What a fabulous place!! We had a very sad situation with our dog and everyone there was so very kind and attentive to our needs as well as treating our dog with tenderness and respect. After some very quick intake and testing we were told that we would need to put her down, and we were offered a private room and all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. The vet was amazing and the technicians were all so great that even this horrible situation was made to be the best it possibly could be. THANK YOU so much to everyone who works there. Today I had to do an awful thing, we found a poor sweet cat who'd been hit by a car and left to pass alone. We wanted to give him some dignity and have his body cremated but some of the places we contacted suggested throwing him out with the trash. But VEG was the light at the end of the tunnel - they took our sweet furry neighbor and now he is finally at peace. Their compassion was so reassuring and it's a great comfort to know that he was cared for, even if it was after his death. read more

Nobody wants to have to go to a veterinarian ER. If you find yourself at one, the situation is critical. I found myself in that situation last week. My baby boy quickly slipped into an extremely advanced case of diabetic keto acidosis and I had to make a very hard decision that day. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, the staff was incredible. Dr. Thomas was incredibly knowledgeable and truly compassionate and supportive throughout. Everyone I worked with at VEG was caring, gentle and kind. Was it expensive?.. yea, it's an ER. But I don't regret going there in the very slightest. Dr. Thomas and the staff at VEG made one of the worst moments of my life as calming and easy as it possibly could have been. The facilities are very nice as well. All that being said, I truly hope I never have to see this place again, but that has nothing to do with VEG. Took my dog here late last night after he couldn't stop vomiting. Every single staff member was warm, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. They were very thorough with my dog and recommended a future treatment plan along with specialists they would recommend. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our beautiful cat down. The service was good and they seemed very supportive and caring. The bad taste in our mouth was left when they had prepared our cat for her final injection and before they did as we were sobbing said we needed to finalize the bill and the woman who was holding our cat wouldn't let us touch her until the payment was finalized. She was nice up until that point. Now, we aren't angry that they wanted to settle the bill, but we had been there for almost 6 hours at that point and had given them a credit it card, approved the charges, and selected the urn for our cat, so we were confused on what exactly needed to be finalized. She robbed us of a peaceful last few moments with our cat on something that should have and could have been addressed at any point during those many hours we spent there. I'm not exaggerating we were there for almost 6 hours. A younger tech was super sweet after learning about have to make the decision to put our cat down and I wish I could remember her name. We were a tad distraught. We did get the ashes back quickly and the company that did the cremation put together a beautiful certificate of cremation and ceramic paw print. When I went to pick her up I again was surprised and actually laughed at how disingenuous the woman who handed her to me and walked away while saying "oh yeah sorry for your loss" I understand that this was a very emotional time for us, so I might be a little sensitive, but I was down right fuming when the woman wouldn't let us touch our baby girl until we settled our bill, which we already thought we had by giving them a credit card and approving the charges hours before hand. Her entire tone changed and for that I want to prepare people. The service seemed good, but unfortunately the action of one woman destroyed our opinion of the place. read more

Highly Recommend this place, as soon as you walk in staff immediately makes you feel welcomed. Took my 11 month old puppy here and felt very comfortable with that care and urgency he was being treated. Dr. Brandy Cameron was very professional, explained in very much detailed every step she was taking and nurses and everyone involved with assisting her was very polite and showed cared for my dog. Besides the amazing treatment, this place is very clean constantly check on their patient but also the owners having snacks and drinks while you wait. Not your typical emergency room ! This place is set up to be next to your animal the whole time seeing what's going on making your animal feel better knowing you're there for them and making easier to provide the best care for them !! So grateful for this team! My cat ate a bit of silicone off of a cat toy - large enough to be an obstruction concern. Thankfully we saw it happen, called ahead and was able to talk to one of the Docs who agreed that it was a good idea to bring him in. They gave him medication to cause vomiting, it worked, and they got us on our way in about 45 minutes. Which is frankly, amazing! They were busy, with multiple emergencies that looked a lot more urgent than us happening and I expected to have to wait. But they were able to balance everything and were so attentive and kind. Emergency vet visits are never going to be cheap, because you're paying for their expertise, being open, and medical supplies. But they were so quick and efficient- they kept this from becoming a procedure or surgery, which would have been in the thousands. And my kitty and I were home an hour later. Hope we don't need to come back soon, but they will be my go to if it happens! read more

Our little Havanese dog somehow had a scratch on his left eye. Our veterinarian was closed for the day, so we took him to the veterinary emergency group who did a wonderful job in diagnosing the problem and getting the on healing meds. Scratch healed quickly. read more

This place is amazing. It has an open concept where you can stay with your pet and see what is happening the entire time. The staff was caring, professional and communicated clearly through out my visits. My puppy ended up passing away after a surgery. I was able to stay the night with my other dog and be on scene as everything progressed. When he passed my other dog was able to be there to see his brother and we both got to say our good byes. Totally blown away by the care here. My high needs dog was totally panicked with a gnarly ear infection, and clearly in a ton of pain. She was yelping and hitting her head on the floor after I tried an old topical medication, so I called 5 emergency hospitals and no one would take her (because they "didn't have ear stuff"??). When we first arrived, I was just so grateful that they were taking us, and they were very kind. Understandably, we did have to wait about an hour, and my one gripe is that no one told us that the doctor was in surgery, how long it might be, or what we were waiting for. However, that hour was totally eclipsed by seeing them in action and the absolute incredible care of Dr. Forcade. She was AMAZING. Incredible bedside manner, calm, thorough, efficient, and an absolute rockstar. I could tell she really cared, and the vet techs were kind and took such good care of my dog. The team sedated her, cleaned her ears, gave her a treatment, and sent us home with meds that cleared up the infection within days. I wish Dr. Forcade was our regular vet! She's amazing! read more

I unfortunately had to bring my cat here to be put to sleep. Walking in I could hardly speak to tell the staff member who greeted me what we needed and she immediately whisked us back to a private room. Each staff member was kind and took their time with me during the intake, including the vet (I do not remember her name). They gave me time to think, time to sit with my cat before and after. They were kind in preparing me for the process (though I have been through it in the past with other pets), and lovingly held and prepared my cat. The room had a little table in the corner with a book to write memories in, and tiny memory jars you could take, among other little things - I thought this was a very nice touch. (My 10 year old wrote a tiny note to our cat on a scroll of paper to keep in the jar, and keeps it on his nightstand to say goodnight to.) It is good to know that there is a place so close to our home we can visit if needed for emergency pet care. read more

Anytime you have to go to emergency services for a pet, it's always a very stressful, clinical, and glum. I had to bring my pup in, and was very stressed. Every single employee was wonderful. I was informed of the process the whole way. I was able to stay with my pup through the whole thing. I always felt like my baby was in good hands. I feel I was in good hands. I was offered snacks, tissues and beverage. Yes there is always a high price tag, but honestly it could have been worse. On December 28th we had to take our little girl Sissy Lynn into the emergency room. She was 15 1/2 years old, and had recently been suffering with urinary track infections. She was a chihuahua Jack Russell Mix and had her for almost 15 years. She was her usual self at bedtime, but by 2:00 the next afternoon, she suddenly became very sick and had a major seizure. We took her to VEG Lynnwood and they were amazing. I was NOT going to let anyone tell to wait in a waiting area while taking my baby to the back room to look at her! I was amazed that this is not how they do things there! They helped us immediately upon arrival and we were right there by her side to comfort her! They tested her blood, gave her an IV, and then a scan to look at her bladder. To our horror, she had a large mass and it appeared it had burst and she was septic. There was nothing we could do. We did not expect to lose her that day, but we did. The staff was so loving to her and us, doing everything they could to make her trip to the other side peaceful and full of love. I rushed my cat to this ER after he ate something highly toxic. We normally go to Pilchuck because it is close to our house and our pets' regular vet but they were full and recommended this and one other clinic to try. I called on the verge of panic and was told to bring him in. The whole experience was very different from what I was expecting. I was greeted at the door by a doctor who immediately started asking questions about what was wrong. The check in process was quick and easy and his care started quickly. What surprised me the most was the care and attention that was paid to me as a distressed owner. I was quickly offered something to drink by Megan (I think?) and when we were put in a private room, Desiree told me I could stay the night and that you had toiletries on hand, the ability to turn the couch into a sleeper, tablets if I wanted to watch shows, and was given a tray with assorted snacks. She even brought me a phone charger. I have had animals my whole life and only ever experienced the typical empathy one would expect to receive when their pet has a medical emergency but this was far above anything I could have imagined. If this clinic were closer, it would be my primary spot for any future emergencies that we don't want but are almost certain to experience. I can safely say that if Pilchuck is ever not able to take him, VEG will be my next call! Thank you for taking such good care of my cat (and me)! read more

My cat had a coyote attack and I needed care on a Sunday morning, and this is where I took her. Immediately upon walking in several techs came to us and began to assess her. They were kind, gentle and clear in their communications. They assessed her injuries quickly and got us situated. She spent the whole day with them, they sedated, shaved and irrigated her wounds and assessed her for infections and internal injuries and sent us home with meds. The price wasn't cheap but it was quite reasonable for emergency care: $564. Would definitely go there again if I had a fur baby in an emergency state. read more

Took our sweet 6 year old Bengal to Diamond, then VCS of Seattle...neither could take us. VCS recommended VEG, which is literally down the street. At 10 am on Saturday, VEG took Oscar in immediately. He had lost weight quickly and was literally skin and bones. They got urine and blood from him, then prepared him for an ultrasound. The tech was there and they invited me to watch and keep our boy calm. I have to add that we lost another of our cats this past Thursday. We had taken him to VCS on Friday and they scheduled him for an ultrasound almost two weeks later. We were able to get an appt sooner, on Friday (one week later). Unfortunately, he passed on Thursday so the ultrasound wasn't needed. I say that only because the relief I felt that VEG was able to do the ultrasound right there was palpable. The vets and vet techs at VEG are so sweet and everyone looked happy to be there. They allow the patient's "pawrents" to view everything they do and patiently answer all the questions in layman's terms. That they are a 24/7 urgent care facility is a huge plus, and they do not rush you when you need to leave your pet overnight. We were told to take all the time we wanted to stay with our boy. The vet called to follow up this evening to let us know that the initial possible diagnosis was not seen by the radiologist. She also mentioned that our cat appeared to have a condition that was very treatable, as well as mentioning he ate like a horse and was being the sweetest lil guy. Very reassuring. As with all vets, they are not cheap, but they are reasonable and give very detailed estimates prior to doing the exams. They also give military and senior discounts (10%), and take Care Credit and Scratchpay. We are very impressed with Veterinary Emergency Group. Definitely recommend. read more

Our 110lb Mastiff passed after 7pm in early February. Sable was 11yrs old. We stayed on the floor with her for some time after she was gone and realized that we couldn't move her. We are senior citizens and couldn't lift her and only had a small rental car that doesn't allow pets. By this time, she was becoming unpleasent to have in the living room. My Veterinarian office wasn't able to help other than to offer suggestions of others who might help. It took about an hour following suggestion after suggestion that led me to VEG Lynnwood. It's not their usual procedure, but three wonderful ladies came and took Sable to a group cremation and sent use a paw print. We were so thankful that someone cared enough to help us in this emotional and dire situation! read more

Still livid about my experience here. The night that my cat had suddenly collapsed, I was in search of a 24/7 pet hospital. This being one of the few closest to me, I had no time to react but pick the closest one, this emergency hospital. When I went in to get my cat taken care of, they were quick to take action. However what bothered me the most was that urgency lasted for only awhile, and after awhile of giving my cat cpr I heard the people treating my cat laughing. Actually laughing. I don't know what about since I was bawling my eyes out hoping to God they can somehow save him. But as I'm praying, the people I'm counting on to help my cat were LAUGHING. And I know they saw me notice them because They realized they had laughed too loud and looked at me when silence fell. I already knew they stopped trying and was just waiting for me to tell them to stop. After the fourth round of cpr they basically already gave up and told me it's best to just let him rest. We went in for a good 20-30 min to be told our cat was basically dead and took nearly an hour and a half to get what we needed and leave the building. At least some pet hospitals lets others know an owner just lost a pet via a sign or some led candle light, but as I'm saying goodbye to my cat all I hear is laughing outside of the room they put me in to say goodbye to my cat. So basically they were laughing while treating my cat and while I was saying goodbye to him. Everyone, including the people in the waiting area, watched me experience losing my bestest friend, at least read the room and maybe have some decency? This could all very well stem from losing my cat, but I definitely think the people here need to work on some emotional training because that was the worst experience ever when losing a pet. Edit: i see they only respond to positive reviews. Take that as a hint, they dont care about you, just your money. read more

I had to bring my baby Teddy there on Wednesday night, he was in lots of pain, and a bit of a spicy boy around strangers. The entire staff was great, they were so comforting, allowed us to stay with Teddy, explained all the medical issues in terms we could understand and even offered options for his short term/long term prognosis and end of life options. If any of the other pets we have are sick we will definitely use only them. I am not happy with the care at the previous vets, if I would have used Veg first the outcome might have been different. read more

This place is the best emergency clinic I have ever been to. Our dog, Baxter, had a foot injury late at night and we couldn't not get into any emergency clinic because they didn't have staff or they didn't have "capacity". I cannot say enough good things about this place. The Lynnwood clinic opened in January 2024. We saw a doctor within one minute of going through front doors. The care was compassionate and loving. They not only took care of Baxter but they took care of us. The woman (Jayla?) who answered phone and took care of us that night was amazing. Dr. Thomas and the other doctor, and vet techs were amazing. I highly recommend them. WOW! read more

This was a very unique but POSITIVE experience and considering the fact you're bringing your beloved family member into a clinic for emergency services, it far exceeded my expectations. If you have to take your pet into an emergency clinic, this is the place. They take excellent care of your pet and excellent care of you. The vibe inside is very positive. The doctors are very approachable and relatable. I think this has to be a brand new concept and it's long overdue. I was thrilled with the cost of my visit ($1,000 ish) as I have paid triple this amount to other big emergency hospitals that won't do the intake until they charge you a big fat deposit of several thousand dollars. I was sent an estimate of cost after my cat was assessed and I was able to review it and accept it and make payment immediately on my phone. This place is amazing and I'm so relieved I now have an emergency hospital option that I feel very good about. My 15-year-old Maine coon mix has a UTI and some other things, but he had a complete blood work up and urine analysis and sonogram and was given antibiotics and subcutaneous fluids and some other things to support him. He was perked up very much when we got home and I am hopeful that he resumes eating and drinking and we get rid of this infection. I was so impressed that they have areas for the humans to rest and sleep if needed, the bathroom has toothbrushes, floss and wipes for your face so you can freshen up if you have a longer stay. And I was asked a number of times if they could get me anything to eat or drink... It's simple options like water, tea, coffee and chips or granola bar kind of thing but it's something and it makes a big difference when you rushed from your house to take your sick cat to the ER and you skipped your own dinner. Very very grateful to have this alternative, which is now my #1 go to and I cannot recommend it highly enough. read more

Could not recommend these kind group of medical professionals enough. My dog managed to rip out all of his stitches the night I brought him home from surgery, and I woke up in the early hours of the next morning to discover what had happened. I called my first Google search result who was immensely unhelpful and ended up calling VEG for a second opinion. They were kind, thoughtful and SO helpful on the phone. I ended up bringing my pup in and they cleaned the wound, allayed my fears and got him all fitted for a new e collar and applied some liquid stitches. Their kindness brought me to tears on the way home. Dr Abby (and everyone else working) were Clyde and I's heroes this morning. read more

My cat ate something toxic. The vets and staff at this clinic were all fabulous. It's a very different setup where to can be present for all procedures and could even spend the night if you wish. They took great care of my boy over 48 hours. The cost and payment upfront is typical of emergency clinics, but the approach is unique and, I think, better. I don't know where to start with the amount of positive feedback I have for VEG. It was the biggest blessing that we found them after our dog was brutally attacked by another dog. Jayla answered the phone while I was panicking and stayed with on the phone with me until we arrived, she was my angel and helped me keep it together for hours while we were in the depth of the unknown. Karrena and Dr. Munday kept us informed for hours as they cared for Jax and eventually got him into surgery and saved his life. Every single person here (I wish I could remember all their names) was kind, compassionate and phenomenal at their jobs. These fantastic humans took the worst day of our lives and brought light to it.
