Family owned restaurant where service is top notch. It's nothing fancy just eat breakfast brunch café. There were so many things on the menu. They even have Chinese food on your menu if you wanna mix it up. Luckily I went with enough people that I was able to try other dishes. From the moment we checked in, to getting seated, getting our food or to enjoy each bite, it was just all around great way to start the day with a delicious breakfast. We went on a Sunday and they had validated parking.

Unassuming, you'd never expect a place located in an office building to have great service, and great food. They seem to have a lot of people who are regulars, they've got cute decor with photos of 90s and then some celebrities... a bit fun to try to guess who these people are... anywho. Both times I was here I had Chinese food for breakfast. First time was chicken broccoli and the second time was the wonton soup. Not the best but it hit the spot especially since finding Asian food at a restaurant early in the morning isn't exactly easy. They've got good coffee, and they cook their eggs just right. I would highly recommend this place and from the looks of it, so would many other people!

Such a cute little diner! Came in around noon and was promptly sat. I opted for an iced vanilla caffe latte and the bacon breakfast burrito, while my partner ordered the hungry combo and upgraded the biscuits to a short stack of chocolate chip pancakes. The burrito was grilled, and it gave it a nice crunch. The stuffing was great. As for my partner's entree, I definitely found my favorite. Everything was fantastic, and the pancakes were fluffy and yummy. Will definitely come back!

I had the most amazing late lunch! The restaurant is absolutely charming with a vintage feel, but it's also very clean and lovely upgraded feel! I ordered the Chinese salad with a crunch and chicken & waffles. Oh my goodness - they are incredibly delicious. The salad is so refreshing and the chicken is super juicy and tasty. I highly recommend this place. The staff was extremely friendly and there's even 90 minutes of free parking validation in the back, which is a great bonus!

What a delightful diner! We got a comfy booth for a reunion with one of our most cherished couple friends, and had a wonderful time! We were there 8:30-10:30am on a Friday morning and while there was a modest rush around 9:30, the place was never packed out. Our server told us she has been there for 26 years and her recommendations were fantastic! I enjoyed the breakfast burrito and bites of the table pancake--the berries and cream and the syrup were delicious. I can't believe we haven't come here before! It's perfect for a slow morning catch up in a quaint booth. The decor is classic but not dingy at all.

Pork chops, eggs, plain home price per my request.

The best, best, best. The staff is like family. The food is delicious. Today I achieved the perfect bite as seen in my photo and I haven't been for a minute and everyone was like where have you been and how are you really where have you been? I love the place. I love the food. I love the staff. Everything about this place is nothing but love. This may or may not be my second review of this place but today was so great I had to.

The menu is extensive, so it should be easy to find something you will like. We went right around opening and we were able to seat ourselves right away. They have inside booths and counter seating. Along with outside tables. There is street parking and behind the building paid parking that restaurant validates. The pancakes are bland even with syrup and the egg whites omelet needed seasoning. The Americano coffee was good. They have a variety of creamer and jellies/jams. I probably won't be going back, because pancakes are what I like for breakfast. However, I would recommend giving this place a try.

Good service, good pancakes, sausage and eggs' bacon no so much, a little dry, but good bacon is hard to come by these days.

Ask the Community - VIP's Cafe

Does this place offer a form of digital or online payment?

    No they do not.

    Is it dog friendly?

Yes. They have a nice patio and usually bring a bowl of water for our dog when we're there.

Was this formerly known as the Pantry Shelf in the 80's?

    No. Thomas's

My family and I are having a debate: is it VIP's as in Very Important Person, or is it VIP's as in someone named Vip owns the place? In other words, should we pronounce each letter of VIP or is it more of a roll-off-the-tongue Vip's?

Lol it’s called V I P by all of us in the valley as far as I know. I hope this helps you!! :-)

    Do they have bottomless mimosas?

    No they don't :(

However the past holiday weekend my youngest woke up early so I told him we will go to the waffle place. Got there before 9am so we were seated right away. We sat inside and we both ordered an omelette with the waffles as the side. Service was fast but the only thing is that the eggs are overcooked. On the photo you can see the edges were brown on my order (Californian). The servings are huge so we only ate half of the omelettes we ordered and finished off the waffles. I had the Californian and my son had Denver. The Californian is a folded omelette while Denver flat. I prefer my son's omelette than mine. Next time I'll just have the waffles! Oh and they put jam and salsa that's really good to put on anything - even the waffles.

While two kind waiters originally came to our group to just offer coffee and water, a hostess randomly came up to our group and rudely said "well, your group has been here for 40 minutes now and still haven't ordered and we need the tables". First and foremost, our group had not been there for 40 minutes yet, and if we had been, that would have showed how delayed their service was. Secondly, the hostess came off very rude and aggressive, she could have asked if we were just ready to order. Finally, we had been waiting for someone to take our order the entire time! We kindly advised we had been waiting to order. She ruined the vibes for the entire group, and we did not feel welcome for the rest of the experience. The waiters were extremely kind, just not whoever the hostess was on 5/9/26. Waffles came out first, would have made more sense to have them after the main meal. Eggs Benedict were very traditional, seasoned well but nothing to rave for. They definitely have a different take on chilaquiles, not what I was expecting but decently seasoned. Food is around 6.5-7/10. Well seasoned, flavorful but not unique. Not coming back to this location to due the experience unfortunately.

While the environment is nicely designed and looks great, the pleasant experience ended as soon as I walked in and ordered. The service was slow and overall terrible. The staff was completely unhelpful when I asked for assistance with the wifi, making it a frustrating place to try to get any work done. The wifi was terribly slow and would not even open google. As for the coffee, my Americano was bland and overpriced. To make matters worse, the to-go cup was leaky, which just added to the frustration.
