I have been coming here for many years and I can't believe I did not post a review about this place yet! Every time I walk in the Owner and his wife, are there greeting you with a warm hello! I love sitting outside on the patio. All the waitresses there no me by my order. They are all so sweet. My favorite thing to get is the vegetable omelette with a side of potatoes and rye toast. The coffee is so good and you will never have an empty cup. Their service is great! . I always come here for breakfast. This place is a gem! I love supporting this family business. I've been coming here ever since I moved to the Valley. Staff always greet you with a warm welcome. They interact with my two littles and even give them a coin to put in the toy machines up front. This diner gives off 80's vibes and I'm all for it! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Total professionals and attentive bus boys. Never once was my coffee mug even half full. I ordered a scramble with hash browns and toast. Food came out lightening quick and all modifications we requested were made. Sometimes it's easy for small requests to slip through the cracks, but the servers here are quick AND thorough! I love the patio and it's dog friendly! The inside has a classic old diner feel and smells amazing. Upon entering you are always met with a friendly greeting from the owner. "Happy to see you!" One tip is if you are not a garlic fan, beware of any dish that contains garlic. They are big chunks of cloves. I personally am into it, but it can be a bit overwhelming in the flavor department. I recently discovered VIP Cafe with some friends and it's been a good find! We've been going for brunch/lunch and are always stuffed by the time we leave. Looking forward to more visits. VIP has the standard diner look, feel and food. Seating is booth and diner bar seating inside and outside they have a nice little patio area overlooking the blvd. They're only open for breakfast and lunch opening up at 8am and closing by 3pm M-Sun. Staff is kind/pleasant and helpful and they seem to have many regulars which is a good sign. Food has been consistent on the times we have been and I think there's a bit of everything with some unique finds. The menu includes various drinks and a bunch of great breakfast and lunch items. Drinks: Juices (freshly squeezed orange juice!)/milk, fountain and canned sodas, waters, coffees, teas and lemonades, milkshakes, smoothies, beers, champagne/mimosas, cocktails Food: Sandwiches, egg dishes (omelets, scrambles, benedicts etc) burgers, tacos, salads, soups, some Chinese fare, various specialties, and various sides On recent visits I did: Loco Moco - Two fried eggs, beef patty, steamed rice, brown gravy. This was a huge portion and so so good. I would definitely get this again. I love Loco Moco's and this one is not to be missed. Chicken fried steak - Beef fritter, country gravy, two eggs, hashbrown or home fries and biscuit or toast. Saturday mid-morning we decided to venture out to find a great breakfast place. We've passed VIP's numerous times since it's less than 2 miles from our home. We've always see the front patio area next to the main road to be filled with people. Deciding to take a try at this restaurant was a great decision. Parking in the back is free on the weekends. During the week they validate the parking for 1-1/2 hours. Upon walking in we were greeted very warmly by a gentleman. I mentioned it was our first time there. There was a booth open and we were seated immediately. Michael, who we met upon walking in, kindly went over some of their menu with us. Come to find out it's a family owned restaurant of 23 years! Paul and Lucy are Michael's parents. Kat introduced herself as our server. She was excellent at explaining the options for breakfast. As we spoke further we found out more about the lunch dishes, as well. Kat highly recommended the french toast and home fries. We ordered both with our breakfast. She did not steer us wrong they were both excellent!! The potatoes are wonderfully done just enough crisp and freshness with bell pepper and onion. My husband was so happy to find a restaurant that makes them the way he likes them! Yay! French toast fluffy and very delightful!! Thank you Kat!! We appreciate your honest input. If I liked it when I was there and still thinking about it days later... Several days ago my blushing bride and I went to VIP's Cafe for a nooner... errr, I mean... brunch/lunch date. I never heard about this place before. (I seem to live in a bubble because she tells me that it's generally mobbed with guys like me... you know... studs... not post-middle-aged codgers.) Anyway... From the initial greeting by the lovely lady I believe is an owner, to the exceptional service from the waitress, to the friendly and efficient attention by the busman... service was stupendous. Best part is that the ensured our happiness while never interfering with our date. And then there was the food. I seem to have left the photos in "my other phone" so for now all I can offer is an IOU. I had the chicken and waffles. Wow... the best I've ever had. Yes, even better than that famous place over the hill. All was very fresh and crisp. The waffle was a bit on the sweet side. The chicken was seasoned but not at all salty, as fried chicken sometimes can be. My bride had French toast, etc. (breakfast number "A", I believe); it was excellent in all ways. Portions are good. Prices are good. Service is good. And the place is comfortable and comforting. Doesn't get much better than that. I'm still thinking about VIO's Cafe days later! read more

Whenever I arrive, I'm always greeted by the owner. I've been going there for years. The waitresses have remained the same for many years which is nice. The bus boys are superb, they always greet you and ask you what you would like to drink. You couldn't ask for better service. They have quite the diverse menu. They have breakfast, lunch soup, Mexican, and Chinese food. As I said very diverse. I've tried many things there, but for some reason I fall into the same thing as of recent it is an egg salad sandwich with bacon on it on sourdough it comes with two sides. I opted for the salad And onion rings both are delicious. I highly recommend trying their house Italian dressing they make it there and it is delicious. The ambience is wonderful it is a small diner, and the owners are very nice always saying hi as you walk in it is always clean whether you dine inside or out there is counters that you can sit out or booths and outside they have umbrellas should you decide to sit outside you can sit in the sunshine or under an umbrella I had a burger there and it was delicious and I've had their soup and it was delicious. I can't think of anything that I've had there that I didn't like. Also, there is parking and they will validate you for parking. I don't remember how long that they validate you for but it's more than enough time to relax and have a nice meal. read more
