Came here for a quick weekday lunch: we had a reservation but didn't need it as the place was mostly empty at 2pm. I ordered the chicken parm panini, and it was pretty good. The chicken was flavorful and it had the right amount of cheese, sauce, and bread. The fries that it came with were pretty bland, but tasted fresh. Overall this is a pretty average Italian restaurant, but nothing really blew my mind. The service was good, and the prices are reasonable.

Had some pretty impressive Italian food for not as much as expected. It has the higher quality of upscale with much better prices. Via Carducci La Sorella is even a Wicker Park restaurant. Could have been a serious ripoff and one would have blinked. The menu is full of classics as well as some things that are more for modern tastes. Found out about it while we were looking for classic Italian but affordable. It's certainly got quite a few pricy things here but we found some things on the menu that would be chill. The menu has a surprising variety in prices. A lot of wines to choose from. It's $9 a glass for a few of these. Actually great. The one we got was the Masseria Li Veli Primitivo IGT. As for the food it can be hard finding vegan options but they have a few. It's about $15 for a panini. The one I got was the Vegetariano. Has a lot. This is made with eggplant, mushrooms, onions, red peppers, tomatoes, and zucchini. Choose balsamic and extra virgin olive oil, or pesto. This is served on ciabatta, which is fluffy and warm. Filling enough. It's about $18 for pasta. After looking through all these she got the Spaghetti Alla Napoletana. This was pretty typical looking for a pasta. Great selection for those wanting something Italian but giving them lots of choices. It's recommended to get a reservation for groups. This is located on Division close to the Blue Line station.

Long overdue review. This is a smaller restaurant, so we were a bit squeezed, but they accommodated my big party of 13 ppl for my birthday. Some of the best service around, the owner engaged with us quite a bit, and there was lovely homey feel to the atmosphere. Our food was delicious. I got the lobster pasta, and it was great. Overall, the price for the amount of food we got was super reasonable. I was looking form somewhere with the old, classic, Italian charm, and this place hit the mark!

We were able to snag a last minute reservation but they were busy on a wintery Sunday evening! Place was packed inside so it was fairly loud and a bit difficult to navigate to our table without bumping other tables, but good atmosphere and overall fine once seated! Portions were huge so we all left with a second meal. Highlights were the meatball appetizer, the penne arrabiata (has a good kick to it), and the carbonara!

A very cute spot that we were able to get a reservation at during do division street fest. The ambiance is cozy and classic, and the patio is a great vibe too. We were immediately given some tasty bread- would've been so much better warmed up! But otherwise loved that this was complementary with different varieties. My spicy marg was delicious and refreshing. We got the ceasar salad to share, which was interestingly much more vinegar-y. The linguini con gamberi was a delicious dish with nice big juicy shrimp. The Brussels were tasty as well. The gnocchi with cream tomato sauce was great but would have been better with a spice or kick to it. Otherwise, portions were big and fitting for the price! We loved our complementary limoncello shots at the end too!

This was by far the best fettuccine alfredo I've ever had. The outdoor patio is the perfect spot for a late summer afternoon meal. Very friendly service from a fun authentic Italian restaurant.

Nice atmosphere; friendly staff; diverse menu. Limited wine by the glass selection. The veal with lemon, capers was very good. The Caesar salad was good. The calamari was not interesting. The sea bass dish was just okay. The tiramisu was very good. (Side note: both waiter and bus boy were very proud to tell me the tiramisu was homemade. Hmmm, I would expect that from a traditional old school Italian restaurant. Not sure why they thought that would impress me so much.) The in/out, wait for your table situation is very awkward on cold night.

Via Carducci did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The fact that the owners were present and hands-on gave the whole experience an authentic, family-run vibe that you just don't find everywhere. Our server, Isadoro, was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious -- the Chicken Parmesan, in particular, was perfectly crispy, tender, and smothered in the most flavorful sauce. The beet salad was so light, earthy and refreshing, and the filet mignon was cooked to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth good. We'll 100% be back to explore more of the menu, especially the pasta! So glad we finally tried this gem -- highly recommend!

Very nice Italian restaurant with super friendly staff and delicious food! Their warm homemade focaccia is incredible, pasta is perfect aldente and they have Fanta choice of salad. Also there is quite big patio to enjoy nice weather. Would have given more than 5 stars if I could!

Our favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant! Via Carducci had a very intimate atmosphere and is perfect for a date night. The staff is so friendly and the owner is always so thoughtful. They go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is exceptional. The food is always top notch! I love their bruschetta and my favorite pasta dish is their pesto Genovese. Instead of chicken, I add mushrooms. I've yet to order something I didn't love and always look forward to my next visit. They also have a fantastic wine list and cocktail menu!

I walked from the Blue Line and felt extremely safe. It's in such a pretty part of town. There are plenty of seating spaces both inside and outside. When you arrive, you find a table you like and then go up to the counter to order. They have QR codes everywhere so you can see the menu online. If you like natural wines this is the place for you. The people who work here are absolutely incredible. I came straight from the airport so had my suitcase and one of the bartenders offered to take my bag to the back which I adored. My friend also took a really long time to get there from work so I just hung out for a while and they didn't make me feel too weird about it. One of them even gave me a generous pour of the wine I got. I also ordered us a meat and cheese board which was simple, but nice. Do know that the prices are a bit high here. If you want to get a full bottle of wine the average price is about $60 for a bottle. The aesthetics of this bar are A+. It is really loud inside. The name says it all, you will be using outside voices. While we adored this place, the music was a bit loud so it was a little hard to catch up. That being said, we made the most of it. It also was the spot that I asked her to be my bridesmaid so it'll forever have a special place in my heart. If you're looking for a cute and trendy place, with fun music blasting, and a great vibe, this is it. I highly recommend Outside Voices.

Our waiter at Le Mistral was very friendly, gave some good advice on the cocktails, and was consistently attentive. My cocktail was just OK - sherry-based martini. I don't normally like a martini but all the ingredients actually seemed very much up my alley - the sherry, benedictine, rose vermouth. But the olive just overpowered. And definitely not worth the price of $24... Would definitely return and try the food next time as well.

I don't know if every Monday is Metal night, but it was that Monday - Black Sabbath, Nu-Metal, everything but the live goldfish. Perhaps they should advertise "Monday Metal at Mistral" if that is to be a regular thing. It does flow off the tongue. To be fair, there was a full house and the other patrons did not seem to mind. We were not looking to feel the noize, however, and so stayed for just one cocktail. Mine was a Sazerac adjacent mix, and it was very high quality. The decor is very low light, but the vibe is pretty basic - more Paint Your Dorm Room black than Parisian Opium Den black. A bit of a missed opportunity for romance.
