Very good addition to the Cape May dining scene. Highly recommended for adults, we did not bring kids. All of the appetizers we ordered were exceptional - ensure you get one each and taste the Greek-inspired flavors. Entrees meats/seafood all very well prepared but the sides felt a bit uninspired. Deserts were overly large - suggest you split with your dining partners. If the owners are reading this, the tables could do with an upgrade- very wobbly wicker furniture under the table cloths. I'm going to assume based on the other reviews we caught them on an off night, but overall it was really bad. Service: Our server was the highlight of the experience, she was really genuine and helpful. Any service issues seemed caused by the kitchen. Food: I think they should maybe be embarrassed? I really don't believe that a good restaurant should have an off night this bad. We waited about 30 minutes for one appetizer (a four slice flatbread). It was ok to good. Then we waited another 30-ish minutes for our entrees for a party of 4. Our reservation was at 8pm, we sat at 8, orders we're all in by 8:15ish- we didn't touch our entrees until 9:20. And then after all that wait and patience; the food was so underwhelming. We got the crab cakes, the filet, the pork and the hangar steak. Best things were the hangar steak itself and the broccollini on the pork dish. Crab cakes were reasonably good. Everything else was really terrible. The filet was hands down the worst filet I've ever had. It was so dry and flavorless it bordered saw dust texture. It looked beautiful; and then that was the extent of it. Better filet at Outback Steakhouse. No I'm not being hyperbolic. Almost every side was horrible. The potatoes were ungodly dry and unseasoned. The rice was like mush. Like I can microwave better rice. The carrots and zucchini were also overdone and bland. Idk how else to explain it but this food tasted old and tired. To be fair the kitchen/Server offered to bring me something else, but at that point it was so late I just wanted to be done with it. The server was kind enough to give us her employee discount of 15% off the total bill. I really appreciated that gesture. But when all was said and done we still paid $160 for an astonishingly bad meal. A huge disappointment, and In my opinion, an embarrassment to the restaurant group. read more

Amazing location. Service was wonderful. Unfortunately the food was mostly a miss. First course was fairly strong- only to set you up for disappointment. Do not order the wild boar sauce. I will be nice and not detail how bad this dish is. I wish I had read the previous review on here. Had also ordered the Cesar salad with blackened shrimp. I received soggy bowl of lettuce in a dressing that did not resemble Cesar and cold shrimp that did nothing for the dish. So disappointing. The watermelon salad I will say was delightful. We did end up with the pork ribeye as a replacement and it was a much better dish. There is some potential here. Management needs to rethink their menu and maybe listen to some feedback. read more

My family and I made reservations for Sunday brunch this weekend. The outside heated space was perfect for the cold, rainy weather. The service was prompt and enjoyable. The food was delectable. We shared the pancake charcuterie board & the poached egg avocado toast. We were not expecting much and we were soooo happy with our dining experience at Vintage. There were 4 adults & 2 children and each of us had a delicious meal. We all had the Watermelon, feta & tomato appetizer which was a very nice blend of flavors. Two of us had the filet which was larger than described & cooked to perfection. I had the pork filet with pineapple Demi- oh WOW. One of us had the scallops that were paired with wonderful accompaniments. Be sure to save room for their delicious desserts!!! We are there last night and it was excellent! We were next to a loud, larger party and the waitress asked if we wanted to move to a different table, and we did. They were also very accommodating to my gluten free needs. We split the mozzarella De Parma as an appetizer and it was so good. My wife got the crab cakes and I got the pork tenderloin. Both were cooked perfectly and the sides were even cooked perfectly. We will definitely return when we come back to Cape May. It was also very reasonably priced for fine dining, less than $80 for app and 2 scrumptious meals. read more

Nice intimate outside dining spot. We felt very comfortable during these times of Covid. Our waitress Sara was wonderful. Upon seating us she immediately informed us she will put additional candles out and is getting us bug spray since it had just rained and was starting to get buggy. The food was great and Sara's recommendations didn't disappoint. We had the halibut crudo and mozz/prosciutto app, tuna and pork entrees and belgian waffle dessert. While eating, a quick rain storm came through twice. She was right there making sure we were ok. We happened to be seated under an umbrella so we didn't skip a beat while it passed through. I had high hopes for this restaurant when I booked an 18 person wedding rehearsal dinner 7 weeks ahead. It was not professional for the manager to take my reservation and then casually call me 2 weeks before the wedding to tell me that he "forgot" but someone booked the whole restaurant for our date so he had to cancel us! After frantically calling around for a restaurant that could take 18 people seated outside on a Saturday, there was only one halfway decent one in all of Cape May that had the space! What a great new restaurant. With Cov19 we ate outside in a big tent that had tables well spaced. The setting is farm like and very pretty. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the experience. Service was attentive but not overwhelming. The food was particularly good. I had the pork ribeye which was spectacular!! Was waiting until fall when the crowds died down to try Vintage. My husband and I were sorely disappointed. I ordered the sea bass. It was underdone, and tasted so fishy that I couldn't eat it. The squash that came with it was over cooked and soggy. My husband ordered the chicken and got a plate of potatoes and soggy squash with a single dry chicken thigh. Great place. In a tent lit with string lights, next to a lovely garden, if you sat on that side of the tent or in the garden, you could gaze into that scenery all dinner. Peaceful. Our server, Sara was so sweet and helpful. She was always right there when needed. We got the lamb rack appetizer and halibut crudo. The lamb rack pieces were succulent and rare. The halibut ceviche was served with slices of jalapeno. I think I was expecting something else, but it was well presented and fairly good. I ordered the crab cake. Lump crab, with a crispy shell, fried or broiled or something... hollandaise was on the verge of breaking, but not quite. the shiitakes were perfectly paired with the dish, and lent an earthy savory anchor to the rest of the dish. Hubs got the pork rib eye. Juicy and tender. The little girl has a big bowl of plain pappardelle. Perfectly cooked al dente. They have the full range of coffees for dessert. My husband was happy with a red eye. We got the dark side of the moon and the hazelnut affogato. Dark side of the moon was luscious, balanced on the side of not too sweet, and delicious and this comes from someone who doesn't prefer chocolate (I split it with the little girl) husband got the affogato, I didnt get to taste it but he liked it. Don't get these four to five star reviews, it seriously is just Blah. Slider apps, had to be pre-made, Luke warm and dry. The chicken app, may have been decent if there was actual chicken in the dish. Cod main dish was dry with really no seasoning on the fish, Brussels sprouts chard beyond recognition. The bacon on this dish must have been left over from Sunday brunch( today is Tuesday). All that being said we are still dealing with COVID, but the floor manager didn't care, not wearing a mask as he talked endlessly with customers who where not masked at the tables. I don't get it, where is the concern for your customers? Spend your $ with restaurants who care about the health and well being of their customers. Got to sit in the garden and listen to jazz music because the exit zero jazz festival was going on next door. Great start to a Saturday in Cape May! This was our third time dining at Vintage and and unfortunately the quality of the food has significantly declined. Our appetizers were okay but my entree was terrible. I ordered the duck confit which was supposed to come with roasted vegetables and potatoes in a juniper berry sauce. The duck was ok but the sauce was very salty. The potatoes were hard and the mushy huge pieces of zucchini were not roasted. I only ate a small portion of the entree before I let our server know. He was very nice and offered to bring me something else but I declined. He did take 30% off the bill. My husband had the pork and it was just okay. We were disappointed since our last two times eating there the food was acceptable, but not great. Maybe because we had a late reservation - it shouldn't matter. You've COD to be kidding! Overall on August 30, the three of us had a nice time at dinner. Myself, my cousin and his bride. A jazz band played on the lawn of the estate and the service was excellent. Sarah our waitress was terrific, she was both very helpful and accessible. My cousin and his wife had good sized entrees. However, I was disappointed. My cod was so small it was hidden under the garnish, no bigger than a silver dollar. Even Dillon came over to listen to us. Just tell Nikkos he should know better although I understand this venture is new for him based on what some of the locals told me. My Caesar salad was huge and my couscous was outstanding. The duck was very good although the roasted potatoes were a little dry. The rice ball was good but not $12. Plus not sure why they charge extra for bread. Maybe people are wasting. The hit of the evening was the mouth watering wild boar bolognese with pappardelle pasta. Overall a very nice experience yet we realize it cod have been better! read more
