I love this little place. Especially for breakfast or brunch. The pancakes are just excellent, as are the omelettes and pretty much everything else I have tried. My favorite is the "eye opener" complete with Italian toast. Just good soul food. While on vacation in Lewiston, my girlfriend and I stopped in for breakfast. I ordered the pizza omelet, with toast and coffee. I had never heard of the combination, but it was pretty tasty! I've only been here for breakfast and come here every time I go fishing with Frank Campbell or Ted Kessler on the Niagara River and it's always perfect. The breakfast is excellent, comes out quick and always the way you order it. You'll leave full, satisfied and wanting to come back. I haven't had lunch here, but it's a breakfast spot I've been frequenting for a decade, two days in a row, every other year. The consistency never changes. Ok this review will cover their breakfast offerings. It's a great place to go for breakfast. As in, you will leave there smelling like greasy bacon and butter and that's a good thing! I always go for the mixed eggs. A full order is pretty much too much good, especially if you pile on the ingredients. Since under new management, the place was painted and it really helps out. It's small, so the white and yellow paint really helps you feel less crowded. Given the other breakfast options in Lewiston, this is your best bet. Does not belong in Lewiston, more of a backwoods place. Servers not friendly. Worst processed potatoes I have ever had, no ketchup offered to cover them up. My dog eats better than those potatoes. Bathroom only accommodates a small individual. Probably have no been updated in 40 years? I will not return, even though the eggs and toast were good. read more

Like many reviewers here, my buddy also raved about the mixed breakfast. i had soft boiled (poached actually) eggs and the HOMEMADE corned beef hash and italian bread toast all of which were spot on. we also split one pancake as an "appetizer" and it was just the (very different) way i love them - THIN with edges looking like lace with a hint of crispness on the ends. Went in for brunch this morning and was disappointed. Food is nothing special and the service was very slow. There are less than 10 tables in the whole place and we still waited around 40 minutes for our food, and the waiter didn't come back after he delivered it. Won't be coming back. read more

Really cute diner in Lewiston with great breakfast. We weren't locals but I still felt welcome and it is a pretty cozy restaurant. The staff is really friendly and they have quick service. Very disappointed. While I understand that you may have been short staffed, that is managements fault, not the patron's fault. When sitting at the counter and watching people who came is after us get served first, and a 45 minute wait for food, you could at least apologize for the delay.
