I was looking to upgrade my phone from the 5S to the 6S the other day, and I found myself in south Torrance. I consulted my trusty Yelp app, and found this place to be the closest. So I made my way here. The upgrade process took about an hour, since they had to set the phone up and clear the memory of my old one.The pleasant surprise was the lifetime extra 2GB of data that is now on my plan, for a total of 14GB per month, and unlimited talk and text. After the set up was done, they told me what I needed to do to restore my music and other apps. This was a simple process, which was done by syncing my phone via my iTunes software back home. Recently, however, I realized something was wrong with my account. I called the Verizon service line to ask about additional plan options. I was going through my account with a fine-toothed comb, and realized that the staff here put me on a phone protection plan I did not agree to. In fact, I told them in person that I did not want any phone insurance whatsoever. They placed it on my account anyway, and it added $11 extra per month on my bill. This is not a budget-breaker for me, but the principle is what matters here. Fortunately, I found this discrepancy before my first bill even came, and I fixed it while filing a complaint through corporate. That is the pet-peeve I have with Verizon. Much like the memberships people at 24-hour fitness, you really have to watch out for them trying to pull a fast one on you. The actual phone service and smart phones are awesome, but there are many sales people that are swindlers. Beware. read more

I came to the store recently and the two girls were very helpful. Brenda was very knowledgeable within my Samsung s21 ultra and Julie was able to match some accessories to it. I absolutely am loving this camera just as I was told. I am very excited for my new trip on thanksgiving with this camera. The customer service here was amazing I most definitely recommend it. Came in to Exchange my OVERPRICED tempered glads spoke to Victor Ayala I asked to exchange it and he denied me this is after being told that it had lifetime warranty that it could be exchanged through the manufacturer something I already know or in store as long as they have it in stock. As it turns out they had it in stock but the employee to remain nameless due to Yelp policy refused to honor the in store warranty. This employee seemed miserable doing his job and smelled like he was still drunk from the night before not sure how someone can come to work like this it's very unprofessional. Anyways please stay away from this AUTHORIZED RETAILER and their OVERPRICED ITEMS. Little things about the them. Wanted to get a WI-FI HOTSPOT and went to Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance CA Corporate owned Verizon store whose service was so not so good... Quickly found another nearby store Verizon (3720 Pacific Coast Highway Store in Torrance, CA) and was served within 3 minutes. A gentlemen John and later Chris were super helpful. Their genuineness to help customers was a breath of fresh air!! John spoke highly about the company and VICTRA. Found out that VICTRA is private owned Verizon store. John made several recommendations between acquiring the HOT SPOT or ROUTER. Within 15min we had a HOTSPOT which is working great. A few days later went back to Verizon (VICTRA) 3720 PCH who helped to setup My Page, usage information and provide once again excellent service ! ! ! Very patient, helpful and knowledgeable... What more can you ask for when you have a perfect formula of product knowledge, professional/friendly attitude, patience combined with quick service!!! . I will be returning in a few weeks to get my new phone!!! My advice is go see John (Jonathan) and Chris at the Pacific Coast Highway store in Torrance if you have any Verizon phone needs. Absolutely horrendous. I felt like I was being talked down and lied to the entire time when it came to security of my data. Upgrading my phone I needed to move data from the old device to the new one. Instead of helping me through the service and waiting to make sure all my important information was transferred, they deleted and shipped away my phone without my consent, costing me thousands of pictures and important information. They talk a lot and sound convincing but overall do not care about their costumers. If you want to keep your data, do NOT come here. read more

I just got my new phone delivered on Saturday afternoon and discovered that I needed a different sized SIM card. Unfortunately, due to the quarantine, all of the big Verizon stores were closed. Jon the manager missed his lunch after I briefly explained how I was due for an upgrade and how any discounts offered over the phone with Verizon customer service were diminished. He and staff Ericka were able to warn me of the which iPhone to get and got me the best discount available. All the while treating me and my father with great service, I walked out paying $20/per month for 2 iPhone XR's and a Motorola for $10/ monthly. When I was looking paying a full $750 per phone which would have came out to about $31.00 per month for 2 years. He saved me $540 overall and I'd like to thank him thru this review for being so generous and helpful towards saving me and my family that amount when he had no obligation to. Was lied to about a return policy from customer service agent the sold me a phone... Went back to return the phone well within the time frame given...was told that I couldn't return the phone...the agent told the other agent that, indeed, he'd told me improper time frames...they DID NOT honor the misinformation that I was given...their resolution, for the store, was to fire the agent that sold me the phone. OK, so, now the agent is gone, but now I have a $1000 phone that I wasn't allowed to return and I had already bought a different phone (the reason for the return). I called Verizon...was told that they have their own rules and that Verizon, can't enforce VERIZON rules because THIS IS NOT A VERIZON STORE****BEWARE****. Even though there is BIG VERIZON SIGN on the store front. LIES! BEWARE! I will be contacting the FTC to report this! read more

These 5 stars are for Niloufar. She was so helpful towards me and my dad in an otherwise pretty frustrating situation. The shop is very small and it was quite busy that day so we had a bit of a wait and had to go and come back multiple times, which was very frustrating. Luckily for us, when we were able to talk to a representative, Niloufar, she was so so so helpful and helped us to find a really amazing deal for a new phone. She was an amazing employee. Thank you Niloufar!! If the store is busy, I would NOT recommend going to this location. However, if it is a slower day you will not be disappointed in the customer service. I just happened to find this place since it's a few blocks from my business. First impressions go a long way with me when shopping retail, Irving and his Staff were able to address all my questions and concerns during my first two visits. The initial visit was early September during the pre-order for the new iPhone 7's, I was able to order (5) new lines with a small deposit with a promise date of October 5th. Now fast forward to October 5th and I get a phone call early afternoon informing me my phones were in for pick up and new activation. I had been with AT&T since 2008 but I had a plan with very limited data, I needed more GB's and Irving was able to get me a family plan for about 30% less than what I was paying monthly @ AT&T Now I have a whole lot more data for my Wife & Kids and everybody is happy, Thanks again Irving for coming through. I came in around 8:50 pm to upgrade my phone, and the worker was helping another customer. He told me if I was willing to wait, he would stay past 9. It was around 9:20 when I realized that the worker was in fact flirting with the customer! At 9:30 pm I asked him how much longer I needed to wait, and he said not long. I ended up waiting another 30 minutes until 10 pm until he was "done" signing up the customer before me. I will not go in to detail the completely non-related things the worker conversed about with the customer, but It does not take 1 hour and 10 minutes to sign up a customer. Very disappointed with wait here, and even though he stayed after, I did arrive before closing and it is no excuse for the wait. Having said that, when he did get to me, he was extremely helpful and apologized several times for the wait. Still no excuse, but at least the service is good, I might say great when you get it. I recently visited this store to pick up my new iPhone, I was helped by a young man named Fady. He was a new employee, who charged me a "Set Up and Go Service Smartphone Fee." I questioned this fee a few times he kept avoiding my question. Finally a young lady that was working their explained that the store charged a fee to transfer your old phone information to your new phone. I explained to the young man that I did not need that service he mentioned it was not an option the fee was automatically added bu the store, I was then told it would take 40 minutes to transfer my information. I told him this was totally unacceptable and I would not wait that I wanted a refund. I was told to come back Friday to speak to the manager, Esmeralda on Friday which I did. Not only was she the most unprofessional & incompetent person I have ever dealt with. While I was there another customer was complaining about the same charge. This store is a freaking scam! Please avoid this location go to an actual Verizon store. This authorized dealer is garbage! I called Verizon to report this store and will be reaching out to Corporate. Was keeping this bottled up, but it just needs to be said for the sake of other customers. Most uncomfortable experience I've ever had in a store. Had a cracked screen with a protection plan. The gentleman told me I didn't, and would need to buy a new phone. I insisted that I did, and after 10 minutes of him telling me I don't, his coworker explained I did actually have the plan. I wanted to replace my phone on my protection plan, and also qualified for a new phone on my Verizon account. They insisted on changing my plan to a business account, I stated forcefully that I don't want that 3 times, and then had to step outside once they pissed me off and refused to listen. They spent another 30 minutes telling me asking every detail, including personal details and info I'd rather not share, obviously to see what my spending ability was. I stated I want a direct replacement for my phone, on the plan I had pre-paid for for 5 years. It was a timeshare sales event, used car salesman approach. Then, I was billed for a new phone, and they snuck in a second protection plan cost of $17 a month. I questioned it, and the other guy said some comment and walked away. They clearly had no idea of the online system, said I didn't have protection when I did, added more plans, and finally after nearly 10 times telling them what I wanted, and not what the extra hundreds they wanted to charge me, I had to step out to not strangle the damn guy. It was so damn uneasy. Don't go here, they are first-job employees who are trained to find any way to upcharge you. The guy next to me got taken for $1100, lucky I got out for a little over $100, with insurance, arguing, walking out, basically yelling at the guy to listen to why I'm saying. I'm raising a corporate dispute as this was awful, and I saw several people get swindled during my 1.5 hours getting this resolved. And when I finally got to leave, I was told the discount won't apply for 2-3 months, and I will still be charged another $100 or so from Verizon on my next 2 bills. Such a scam, salesman, manipulation. They asked many personal questions which were designed to take me for granted, like what car do you drive, what work do you do, what area do you live, do my family members want to upgrade? Then, told me Apple doesn't give you a charger with the phone and you also need to buy all that from them. It was lie after lie, gauging my income and wealth, adding several extra charges I explained I didn't want. Then, the end price was also added more things monthly, like a second protection plan on the same phone. Crooks is a light way to put it. It's really sad these 20 year old kids are trained to lie cheat and steal as a job. Your manager should be ashamed, and if you work there, you clearly have no conscience. read more
