My absolute favorite restaurant in Cape May! Cannot miss! Great service, atmosphere and food!

Crab Benedict
Cara T.

This is one of the best brunches I have had in a long time! I love the restaurants in the Kara restaurant group and was excited to try Vintage out for the first time this weekend. It was the only spot we could find that had a reservation for 7. It is BYOB so be sure to bring champagne if you want mimosa! They have OJ. The menu is very unique and has a great mix of breakfast and brunch options. I had the crab benedict and it was perfection. It comes with a croissant base, crab, bacon. hollandaise, and a poached egg. I got it with no tomato. It was the perfect bite of food! So much flavor and texture! It came with a side salad and I really loved the dressing and sesame seeds. Every single person loved their meal! I can't wait to come back here to try their dinner menu... and to have brunch again!

Brunch!

We stopped here for their Sunday Brunch on our first full day on the Cape - very nice venue on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate. It was under a huge covered tent & we had a nice breeze blowing. Our server was very friendly & attentive throughout our dining experience. Drinks came quickly as did our entrees. I had a Panini & my Girlfriend had a Cheesecake Waffle - both were excellent! Pacing of our dining experience was perfect - felt like a very classy brunch. Would definitely visit again!

Super cute little restaurant in the back of the Carriage Inn- you can choose to sit outside or in their weatherproof tent. Our server was very polite and professional! He helped us choose our meals. My mom loved her salmon, it was rubbed in a small amount of Cajun (you can adjust amount). My fish was a fillet stuffed with crab, covered in hollandaise sauce.. delicious!! For our appetizer, we selected the spanakopita- this is one of the best ones I've had. It wasn't too dry and was packed with filling. The menu is small yet offers an extensive variety of dishes for any preference. The dessert menu was 4, vastly different yet all amazing-sounding desserts. We went for the chocolate cake layered with chocolate mousse in a chocolate ganache shell.. wow wow wow. The cake was moist and all the chocolates were super rich and flavorful. This would make a very nice date spot!

Pork and lamb were unbelievable!

Such a hidden gem! We have been coming to cape May for years and never stumbled upon it. We were reluctant to go due to limited reviews but so happy we did-fantastic food, service, and atmosphere! BYOB that does not dispapo

This was so fun. Made reservations for brunch for this past Friday. It is outside in an inclosed & heated tent. It was adorable. Our server was very helpful in choosing a wonderful meal that was more than enough for two to share. I recommend making reservations, because this really is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal with family and or friends.

Great brunch with pancake chaucuterie, bring your insulin and Lipitor. Food and service top notch, tent has a funky smell on a hot day, family place.

Butter over bacon, crab eggs Benedict, side of bacon

We stopped by Vintage BYOB for the most delicious, lovely outdoor dining experience this June in Cape May. Add this to your list for brunch this summer. The outdoor setting was so quaint and beautiful with tons of greenery, fresh air, & flowers. While you're there you can take a Cape May MAC trolley tour or tour of the estate too. Both of our meals, the Crab Egg's Benedict & Butter Upon Bacon (essentially eggs Benedict over bacon on a croissant), were absolutely delectable. My cappuccino was perfect. They also have iced coffee and other n/a drinks &, of course as the name describes, you can BYO champagne or wine. Our service was great and I'd definitely recommend this spot.

They honored our reservation and seated us five minutes early. They started us off with two pieces of their excellent focaccia. The pesto dip was better than the chili oil. The calamari app was excellent - tender rings, chunks of pork belly, shrimp, and a spicy tomato sauce. The artichoke app comprised two long stem hearts, with stems, and a Parmigiano topping. Good but not at the level of the calamari. Next up a composed mixed green salad with generous shaved Parmigiano. Complimentary! The thick slice of halibut was on point. Moist, perfectly cooked. Not an afterthought by any means. The 20 oz. Cowboy cut rib steak was tender and perfectly seasoned but maybe a degree or two past medium rare. The side of grilled vegetables was splendid. And another freebie -- dessert for two -- butter cakes with cream and chocolate crunch. Sort of like a deconstructed tiramisu. Also delicious. Service managed to be friendly and professional. A great experience and a solid value. The ambiance was modern steakhouse. Would have preferred some jazz on the playlist, but no complaints. I would definitely return.

My wife ordered the surf and turf, which included an 8-ounce filet and a 7-ounce lobster tail, while I went with the 22-ounce ribeye. Both steaks were cooked perfectly to our requested temperatures. Every meal also comes with a fresh salad and a complimentary dessert, which was a nice touch. Overall, everything was excellent. The only downside was the service, which wasn't as attentive as we had hoped. At times, it seemed like the staff was more focused on the soccer game playing on the televisions than on their tables. Despite that, we had a great dining experience and would definitely return.

Onto the food: oh my God, what can I say? It was spectacular. The Spanish octopus was extraordinary. The tuna appetizer was a beautiful blend of taste and textures. The buratta melted in your mouth. The pork loin was so tender and delicious and the portion so large that even though we were sharing it, we couldn't finish it. The other entrées, the pork chop and the Seabass looked delicious even though I didn't taste them. While the desserts looked amazing, we were too full to eat anymore. The menu was even better this time around too. We went for the prix fixe meal. We got: seared crab cake, yellow fin tuna poke, grilled octopus appetizer, rigatoni, Berkshire porkchop, strawberry panacotta, and dark chocolate tart. Everything was extraordinary. That grilled octopus was cooked to perfection. It was the perfect amount of charred without making the inside chewy in the slightest. The meat inside was still very tender. The yellow fin poke was an authentic dish with great portions. The entrees did not disappoint either. That rigatoni and the porkchop were both great main courses. The porkchop was easily my favorite dish of the night. Everything was perfect. The service was speedy, the food was delicious and in great portions. I would highly recommend visiting Grana.

Service by Mickey was wonderful. She was honest, helpful, attentive, let us set the pace, and made our visit great. On to the food. We began with a cucumber, gimlet, and a Hendrix martini. Both were delicious. For appetizers, we have the deviled eggs, Heirloom tomato and melon salad, and the unbelievably delicious Parker House rolls (4 for $8). The deviled eggs ($15) were some of the best we've had but come only three halves to an order (each topped differently, duck, lobster, Cherry). The salad ($20) was OK, but honestly a little bland. I don't think I would order it again. And I highly recommend the rolls and the eggs though. For entrées, my wife had the Cape May Scallops ($49) which were fantastic. I had the duck appetizer ($32) for my entrée. The sliced duck breast was more than enough and very tasty. My only complaint was it wasn't cooked medium rare as stated, it was cooked all the way to medium, which was only a little pink. Still it was delicious. We also shared a side, the special charred snap peas ($12) - very good! No room for dessert tonight.

I recently dined at the Ebbitt Room, and I have never had such a conflicting experience. While the…read morekitchen and bar are clearly talented, the service and management decisions completely ruined the evening. The Positives: I have to give credit where it is due as the food and drinks were genuinely great. We ordered the calamari, celery root soup, scallops, and the chicken breast. Everything came out delicious and perfectly prepared. The drinks were also a highlight specifically the pomegranate margarita and the winter sangria. The bartender clearly knows what they are doing. The Service: Absent and Unprofessional. Unfortunately, the night took a sharp turn regarding the service. Our waitress was virtually non existent. She spent the entire night chatting with another couple, barely sparing a moment for our table outside of taking the initial order. It got to the point where the bartender had to do the waitresses job. Our drinks were sitting on the bar for quite a while until the bartender finally walked them over to us, saying, "I just wanted to drop these off so they wouldn't sit out." Later, we watched the bartender go into the back and run food to the other couple, the very table our waitress was busy socializing with, telling them he, "just wanted to bring this out so it would still be hot." The bartender was acting more like a waiter than our actual server was. Sketchy Billing & Atmosphere: Things got even stranger when the check arrived. We noticed a $24 charge for a "cheeseburger"--an item that isn't even on the menu. We flagged down the waitress, and before we could even explain the issue, she immediately said, "Oh yes, you are right, there is an error, sorry about that." It was an incredibly odd reaction; she knew there was an error before we even vocalized what was wrong. To top it off, the dining room was absolutely freezing. When we asked why, the waitress claimed the heat was broken. However, upon visiting the restroom, the heat was pumping just fine. It felt deliberate--like a corner cutting measure to save money during the off-season rather than a genuine mechanical failure. Overall: Despite the food being delicious, the terrible service, the suspicious billing "error," and the uncomfortable temperature make this a place I cannot recommend. For the price point, you expect a certain level of professionalism and comfort, and Ebbitt Room failed on both counts. I will not be returning.

The beer selection is always impressive, with plenty of options to satisfy just about every taste. Service can be hit or miss depending on when you visit and who's working, but that's often the case at busy shore destinations. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a popular shore restaurant. And yes, if you know about the bathroom situation, you know--it really deserves a permanent fix rather than another temporary patch. The menu offers something for everyone. The pizzas are consistently good, the bar food delivers exactly what you'd expect, and there are several signature dishes that are always reliable and full of flavor.
