The Watershed Hotel was the perfect spot! Our stylish, immaculate room overlooked the Sheboygan River. The hotel itself is modern, elegant, and spotless with an airy lobby where a continental breakfast is available each morning. The hotel staff--led by GM Bailey--is friendly and helpful. Sheboygan's not large and the Watershed is just a few minutes from the town's historical downtown. We're looking forward to returning to Sheboygan and another stay at the WH!

At all. The room itself was ok. No tissues, no phone, one single deadbolt lock. The worst was the layout of the step-in shower. In a bold move the designers thought it was a good idea to have just one side of the shower door open so when you turn on the water you can't help but get soaked. Even if you hold the detachable shower head you have to let it go at some point so you can get out and let the water warm up. When you do, it flies around like a garden hose. I got soaked. Ridiculous. I checked out a day early. I was out of patience. Even at $120/night. I'll pass next time.

It's 2 am and I just had to get up and write this review because I have been rolling around and feeling like I am trying to sleep in a damn canoe They are cheap beds and because of this my son and I could not sleep. It's those kind of beds where you feel the edge of the bed dip as if it feels uneven, you know where you feel it's not level and tipping down at an angle on its sides. It's one of those beds where it's not only stiff and shaky but because it's so stiff, your head tilts up on your pillow because thee is no give in the bed. It's like putting a pillow on Fred Flintstone's bed only it shakes and feels uneven. He had an 8am soccer game for a big tournament and we could not sleep on these cheap ass beds. Not cool when you come to a hotel and the most important function when you are away from home is sleep and you can't get any. This is piss poor execution and taking shortcuts on their furniture. Pisses me off coming here..

The bartender who was working the bar side came to take my drink order when she noticed the dining room bartender was busy. I haven't had an OF in years but she made a great one. My friend & I both ordered hand breaded perch for dinner & Nikki told us to help ourselves to the salad bar. Oh my! How many days had they put out the lettuce mix & other salads?? The lettuce was very limp & wilty. The macaroni & pea salad just tasted "off" and the fluff salad had no taste at all. After that, I was grateful I didn't try any other salads items. Thankfully our fish came out and it was delicious! The breading was crunchy & served very hot. Fries & broasted potatoes were good also. My suggestion is to offer a traditional perch dinner with potato, rye bread, and cole slaw like most other area restaurants. If this had been offered I'd have been very happy with Al & Al's, but that salad bar was such an unappetizing turn off that we won't return for a good while.

Some of the biggest pros for me is their internet is fast (even during peak hours), their afternoon socials with cheese spreads and drinks is one of the best I've seen at and Holiday Inn, and they have updated facilities. But there are some things that drive me a little nuts and are the reasons why I don't just give a top 5 rating. One is the room with no closet, which I ended up getting... I stay 5 days at a time so it would have been nice if the staff noticed the longevity of my stay and set me up with a more accommodating room. Another thing is if your the unfortunate sap who gets stuck on the first floor than be prepared to share your first floor view with anyone walking by outside, as their "black out" curtains are either broken or they don't stay together very well. And the last thing that kinda goes along with getting a lower floor is the ability to hear the person above you walking around. I swear there was a marching band above my room every morning heralding in the new day at the blistering hour of 6am. For these reason I believe this hotel fall in the four star range. All and all I really do believe the staff care about their jobs and the condition of their hotel, which is why I continue to come back.
