I 'm pretty sure I got a bad haircut. Once you are there they dry your hair and make it look pretty with curls... but back at home damnn I just couldn't fix it! (and yes I know how to fix a nice looking hair!). Today I used the flat iron and I see uneven layers, no matter how much I move it it just looks like flat tick layers that won't ever blend! I love the service, but this is the 3rd time I give them a chance with different stylish and I just keep using a pony tail cuz the hair cut is just wrong! I really like this salon. I would recommend going with a higher level stylist (at least a Master Stylist which is the 3rd tier) but there is always someone available because they have so many stylists in the salon at once, no appointment necessary unless you want to stick with one stylist. I went in around 4-5pm on a Thursday afternoon and a stylist was immediately available. I also like that your stylist who will cutting your hair is the one who escorts you from the sitting area and washes your hair because they see your natural style and can feel the texture of your hair as they wash, ensuring a better cut. I had my hair cut by Vira (Vida maybe) and she was great. She was very blunt about the condition of my hair without being rude and clarified everything with me before she did it. Really great service and was so satisfied with the communication. I would definitely request her when I come back. read more

Worst worst front desk service! This happened with me twice and today I'm super disappointed !! when i called for an appointment and week ago for color n cut,the girl on reception didn't asked much details besides default time, day, stylist preference , still i told her i have virgin hair so give me good time with the colorist so i can show her picture ( i was sure i didn't wanted complex streaks highlights but a mix of overall base color change ) and get it done with with haircut also. So receptionist gave me heads up and book me in for Saturday but on Friday night 8:20pm she calls me to inform that we cannot accommodate you for color due to time constraints. I live in Woodlands and go there for good price and stylist acquaintance but after my all excitement going in drain as its always hard to catch them, reception says something else and stylist calls and say something else it's frustrating to understand what actually happens. Last time i tried 4 weeks straight to get appointment bit they were booked. Just doing so much effort for taking a correct appointment is more than enough! They need to work on their customer service and get front desk staff more trained to book the specifications rather than ending in confusion both themselves and clients.Eventually loosing customers!! read more

Let me start off by saying before going here I had not cut my hair in about 5 years because of being scared and having my hair ruined by cheap salons. but after getting cut by Grant OMG i love my hair and it's so soft and healthy. it was totally worth the money and drive! I am used to waxing my eyebrows but when i heard that visible changes did threading, i decided to give it a try. I had my eyebrows done by Sanaz, she's pretty cool and fast too!! She also does all fascial hair. She charged me $25 and i thought it was pretty cheap. I also had a haircut done by Stephanie, she is very outgoing and can carry a good conversation. She is fast and does not charge as much. I was charged $39 for the haircut, including washing and straightening my hair. read more

I don't like giving bad reviews, but I feel my experience warranted one. I needed a bang trim so I decided to stop by Visible Changes while shopping around the Galleria. They quickly took me in, but the service was mediocre at best. I never got the name of my hair stylist, but called later and described him and they told me his name was Ricky. I tried to make small talk, but he wasn't very friendly. He just wanted to know where I wanted my bangs cut so he could get me out of there. He trimmed it straight across, but didn't add texture like it had when I had come in. So I asked if it could be textured and he added texture alright...it was jagged and uneven. It looked like I had two layers of bangs on my forehead, one halfway and one above my eyebrows. I told my girlfriends about this experience and they have had similar experiences. Wish I would've heard about this sooner! Now I'm walking around with my bangs pinned up, because it looks so bad. Apparently, a bang trim is free, but I guess you get what you pay for. I feel that VC takes in such a high volume of clients that it does not give you the customer service and time you deserve. I'm sure there are great stylists here, but in my experience, I've tried my luck and left scarred. I quickly left the mall in shame and went to a salon down the street that thankfully, salvaged what was left of my bangs. read more

I have been going here for many years for cut, style and highlights. I love my colorist Becky and Nary( I believe her name is) always does an amazing job on my cut and style. Really they are phenomenal. I wish I could give them 5 stars. However, every time I make an appointment the front desk always messes up. Whether it's not listening to what exactly I'm coming in for and I end up waiting for 45 minutes for a cut. Or I check in and end up waiting so long they put me as a no show even though they just forgot to check me in. The people at the front are a mess. I don't like that I make sure to make appointments, come in on time and end up staying for forever because someone at the front desk messed up. They're lucky the stylist's are so awesome or else I would be going somewhere else. Make sure you emphasize what your coming in for several times when making an appointment and if you wait more then 10 minutes double check they actually checked in. read more

I have just recently moved to Houston and was looking for a hairstylist near me that was not outrageously expensive and could do a good job cutting my curly hair. I saw the reviews for Visible Changes and thought I should give it a shot. You have the option of choosing a less experienced stylist or a more experienced stylist and the price ranges on their experience. I went ahead and chose someone that was higher in level, but still affordable. My appointment started relatively on time and Jenny was my stylist. She was very personable and easy to talk to. I really enjoyed getting my hair cut by her. I am always worried about going shorter, because of my curly hair, but Jenny did a really good job. She blow dried my hair beautifully! And she didn't pressure me to buy expensive products. I am definitely going back to see her again and she has given me more confidence to take my hair even shorter! I recommend this place for sure, and especially Jenny, if you don't mind spending a little on a good haircut and style. read more

I highly recommend Marcus for hair coloring. I am absolutely in love with the bayalage he did for me. He corrected a failed bayalage someone else tried doing. He is just as amazing as everyone says he is!!! I was definitely nervous walking in, but he made me feel so comfortable and understood exactly what I wanted. I tried this VC out a few years ago after having terrible experiences with other VC. I have never had a bad experience here. I've been going to the same colorist, Michelle since I started going there. She is the only person I feel comfortable with coloring my hair. I drive almost an hour to see her. There isn't anything she can't do. She's lightened my base while giving me highlights, darkened my hair, gone back and lightened my base and gave me highlights, done many ombrés, bleached my hair out only for me to come back a few months later and request an ombré which she did and it looked amazing and then colored it back to dark brown. My hair has always been healthy without too much damage with all that. She is by far the best colorist I have ever seen. For cut I love Hannah. She not only does a great job with the cut but she remembers small details about our conversations even if I haven't seen her in a while. She is so nice and so good at her job. These two are the only two that I see there. If you request either one of them you will not be disappointed. I love them. read more

Be careful about this place adding hidden costs! I called to schedule a basic blow dry and wash that "starts" at $18 with a junior stylist. As I asked more and more questions, it turns out there are so many additional costs they'll try to charge you, such as if you're hair is wavy or curly (because you have so much control over this and is the sole reason you're asking for the service!), if you want it blow dryed straight (verses I'm not sure what), etc. The manager, who took my call, made it a point to tell me he made a note of our conversation, essentially to ensure that the stylist charges me extra. Total jerk. Basically, expect to pay at least $30 for a decent blow dry (no cut) from a junior stylist - just fyi! read more

Went in for a simple shampoo blowout which I was told starts at $25 and I figured my hair is pretty short (above my shoulders) it probably shouldn't be any extra. I normally round rush my own hair, but was leaving out of town and was crunched for time. Janett managed to make me like a poodle by using a 1 inch round brush on my hair and then up charging me an extra $5 at check out, which I totally wouldn't have minded had my hair looked even slightly decent. Had to go home and do the entire thing over myself. Overall a waste of time and money. Never thought anyone could ruin something as simple as a shampoo blow-dry. read more

I went to VC-Galleria for the second time today after receiving great customer service and an awesome cut and style with Dehvany on my initial visit. With my bday coming up this Sunday, I just had to make another appointment with her! I was thrilled when I found out she had availability with just one day notice! I figured it was too late notice to ask for color but Dehvany assured me we could do it and referred me to one of their master color specialists, Markus. She even took the time to blow my hair dry after my cut so I could get in for the color treatment. I showed Markus a picture of what I wanted to achieve and he exceeded my expectations! The manager here is James. What a professional! My mother has bad knee pain. He helped her up and down to the each spot. Everyone was soooo caring with her. I went myself and had to come back due to some spots I noticed after my color service. The assistant manager and manager were quick at resolving the issue. My hair is curly (biracial) and my mother hair is fine and wavy. They can handle all textures for any race. Great spot to get good work done.
