I went to visit my parents, and my mom asked me to look at her phone bill which she told me had been almost $500 the last few months... My dad is in his 70's and not technical savvy at all. He lost his phone a few months ago, so he went into this store to replace it. The sales person (Chris B) told him that if he didn't buy an ipad - he would lose all of his photos. ??? So he bought what they told him he needed, Ipad,Keyboard,Screen guard, Messenger folio - and he was also given a new phone line and contract with every add on you can think of. He purchased these things so he wouldn't lose photos of his grandkids. I called the store and the manager basically told me if my dad signed the agreement - then there was nothing he could do. That he was 100% certain his sales people wouldn't do this. That's not all - my mom went into this store to buy an ipad. Great. no problem. But they put her into a contract for a new phone number which she didn't want or need but was told that's how ipads work. I get that if you sign a contract, then you are responsible for it. My parents only signed the contracts because they thought it was that or their device wouldn't work or their pictures would be lost. Honestly I feel like a jerk for not helping them - but I didn't know how clueless they were or how easily taken advantage of they would be. So now their monthly bill is almost $500 - my dad has a $1,000 device contract for an ipad he will never use and they've been paying for two extra phone lines that they didn't even know they had. DO NOT go to this store if you are not savvy about devices or phone contracts. They will take advantage of your ignorance and tack on every fee and every accessory under the guise "you need this to work". Now I'm going to have to go to small claims court which is the absolute last thing I want to do. Moral of the story - help your parents with tech. read more

This review is long overdue! I came into this store location having issues with my cell phone and Chris was very helpful and took care of the problem. He also helped me pick out a new tablet which I love! The location was clean. I felt safe and everyone in the store was wearing a mask and was practicing social distancing. If I could give a 0 I would stay the heck away from this place. They scammed us to buy all this product in order to get our phone and made us pay a fortune. Extremely rude and we tried to ask so many times why we needed to buy this stuff in order to get a phone they told us that's how they sell phones in bundles so we had no choice but to purchase 200 dollars worth of products. We are still furious and feel like we were scammed. After going to another Verizon store they told us what they did to us was wrong and should not have happened and the products they forced us to buy are 3rd party products so we couldn't even return them. Stay the heck away from this place these people are straight up not good people. My phone has been running hot as well. What ever you do go to another location and not this one. read more

He made the entire process easy and actually a pleasure. He didn't try to sell me on products I didn't want and actually listened to what I needed. No way he needed to or should have had to restock anything. Just charged me the $50 to make money off me. He was rude to me and his employee trying to help me. My Android finally shut down after only 2 years of HARD use (it doubles as my personal and business phone). I panicked because I was afraid to lose the thousands of contacts and the phone wouldn't charge anymore. I called the Verizon store in San Juan and Louis picked up. He told me to come on down and he would do everything in his power to save my contacts. I arrived at the store, and Louis was professional and helpful from the start. First, he was able to get my phone turned back on (whew). Second, he showed me the latest Google Pixel phone after verifying what my preferences are. Since I've never owned an iPhone and 10+ iterations have passed me by, I didn't think this was the time to start. Louis also confirmed that if I am looking for the most direct transfer of my apps and user experience, the Google Pixel phone was the right choice. Third, he worked on transferring my date while I bought some KFC to go and actually ate in the store. Fourth, he gave me access to the store's hot spot so I could do some work while I waited. Fifth, he set up my email account, verified that my voicemails and contacts transferred, and apologized that my text messages did not transfer. He also picked out a protective case and screen protector for me. By the time I got home, my phone had everything I needed to keep the transition seamless. The best part: ALL my text messages transferred over, which is something even he did not promise off the bat. I highly recommend this store. I've always shopped here as others in the local area have you waiting behind several or dozens of people all the time. I walked in, got personal service, and Louis helped prevent a panic attack. read more

WORST LOCATION EVER! My girlfriend has an upgrade for 300$ . They tried forcing her to buy a case , charger and screen protector and said they will not give her a phone unless she buys all that 100$ extra stuff . Just tried to switch to Verizon from T-Mobile at this store, and they were trying like crazy to tack on tons of extra fees! Go here if you want to pay a ton extra money right into the store manager's pocket every month. $13/month phone insurance? $199 accessory package for the charger and cable? When I told them that I wanted to just pay their advertised prices, they told me to leave and go to Apple. They weren't willing to sell me a phone at their advertised prices. When I repeatedly said I just wanted to buy the phone with their Beyond Unlimited plan, and wouldn't pay for any of their dealer add-ons they started treating me terribly and got really upset. The manager came over and leered at me intimidatingly. Worst wireless sales office I've ever been in. If you're looking for a new iPhone do yourself a favor and just go directly to Apple. Getting a phone shouldn't be like buying a car from a sleazy salesman. read more

We first went into this store only because one of our two I-Phone 7's (purchased in this same location less than 3 years ago) totally failed and we needed a replacement. Our salesman was Eric S., who throughout our visit was friendly and seemingly competent. We decided to trade in both 7's for I-Phone 11 Pros, and Eric brought out the new phones as well as two I-Pads, Gen 7. We told him we were not looking for new I-Pads, he replied that there was a current special with each phone purchase to get a free IPad. Although we both had working I-Pads, albeit older models, we gladly accepted this offer- who wouldn't? Eric then proceeded to load us up with accessories such as I-Phone glass protectors, cases, new auto chargers, cases for the new I-Pads, etc., none of these items having any prices posted in the store. Cost of glass covers and cases for each phone was $110, cost of new car phone charger and cable for each phone was $70! (according to him, we had to upgrade to new lightning chargers for car use, which is not true according to Apple). Only when we returned home and reviewed the bill did we realize we'd been gouged price wise for all these items. We have returned to this store 3 times to discuss a number of issues we have had with this entire transaction with Louis, the store manager, with little success. Our first Verizon bill for service has numerous errors and overcharges, including charges for the "free" I-Pads, which it turns out weren't free, to say the least. I won't bore you with all the details! Today we spent 90 minutes on the phone with Customer Service, and we think all our issues have been resolved...hopefullly. Suffice it to say, either the staff at this SJC store are incompetent, or they're focused on profits, but NOT customer service. BTW, you cannot call the store to discuss any questions or issues; the phone listed on their business card rIngs to a local and useless service number which doesn't relay messages to the store, not even for a call back. Our advice: go to Best Buy and purchase your phone and Verizon service. Their prices and their knowledge of Apple devices is much, much better. read more

Went to go with my mom to get a phone here. She was very excited and looking forward to it since she waited until I was home to go so I could help her. Everything went fine at first - got the phone, took a look at accessories. She didn't like any of the cases so I told her she can just order something online then. Then, we get absolutely harassed by the store manager that we weren't buying any accessories. I have never been treated that way by a sales person. My mother is a kind and hardworking woman, and gets insulted by this manager. Its absolutely unacceptable, and beyond bad customer service. Not the best verizon to visit. I came in for a screen protector on one occasion, a car charger, and another time to return the car charger. They only have one brand of phone accessories and dont even have verizon branded products. The guy working kindly referred me to target for verizon branded stuff. I waited more than 45 mins to do the return and had to leave because no one was available to help me. The guys working there are very kind when they are available to help but probably will avoid this location in the future. read more

I called at 5:45 PM to make sure they were open till 8 o'clock, which it said on their website but I wanted to make sure. He said yes. I got here at 7:18 PM and another lady was already waiting but the store was closed. There was a sign on the door that says be back at 7:40 PM. We each thought that was odd but she waited until 745, and I waited until eight. At 8 o'clock, the guy showed up but wouldn't help me because he said they were closed at eight. I explained that I had been waiting for 42 minutes and that his sign said he would be back at 7:40 PM. He said sorry, we were busy today, and I had to take my lunch. And I said then why did you leave a sign that says back at 7:40 PM. He said I didn't leave that, it must've been up on the door from yesterday. This is after spending a total of 5 hours this and last month at this location fighting for my prepaid line to be $55 a month with unlimited data. MANAGER AND EMPLOYEES LIE I purchased a LG G4 here two years ago and a new iphone 6S for my wife. My phone went dead last week, so I went into the store after work. Irving the only person working in the store tried to power up my phone, but couldn't. He said it was dead because of old technology. I asked him what I could do to replace it. He said I have to buy a new phone. I asked about all my contacts and photos. He said they were all gone. So, I purchased a new phone. I called Verizon customer service to explain what happened. They said I had a warranty and could get a free replacement LG G4 phone. They said they could put all my contacts into the replacement phone, but my photos were gone. They said the technology is fine and not outdated. They apologized for Irving's lies. I'm going to try and return this phone I purchased. Irving said there is a 14 day return policy. I bet they will try to not give me a refund. I'll see and give update. UPDATE I went to the store to return the Samsung I purchased six days ago. The manager Roni pressured me to keep it. He also stated my bad review on the Verizon survey emailed to me caused Irving to be suspended. I saw Irving in the store. Roni said they cannot see if I had replacement insurance on my phone. It took an hour to return the Samsung. I complained to a Verizon executive by email. I received a phone call and explained how I was treated. The Verizon representative said that anyone can see that I had replacement insurance for my phone. She told me Irving was not suspended and that employee information is not to be disclosed to the public. She gave a full report to the district manager of this store. All my charges were refunded and I received a $150 credit on my account for the bad experience. I will never go to this store again. read more
