Vin-Chet is a gluten free bakery that makes breads, rolls, pizza dough, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, muffins, and more! I recently visited during their customer appreciation event and got to try several items. I loved their ginger molasses cookies, cupcake with peanut butter and jelly frosting, and coffee cake. I got 2 lemon poppy seed muffins and 2 orange cranberry muffins and they were huge AND delicious! The bakery also sells a few packaged items not made by them. Overall I was really impressed with the variety of baked goods in their case and the quality of everything I tried. Highly recommend!

Couldn't even peel the cookies apart .

Vin Chet's Gluten Free bakery is absolutely bonkers to me these days. I used to get goods from there back when my gluten free journey started about 12 years ago, and now I wouldn't bother for a single thing. I'm disgusted and disappointed in how their product quality has practically diminished completely; Crumby and solid cupcakes ( Good luck biting into them ) , and rubbery cookies? I've baked independently for YEARS, gluten free and gluten containing, and I can't wrap my head around how they achieved this consistency. Never again. The real kicker, after spending the $30 for these two things, & saying something to them about it, there's nothing they can do? We will definitely NOT be going back - They didn't even offer anything to replace it or swap it for anything else.

Have been getting food here for years! Thanks to my in-laws traveling through Buffalo. Finally got to come myself! Although everything is good. My favorite are the muffins and hot sandwhiches all gluten free of course! I would though like to see more options without Red 40. Kids with gluten allergies seem to be more sensitive to artifical colora

In the past I had signed up for text alerts and emails from Vin-Chet. Recently, I received a text alert that their freezer bread was on sale for $5 a loaf throughout the month of December. That is quite a deal. I stopped in on a Saturday morning and there were many items to choose from. I ended up getting two white breads, I wanted their cottage, but unfortunately they didn't have it in the freezer, a cinnamon raisin loaf, a black and white cookie and a peanut donut for $20. I have had the bread before and you can't taste that it is gluten free, which I like. The black and white cookie I had a day later and it was moist and delicious. The peanut donut I had that day and it was delicious. I would definitely get the donut again, and maybe try some other flavors, but I do really enjoy a peanut donut. Don't forget to sign up for their reward system because you can collect points for free items.

The almond square reminded me a bit of an almond ring, with almond paste filling layered inside a flaky, tender, buttery pastry. It had that rich almond flavor without being overly sweet, and the texture was spot on. The pistachio snack cake was soft, moist, and delicately nutty--simple but really satisfying. Almost teacake-like. The cranberry orange scone brought a nice contrast with bright citrus flavor and tart cranberries throughout. It had a great crumb and just the right balance of sweetness and tang. Loved the dried orange pieces. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. Definitely a spot worth stopping by if you're in the mood for excellent pastries!

My only suggestion would be to please separate the bagels a little better! An onion from an everything bagel somehow found its way onto my cinnamon raisin bagel. Little did I know I'd be coming into my favorite type of literally "everything"! Eclectic and vintage decor with absolutely perfect use of vintage and antique kitchen and table ware. A very interesting and fun repurposing of an old building/house. Very friendly, patient and helpful employees (apologies to the very kind woman at the counter, because when I'm excited I tend to chatter a lot). The baked goods were delicious, the whole grain toast was hearty and so full of flavor. The croissant was large, flaky and buttery. My husband's apple cake was moist and the frosting was perfect. I really enjoyed the coffee and since they don't grind the beans for you, I bought the bag of their signature blend then stopped at Walmart for a coffee bean grinder. I love savory for breakfast so I had 2 soft boiled eggs, ham, gruyere cheese, whole grain toast and pesto. When my plate came I was very pleased to see the vintage items used and some repurposed very cleverly. If the decor isn't your "thing"...make a visit for their food and coffee.

Half of our group (was a total of four of us) enjoyed their food. The restaurant was clean and bathroom smelled very pleasant. Pricing was fair for what was enjoyed. The focaccia bread was the star of the show for me. My guests enjoyed the shrimp scampi, but felt the portion was small and the salmon was delicious. I did taste a piece of the salmon and was jealous as I can confirm it was delicious...wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked. Con's: The other half of our party did not enjoy the food. Unfortunately, I was in that bunch. It was quite surprising as the menu is not robust at all; so our thought was that the items that ARE on the menu must be a delicious specialty. I had the pork chops with pasta and spinach. The pork chop was tough and the pasta was bland. The sauce that accompanied the meal was tasty and moved the overall meal from a 'no', to an 'ok'.
