WHAT A JOKE!!! I was 4 minutes (FOUR MINUTES!!!!) late for my appointment and they said I missed the 10 minutes window.... How does 4 minutes turn into 10 minutes?!?! The office staff looked very questionable, and unprofessional. It is a "doctors" office for crying out loud. The would've been my first time using Visionworks, and I promise it will be my last. No wonder they have so many available appointments online. VERY SAD. read more

Visionworks - 4:08PM when I'm leaving my 4:00PM appointment that I missed my 10 minute window - Optometrists Near Me - Kernersville, North Carolina

If I could give them no stars I would. I went to get a prescription for contacts last May (prescription is only valid for 1 year which I found out today). I don't use Contacts on a day-to-day basis and I told them when I went that I was only going to use Contacts for special occasions. I went in and I didn't even see a physical doctor. I ended up talking to a doctor on a screen which normally wouldn't make me feel uneasy but in this case I ended up regretting it. By the end of the week they gave me a weeks worth of contacts with my new prescription. I was excited and (at the time) grateful for a weeks worth when other places normally give out Like a days worth. Fast forward to about a month ago, I finally tried on my contacts....I couldn't see! It's so blurry I couldn't even keep them in for more than 2 mns as my eyes started to get irritated, watery and ache from my eyes trying to "correct" themselves. End result: I couldn't wear them, they're still in my cupboard. I decided to call when I had the chance to see if by any miracle they could change my prescription knowing that it had been a while since I had last seen them or better yet just go to a different dr with my prescription in hand. Fast forward to today. I called and I spoke to a lady (I forgot her name) who started off nice but ended up being petty and rude. I started off by asking her if I could get an email copy of my prescription because what she didn't know was that I was going to go to another office and show them my prescription so that they could see what prescription they gave me and see if they could correct it. She plainly told me she could not send it through email. She stated the only viable option was for me to pick up a physical copy, which I did not want to do. She couldn't even find me in the system. I was kind of thrown off, because why couldn't you send it through email? I just didn't understand as to what the big deal was but coming from a medical background Maybe there was some legal reason so I didn't push it. After asking some questions about my prescription she told me it was best to see the dr. I didn't even see a physical optometrist last time I was there why would I go back? To get another incorrect prescription? She laughed and asked why I needed my prescription then and I told her that I wanted a copy to show a real optometrist so they can see what you guys did wrong! Long story short she ended up calling me back and told me my prescription was void and that I couldn't get any sort of copy, so I just hung up. They won't even send it to another Dr because it's void. Legal matters aside, they should always send my previous information to a new dr whether they like it or not. Here's the thing, I understand that prescriptions are only valid 1 year and I myself understand that there are things u can't and can do but the conversation would've gone better without attitude from miss Visionworks cuz I can dish it right back. read more

Terrible , Appointment not honored. The receptionist stated we were 3 minutes past our appointment time window so we would not be seen. There was no person having a eye appointment and no other person waiting. My wife walks with a Cane or walker per foot fusion surgery. I drove her to the side door 3 steps from the receptionist desk. They had added a sign That said use front entrance. If allowed to use this door our arrival was 5 minutes earlier than given credit for. This receptionist was backed up by a new Manager. Just unreal to me the attitude and smirk of the receptionist. She was playing on her cell phone,doing absolutely nothing. This interaction was horrible and uncalled for we arrive just a few minutes late per a accident of someone else less than a 1/4 mile from this store. If the side door was unlocked we would have been 13 minutes late. The receptionist watched and was aware of my wife's disability. You see since we were forced to use the front entrance it took longer not only to get inside the store but required my wife with foot fusion surgery 3 weeks earlier to walk the entire depth of the store front to back Vision works has made no apologies or attempts to apologize for this obvious discrimination of my wife. So, be ashamed! Vision Works and be sure you lost 2 longtime customers. read more

The exam and rx were great. My only issue is the girls in the office there are too casual. I mean torn jeans and furry slides? Dress the part for heavens sake. read more

I do like the Visionworks store and usually shop at Winston Salem. Visionworks has a great selection of eyewear. I went to Kernersville because it was closer to home this time. I was very disappointed in the customer service in the eyewear area. The gentleman who waited on me seemed very annoyed even though there was no one else in the store. He was helpful with pricing and was not pushy on the plus side. When I went to pick up my glasses, no one was in the store and the same gentlemen was talking with a co worker and just handed me my glasses. I tried them on. Fortunately, I liked them but he never asked me how they felt, checked the lenses to make sure I could read etc (all things that are done when picking up new glasses). He turned away and continued to talk with his co worker. I had a second pair of glasses as well and was never called when they came in. I sent my husband to pick them up after two weeks. I'm going back to Winston where the customer service is awesome! read more

I just picked up my glasses and had a great experience from start to finish. Great selection at all price points and Jeff helped me find the best pair for my face/style. Very helpful but not pushy at all, I truly felt he wanted to make sure I was just completely happy with my purchase! Thank you!!! I'll be back! read more

I feel like good customer service is hard to come by...but Jeff and Sanantha over at Visionworks in Kernersville were A*M*A*Z*I*N*G!! We went in Saturday, i picked my glasses up Monday and my daughter was able to pick up her first pair on Wednesday...EACH time this place was great! So friendly, and they even joked around with my 7 year old daughter. I highly recommend and I will return when we need another pair for sure...OH and did I mention GREAT prices?! Jeff was so friendly and patient while i was picking out my frames and super helpful when explaining everything to me. It took less than 10 days to get my glasses in and the process was really easy when picking them up! I will definitely be back here for future purchases! read more
