I can't say enough about my experience this past weekend at OZ Tattoo!! Walked in off the street with my friends and were instantly greeted and made to feel comfortable and welcomed!! So many places can give off an ick vibe especially for 3 girls. Every single person in this shop went out of their way to make us feel safe and at ease!! They not only did an absolute amazing job on our tattoos but I think we laughed and had amazing conversations the entire time we were there!!! John and Pedro did our tattoos but Sean was checking in on all of us the whole time making sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. This shop appears to be under new ownership: My friends and I walked in off the street at noon on a Friday and were greeted by 3 of the friendliest men I have ever had the pleasure to hang out with. We had a sheet of ideas of what we wanted and John did the first tattoo on my friend, Nicole, he made it his style and it suits her to a T. She loves the shading and the extra details like the white marks on the cheek which I'll fade into the cutest little lines. The cat is adorable. Pedro did mine and my friend Cait's tattoo. We loved his clean lines and light handed work. We left the bottom of my skateboard blank so that when my daughter becomes confident, and competent, she can tattoo some stickers on them for me. This tattoo is already healing better than my last three, and my friends didn't bleed at all and said theirs feel great too (I'm a bleeder, but it looks and feels great today). They are a new shop and I cannot recommend them enough. I will 100% be back and make the drive to Hollywood just for the vibes alone. Pricing was more reasonable than it should have been- I am thinking it's because they are so new, so schedule with them before they realize their worth, they were quick, clean, good company, and excellent artists. Got a new tattoo yesterday from a different shop and honestly, I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt totally comfortable -- no awkwardness at all. The artist had jokes the entire time and kept the vibe super chill and fun, which really helped calm any nerves. His pricing was more than fair, and for the quality of work I got, it honestly felt like a steal. He has a really light hand, so the tattooing process wasn't painful at all compared to others I've had. You can tell he really knows what he's doing and cares about making you feel good through the whole process. The only reason I keep coming back is for Ben. I'll follow him to whatever shop he's working at. He's a great artist!!! , I just got my 3rd tattoo from him and he pierced my septum as well. He's professional and knowledgeable, does a great job and makes me feel comfortable every time. Ben can draw and has great flash but also does custom designs. I've seen some other reviews that bad mouth him and that's disappointing. I don't believe it. He's always been awesome, kind, and diligent. Benny is the main guy out here. I went to several shops on Hollywood Blvd with my friend, we both wanted something to celebrate being besties 10yrs but were still bouncing ideas around (I admit it was super minute and we had been talking about the idea for all of that night!) Since we were out in Hollywood already we ventured into several Shops and were turned off by the overall "attitude" that seemed the norm amongst artists on the Blvd. Then we found Benny at Oz! He was beyond accommodating and got us set up right away! We told him of a few ideas we had and within 30 mins he was drawing us out something so much better then we went in anticipating! The whole time he communicated and was so fun yet professional and efficient. We had a great time and fully appreciated Benny making our girls night one to remember ! We went in one night for piercings and my friend got her nipples done. Not only did he not have her sign waivers or check her id before the piercing, he also massively messed up the piercings. They were both placed wrong and one was so lopsided, we had to go get them repaired elsewhere. Overall the piercer was nice but not at all professional. Not to make accusations but in hindsight he did not appear to be sober. There are other more reputable shops on the street, go there (at least for piercings their tattoo artists may be greatly not sure) read more

I got a tattoo here last Wednesday. I don't remember the name of the person who did it because I was black out drunk. If it weren't such a poorly executed piece, I might not be so angry, however.. the line work is AWFUL, and no I was not squirming around, my friend was there, she also heard me openly tell the artist several times that I was wasted and he continued to tattoo me. You wouldn't even wrap my tattoo after, leaving it even more vulnerable to infection. It is infected, surprised? I guess I signed a waiver, but that doesn't mean you're safe either according to all the research I just did. I have a pretty good case for gross negligence. I'm either going to have to spend hundreds on having this shit removed or find a better artist to fix your fucking mess. read more

When meeting the tattoo artist named Uri and checked through his work which looked pretty good but talking about what I wanted done, he convinced me to do something else that he was really interested in doing so I figured "what the hell let's see what you got". SO AWESOME! Uri gave me a walk-in tattoo of 6 separate stripes that made a rainbow. He was very professional and helpful throughout. He designed the tattoo on Illustrator first, and confirmed that the size, length and spacing was exactly what I wanted. He verified the colors of the rainbow with me and let me choose the hues I wanted, and paused throughout to check that I was handling the pain okay. He took painstaking detail to make sure that the lines are crisp and clean. It is healing beautifully just a week later, so much so that if I told someone these were lines of highlighter, they'd believe me!
