    Chicken Mauricio
    Manny B.

A culinary institution in the Hampton Bays. My go to place for consistently great Italian fare. The food is always fresh and hot. The chicken Mauricio is my fave- don't know who he is but it's a tasty dish! Never a bad meal here.

We had another great dining event at V P. Last bought (2/13/21). We were greeted with a smile by the manager upon arrival and were taken to a lovely table in the corner of the dining room. The crowd was a nice side, but the tables spaced out very well. Social distancing and staff with masks and gloves were evident. Our waiter Miguel and busperson Saoulda (I hope I got the spelling correct) took extremely great care of our table. Saoulda made sure that the bread and butter stayed full and the table ckean. Miguel started us off with drinks, espresso martinis, beer all were perfect. We ordered our appetizers (fried calamari and a seafood mac n cheese with shrimp, dinner portion). The appetizers were delicious. The fried calamari were light and tender with a side of tomatoe sauce for dipping. The mac n cheese was a big hit too, nice and creamy with an aldente texture with a crispness from baking. (My mouth's watering) For dinner, we ordered chicken florentine, ravioli, and 2 roast ducks. The roast duck was a beautiful portion, the skin was a nice crispness, the meat very moist and tender, full of flavor topped with a nice cherry and wine (best guess) reduction. The duck , as always at Villa Paul, was perfect. The chicken was delicious as well as the ravioli. Dessert was also amazing, I do not remember what was ordered, I know a toasted almond joy dessert was ordered and delicious, I had a single shot espresso. All in all, dinner, nor the service has ever failed us at V.P. It is always a nice treat to go to and we should go more often. Total cost for dinner was $245 for 4. Tip was extra and I am generous :) !

They…read morewere actually very good tasting but I found it a little hard to eat, they kept breaking but they're nachos I guess. Onto my meal, I got the filet taco, boom shrimp taco, and the hot honey chicken. They were all so delicious and yummy, I can tell they took their time creating each taco into a masterpiece. I loved the boom shrimp the most, then the hot honey, and then the filet taco the least, but all of these were so delicious I loved it! The boom shrimp is a delicious trip into the savory tastes of shrimp and the sea. I loved the addition of tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and avocados, drizzled in ranch. The filet taco is a great feast of filet steak and crispy crunchy onions. Lastly the hot honey chicken was great with purple lettuce, corn, pickles, and more fresh delicious veggies. I loved all the tacos so much and if I come back to the area I'd definitely come back, a must go to! Service/ambiance: First off the waiters came to us quickly with a nice refreshing water pitcher with lemons. It was a nice day out but not too hot, inside was nice and cool with the ac but not too cold, a nice balance. Not too loud of a place but nice and chill with a light speaker with music playing in the background. This in my opinion is a huge upgrade to the last location in Northport, this is much bigger and it looks cleaner. Something that stood out to me was that there was no men's sign on the bathroom, but there was on the ladies. I don't know if they're discriminated or something, but that was something, but besides that the bathrooms were very squeaky clean.

I would recommend the corn agnolotti, fish and chips, baked clams, and oysters Rockefeller. The tuna tartare was decently sized but lacking a bit in flavor. Service has not been great when I've been here. They have a young staff that seem frequently annoyed, and unfortunately our food took a very long time to come the last time I was here. I would still recommend it, just be prepared to have a chill, long dinner!

Last night I was driving back to the city and decided to check it out. I drove down the long road flanked by sand dunes. The sunset was simply beautiful. There was very little traffic and I made it to the restaurant easily. Once there I was greeted by a friendly young girl at the door. The place was pretty packed but I was able to get a table by the water with a view of the bay and marina. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The food arrived hot and nicely arranged. The main entree I selected was the "Long Island Monkfish" for 34$. The price was more than expected for the quantity of food and they should have included some bread - very much needed with the spicy vinaigrette. The monkfish was absolutely delicious! The leeks and gnocchi went perfectly with the fish. I read online that the Branzino is really good here. I really wanted to try the Branzino but they ran out of it. Before I left, I went to the restroom. They have two stalls so there was a bit of wait. The main area is open with sinks, soap and a Dyson dryer - no paper towels. The stalls are clean with ample space. While waiting, I chatted with the other people who had been to the Rose wine soirée earlier. They said it was great - unlimited rose wine plus appetizers at the beginning, including lobster rolls. Tickets were 60$ all inclusive. They had a DJ and small outdoor dance floor and it was almost all women. That's not a surprise - rose wine events tend to attract more women than men. I'm not sure why, maybe because rose wine is pink or the invite appeals more to a female audience.
