This place has wonderful food and friendly service and timely fashion food delivered to table. Good place to go and will go again.

Went here for a business lunch. Their definition of spicy is different than mine, but the service was decent and their chicken was great. Still, there's a lot better Tex-Mex in the immediate area. If you need ambiance and a menu that doesn't have cents listed, by all means go. But I don't, so I'd much rather go to La Mexicana y el Gringo or La Margarita for better food, cheaper. read more

Lunch meeting and first time at this restaurant (Suggested by colleague). EXCELLENT service, from valet to hostess to server to busboys! Salsa was very good: tomato puree with nice piquant flavor. Ordered salmon fish tacos served on corn tortillas (I would have preferred flour). Salmon had a wonderful grilled flavor with a delicious glaze. read more

We go alot for work functions to Via Real and the food is always good, hence the 4 stars. There service is very good but I do have one complaint....I go alot with a VIP member (no clue what it means) and they definitely cater to her but they make those that are not VIP feel like dirt. read more

Amazing atmosphere, salsa/chips are very good. Service is top notch with emphasis on taking full care of you during your dining experience. Margaritas are big and potent, none of that sweet & sour mix junk but made fresh. Food is unique and fantastic with classic favorites and some interesting twists. This is the place you go to celebrate something or go on a first date to really impress. It it is a bit pricey but the value for what you get makes it worth it. Came here for a dept. lunch...waiter was efficient but a little aggressive. The appetizers were nice, salsa and guacamole...the best thing ever is the CARROT CAKE! The food is great, but the carrot cake is the best! Very nice upscale Tex-Mex restaurant! read more

It was my first time there, and I felt immediately welcomed when I walked in. The staff was very friendly. We were seated in a private little area, which was nice and quiet. Our waiter was fantastic, polite, and very knowledgeable. I actually ordered my meal based on his recommendation and I LOVED it! It was the tacos de res, and it was absolutely delicious. I recommend ordering one of their margaritas too. The restaurant is beautiful inside and very classy. Overall, I was very impressed! Ambience and setup is really classy and good. We ordered top shelf margarita and they are good. I ordered crab cake after checking with the waiter multiple times to make sure it is not mushy. Finally got the crab cake, it was mushy and salty, I mentioned the waiter about the same and he just took my plate away, did not try to offer a new one or remove that from my bill. The boss took us here to try something new for lunch. We all ordered the lunch special and it was really tasty. The service staff also did well, making sure they kept our drinks full. The ambiance was nice and it wasn't loud, which is nice since we sat by the entrance. I'll go back for dinner sometime if someone is interested. read more

I've been here a handful of times over the years. This is a great special event location, or an impromptu happy hour location. The food is very good, especially the tex-mex. While you can spend quite a bit, you can keep costs down also. The chips and salsa may be THE BEST in the DFW metroplex, and there's fierce competition in my book, I assure you. Brought four of us with 2 teenagers and was able to get right in and seated. Was greeted warmly and wait staff was very attentive. Ordered top shelf Margaritas which were outstanding. I didn't realize it at the time but the waiter cleverly upsold me on the 'special' Margarita and turns out they were 14.00 each. Althought they were very good that was my only slight regret. Outside of that food was prompt, hot and very good. I had the Chicken Cilantro which was a nice pairing with perfectly cooked beans, broccoli, and Zucchini. Others had the enchiladas and fajitas which at the end of the meal there were nothing but empty plates and all smiles. So I'm definitely comming back and a warm thank you to the chef and owner. Went there for the first this past Sunday for brunch it was pretty awesome! The food was really good surprisingly for a buffet brunch. The only thing that they need to fix their syrup dispenser. But it was really good and included mimosas! I will come back again! read more

We had a wonderful experience here. The food was incredible and the service makes you wish every dining experience was this good. There was a lot of background noise and the server took the order wrong (2 instead of 3 items) so when we brought it to their attention, they immediately fixed it and a manager brought it out himself. Not a big fan. Being next to the 4 season's i would of expected more if they are pulling customers from there. Service has many details to work out. It would be nice if they would at least remember who ordered what. Cant believe all they have re coffee is flavored coffee. Creme brulee was not set up at all. It was like a very thin wet pudding. I just hear how many people just love this "fine" dining establishment in Irving, i just dont see it in the details. People seem to like the margaritas but i dont care for a very sour/tart margarita that the bartender made. They have been around for a long time and i am sure do a great business, there are just many places to improve. I personally would prefer to spend my fine dining dollars elsewhere. read more

Was expecting great things after reading all the reviews. Unfortunately, the food and service were poor and I can't believe this place is getting good reviews. Here are specifics: Ceviche - terrible. Tasted very fishy and other flavors were unappetizing I am a big ceviche fan and this is the worst I can remember having. Queso appetizer - good but way too small for the price Fajitas - poor and bland. Was not very hot when I got it and the only thing accompanying it was a small bowl with some sour cream and a little bit of pico do gallo. Dinner companion had some chicken dish that was bland and forgetable. The service was intrusive, but then absent when we needed them, There are much better restaurants and this one is overpriced in addition to the food being sub-par. read more
