For the rest of my life I refuse to ever let any of my family ever have Verizon EVER again. I can't wait for my contract to be up. read more

When we were still confused of what was going on, he was like "you guys don't get it." and then he started to "act" like he was cleaning up and LEFT (EVEN WHEN THE PROBLEM WAS NOT RESOLVED) so we had to ask another guy for help. Had an amazing experience here with Christopher Gray. We took up 2 hours of his time and he made sure we had all the answers we needed and were thoroughly satisfied with our purchase. Went into this verizon store after a horrible experience at the verizon store that closed around the corner from my house, La Mirada Ave & Imperial Ave (recently closed down) about 2 months ago. Arrived Fri evening and worked with Javier. I've been with Verizon 11 years and I'm still around because of the customer service and service reliability. Javier has to be the best rep i've worked with at Verizon, in these 11 years. He was patient with me, he listened to what I was looking for, made his suggestions based on what would benefit me, not sales. He was honest with me in regards to the capabilities and limitations of certain gadgets, and after I decided to think on a few items, he was completely fine with it. After I brought up those gadgets again, he asked me what my true concerns were, and I was upfront with him, and he explained it all again. I'm at a loss for words to describe his professionalism, honesty, and helpfulness. It's definitely rare to come across these days and my mom and I 100% appreciated it. So much so, I went back in for a 2nd purchase with Javier, today. read more

If you hate that job so much maybe you shouldn't work there? as a CUSTOMER SERVICE REP SPECIALLY? And to my surprise, after wasting 15 minutes inputting my information, he goes so yeah when you get your iPhone 6 make sure to ship the iPhone 4. I tell him the manager just said i could trade it in right now and use that gift card towards the iPhone 6 purchase. Dude goes oh no you cant do that you only could get the gift card after you get the iPhone 6 and the only way you can do that is to wait in the line tomorrow morning for the iPhone 6 release. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I had to take my iPhone 7 in which is only about 4 months old but is already having problems. I went in and the one of the workers there who was a man, ordered a replacement phone to be delivered to me the next day. He had to submit an application to add my apartment number but he advised me it was fine and he would take care of it. The next day I never received my phone. I spent an hour on the phone the following morning to get it resolved. I was told from UPS and Verizon customer service that someone from this store called them and cancelled the order. After being on the phone for an hour I was transferred directly to this store. It was then I was hung up on while the man who was working put me on hold to "go check it out". After being hung up on I called them back and wasn't given an apology or explanation for being hung up or regarding my phone. They told me I can drive back to the store and pick up my original receipt from 4 months ago so that I can drive to Apple to get my phone fixed. The customer service at this place is terrible and it's clear they don't care about their customers. I won't be coming back here again and I suggest no one else does if they are looking to get their phone fixed. read more

been with verizon for a decade, always did my "new every 2" upgrades online without issue. This time, i go in store to play around with the phones first...this guy "helps" me and then starts telling me how he's adding this jetpack BS that's $20 a month, but I get a $25 credit a month (which i found out has nothing to do with the jetpack), the ahole puts this jetpack 4g router on a 2 year contract, and it's slid into the 5 different documents I have to sign. I've literally never taken this hotspot pos out of the box once and they're telling me to cancel it and get rid of the $20 a month i have a $175 fee......very slimy sales tactics, he was purposefully vague and not forthcoming with what he was actually doing. Worst service ever!! I go in to buy a iPhone and change to the share everything plan I was there for a 1 and 30 minutes!! No joke . I was really patient cuz they were having some tech difficulties with the new tablets that they use.at one point the girl that was helping me stopped and helped someone else!!! I just let it go and was like whatever I'm getting a iPhone 5 why get pissed about it but then the girl changed my account wrong to a higher gigabyte then I wanted and she noticed it not me and the next day it was not changed still so I had to call myself to change it there goes another 8 minutes and to top it off the girl was supposed to email my receipt due to them using the tablets and they're "going green" but the email never was sent for a $450 purchase u better believe I want a receipt so customer service says I gotta call the store understandable so I call the store a girl picks up and says" we will email u when we can or u can come in" now after the night before its pretty understandable that I shouldn't have to go in and how long can It take to just send or re-send the email for god sakes I was in there for 1 hour and 30 minutes( way to make as customer feel wanted)so I call back and ask to talk to a manager the manager quickly says let me get someone while I'm still talking and puts me on hold (I had him on the phone for less then 20 seconds) and was on hold for another 5 then I just called back and said look all I want is for someone to send my receipt hat wasn't even offered to me on paper and don't wanna be put on hold anymore cuz this is ridiculous at this point he then said " will u can call customer service and they can email it to u "and I told him I tried that they said to call u then it was back to the will u have to come in to which I said if I'm going in there I am not waiting and expect to be taken right away so if your telling me that gonna happen then Ill go in if not then I need the receipt emailed ..the service was absolutely AWFULL I will never go back to this store and no one else should go SOME WHERE ELSE. read more

Went in to see if I had a charging cord issue or a problem with my phone. I was told my phone had a problem, but good news, the extended warranty was still good. The rep said I just have to check one thing. He opened my phone and said, sorry, this has been in water, so it's not covered. One, never been wet. Two, I have a working phone with a lose charging connection, why isn't that a warranty item water or no water? So, since the warranty isn't any good, how about an upgrade? I was eligible! Great! I was asked what kind of phone I wanted 3 times and responded 3 times that I needed to know how much. Finally threw up my hands and left. Went to another Verizon location (The Village @ Orange). They fixed my charger connection problem by simply digging out some lent, and showed me their new pricing plans saving me over $90 per month on my wireless bill. From now on, I will always travel the extra miles. read more

This post and COMPLAINT (had to hit 1 start or could not post... this store deserves NO STARS) is for the Verizon store located in La Mirada on the corner of La Mirada Blvd and Imperial Hwy. 14986 Imperial Hwy. The Store Manager helped my mother who is 71 years old purchase a phone as a gift for her grandson (who is 22). She has NEVER purchased a cell phone and is currently using a basic flip phone, so her knowledge on cell phones is in the hands of the Verizon Store Manager. The Store Manager sold her a basic phone with text and talk only for $80 per month. This is NOT what she asked for, but not being cell phone savy she feltthe Store manager was giving her what she asked for. It was two weeks later after the phone was given as a gift that we looked at the plan and discovered this was not what was requested. We called Verizon and they stated we had 14 days to cancel. It was actually 16 days when we went into the store to ask the store manager if we could adjust the plan and get a smartphone, since this is what my mother originally asked for. the store manager said no, that it was past the 14 day window. (Keep in mind the phone had not been used yet since it was a gift and just opened 2 days prior to this visit.) The Store Manager gave my mother 3 options: 1. Pay restocking fee of $80 (on a $59 phone) Pay early termination of $350 2. exchange phone for a home phone connect and only pay $20/mo (home phone and internet is already Verizon so this is not an option) 3. switch an existing phone from an AT&T account (all of which are under contract until mid 2013) to Verizon NONE of these options HELP the situation. Options #1 and #3 would be more money out of pocket for my mother who is on a tight budget. All she was asking for is to get a plan and phone that she originally went in and requested. The Store Manager took complete advantage of my mothers lack of knowledge of cell phones and sold her a phone she did not ask for and then did not offer any type of CUSTOMER SATISFACTION OR SERVICE. Being a Store Manager I would expect more from him BUT he took total advantage of a senior citizen! I would NEVER recommend VERIZON to ANYONE and will share this story with everyone who is planning on purchasing a service through VERIZON. There is a reason I have stayed with AT&T for as long as I have. The store in Whittier is extremely helpful! SENIOR CITIZENS...beware of people like the store manager at Verizon that take advantage of you! read more

I decided on a whim to upgrade my phone since it was pushing 3 years old. I was expecting nothing less than $200-$300. To my surprise, the iPhone 5s was on sale for $100 for Father's Day. So I was already happy about that. And of course, the rep tried to peak an interest in cases and covers but I told him I had a strict budget and didn't want to pay with my card, cash only. He and the manager looked at my current phone and even though it probably wasn't worth anything, they offered to discount any accessories I may want. I walked out with a new phone, an Otter Box, a heavy duty glass shield screen protector, an extra USB, and a car charger. ALL for the price of the phone + $4. FOUR dollars. I know damn well that I got a fantastic hook up. Thanks Yaser! And unfortunately, I didn't grab the manager's name, but he was the one that suggested the trade-in. Apparently he was helping a customer after me that wanted to hook up 2 lines and he didn't erase my information so the lines got connected to my account. My account was also changed from the old unlimited data plan to the new one. I have had to call customer service 4 additional times, it's been 1 month and my account has still not been corrected. Supposedly they can't change my plan back until my billing cycle ends. When I complained about the data speed that I'm receiving because we've gone over the new plan data limit and are being dropped below 4G during congestion times all they could offer me was a $25 credit. Also, found out in speaking with the customer service rep that called initially about the problem, half of what Casey told me about the new unlimited plan was BS. I would have expected that from a non-company store...but this is one of their company stores. If it hadn't been for the fact that only Verizon gets service at my work I would not be doing business with them. Beware if you go to the La Habra store and Casey helps you, you might end up with something you weren't expecting! read more
