    The following is my response to their comment. They only advised me to go to an emergency vet several days later when Tavon had gone to critical condition. Their poor communication and last minute ER advise cost my dog's life. Vista Veterinary Hospital only sent me a very inadequate email on 5/18/23 with a one liner sentence stating, "We are really sorry to about Tavon passing." VCA Veterinary Specialists treated me with immense compassion and sent me a nice card. His fur clippings, paw print casting, and ashes encased in a beautiful wood box with a metal placard with his name were hand delivered with a mold of his paw print. I WILL NEVER FORGIVE Vista Veterinary Hospital for their enormous incompetence! BTW, my other dog is now receiving better care at a different veterinary hospital.

    I can't thank Dr. Bath and her staff enough for the compassionate treatment they have not only provided our family but to our precious English Bulldog Ice. We've been bringing him to this vet for years and as he began to age and experience health issues, Dr. Bath was straight forward in assisting us to make the best decision for him Definitely the hardest one I ever had to make but also the right one. Last week we helped him cross that bridge and tearfully let him go. Dr. Bath and her staff were the best for this season, thank you!!

    This is the best vet I've ever taken my pet. Dr Bath is so nice. The girls in the office Maritssa and Jenny are so sweet. I love that they don't pressure you to buy everything on the list but they still care about your pet and are honest enough to help you prioritize your treatments. I took my pug in for a check up because he smelled like a shrimp boat and turns out he had all kinds of teeth rotting so they suggested a good teeth cleaning. Way more reasonably priced than any vet i called. They called me DURING the procedure to give me and update and take permission to take care of what was needed (he had a bunch of teeth pulled) AND cleaned his ears and trimmed his nails (while he was under anesthesia) complimentary! Who does that!?!?!? No one!!!! :)))))) I got a brand new pup!! AND they called his antibiotic into Costco's pharmacy FOR ME and didn't pressure me to buy it from them. They called me the next day to check up on my pup too! I LOVE THIS VET!!!!!! i wish i would have come here 10 years ago instead of the place i have been going. Thank you ladies for The excellent customer service and fixing my pup! I plan on brining my other dog too in the near future. I was referred by my mom who took her german shepherd for surgery. So glad i went!!

From the start, I was able to call a week in advance and get information, and when I realized I couldn't book online the day before, they were able to assist and get me in with no problem. Communication was top notch. On top of that, I don't board my dog often because he can be quite nervous around new people and new dogs. However, they were so reassuring the entire time. They sent me an update and a photo in the middle of the day to settle my nerves. When I went to pick him up, he was resting so comfortably next to them. From the very beginning, Misty was incredible. She carved out time weeks before the wedding for us to meet each other and talk about our dog's (Louie) temperament, our expectations, and the full game plan for the big day. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was prepared and genuinely cared about making everything go smoothly. On the wedding day, she was amazing. She arrived early to the Airbnb and was able to get used to walking and handling Louie. She walked Louie down the aisle, handled him and helped him greet guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and kept everything completely stress-free for us. She kept us updated via text throughout the day, and when it was time to drop him back off at our Airbnb in the evening, she sent photos and updates so we knew he was settled and happy. She even left us the sweetest wedding gift, which was such a thoughtful touch. Misty was kind, professional, organized, and clearly loves what she does. We are SO grateful for her and would absolutely book Dogs on the Run again. Highly, highly recommend!

    My review is based on camp and boarding w/camp…read more We were searching for the right doggy day-camp, so called a few places. I was told there's an evaluation process (which was expected since I had to do this with other potential facilities), and Josh helped answer all my questions! He explained everything clearly and even sent me photos and video of my pup to let me know how he was doing (he settled in nicely and was doing well)! There isn't a time limit for the evaluation, so I kept my pup there all day to let him have the full experience. I've since bought the punchcard which has two options. 10 daycamps for $400 or 20 for $700. We dropped our dog off a few times over summer for day camp, and almost a handful of times we were called just a couple hours after drop off because they had to bring the dogs in due to the heat. We were still charged a full day of camp. I get the full day charge if we leave our dog there all day, but it would've been great if they worked with us to charge half days (prorate it), or give a few extra comp days to compensate if we pick him up right away (which is almost always before 12). One time they noticed he rolled in his own pee while in the kennel, so they offered to give him a complimentary bath which I appreciated! Now onto my boarding experience. First and foremost, the rate for boarding is: $63. The rate for boarding with camp is $87. I signed up for boarding with camp, and asked a few times on different occasions about the charges for boarding with camp (ie. what's the cutoff time that I need to pick him up by, etc) - and was told 12pm. I asked if there was flexibility to pick him up before 3 since I indicated in the application - but the price listed is per day - so if you want your pup to have camp on the day of pickup, that's an extra fee. Multiple people told me in person and over the phone that I "should be ok" because I put it on my application - so I didn't think I'd be charged extra. So watch out for this and your pickup times if you decide to board here. They won't honor what you were told over the phone, and will only reference the contract. Also, if you sign up for boarding with camp, you are billed separately for each of the services, which creates some confusion but the math adds upcorrectly. Our dog ended up with conjunctivitis after his second boarding stay, so we were hit with an unexpected vet bill on top of that. Overall, the hours are convenient and I'm glad we found the right place for our dog, but the customer service / communication aspect for boarding needs improvement. Shoutout to Josh for all you do! It's your service and TLC you give our pup that keeps us coming back.

We've had no out-of-control barking incidents; he can be tethered and remain quiet. He's very good on walks, moving from "heel" to "break" and back to "heel" again. He's very responsive to the "off" command, which we use primarily to keep him off the furniture and out of the kitchen. Last week we had friends over for dinner and after his initial excitement he was a good boy, lying nearby content and chewing on a bone. We even attended the Humane Society Walk for Animals at Kit Carson Park, and with hundreds of dogs and people and non-stop activities, he was again a very well-behaved boy. We are so appreciative of the work that Michelle did with Monty. He is now the dog we always hoped he would be - happy, well-behaved, and living his best life!

Chris took the time to demonstrate effective techniques and offered practical solutions I'll be implementing right away. Chewie and I are incredibly grateful for Chris's continued support and the excellent training from Cosmo K-9 Obedience. Chewie has come a long way. I can't image life without the professional guidance and support from Costco K-9 Obedience.

Wanted to give a much needed update !…read more Shortly after I wrote my previous review my spouse and I decided to just push forward with training and board as our pup was completely out of control and tried snapping at a family member's hand. Our dog came back calm, orderly, and OBEDIENT! After a month long stay and many many wonderful updates multiple times per week we are confident he has made at least a 90% improvement on his bad behaviors and is able to calmly behave not only around us but his reactivity to other dogs has made a tremendous improvement. Shannon and Sierra are STELLAR! I'd also like to mention they did a home drop off for us (since I'm still heavily pregnant) and spent over an HOUR with my husband and I going over all of the new things he has learned + even took a walk with us in the neighborhood to address another issue we had with reactivity. We were left with a sheet of all his new & enforced behaviors to keep track of along with super chewer toys and treats. Excellent, excellent, excellent experience with this team and I highly recommend anyone who needs this service to pull the trigger and go for it! You will not regret your decision!

    This was our second time using the Escondido location, and it confirmed that this facility is not…read moreequipped or operated to responsibly manage large or anxious dogs, despite advertising itself as a professional daycare. During our first experience in May 2024 (boarding), our dog, Chika, was labeled anxious and given a "first strike" for snapping at other dogs. We had never received this sort of feedback before and were concerned. She was placed in private care for the remainder of that stay, and no further issues occurred. Between May 2024 and December 2025, Chika attended numerous daycare facilities in social play without incident. We gave the Escondido location another opportunity on December 20, 2025. Within three hours, we received a voicemail from Daniel (manager) stating that Chika was digging at and jumping on the walls and that the Escondido facility's walls are not as sturdy as those at the Miramar location. We were also told that she would NOT be welcome back at Escondido after that day. We do not dispute Chika's behavior, but the problem was the lack of management. We are paying customers and expect staff to actively handle the situation, not simply report it and escalate to removal or ban. There was no indication that reasonable steps were taken (removal from the area, breaks, walks, or calming measures) before contacting us. Notifying the customer is appropriate and appreciated; failing to attempt resolution is not. Chika was eventually placed in a cage for the remainder of the day, which was acceptable. However, communication did not indicate that efforts were made to reduce her stress or ensure her comfort. We paid $60 per dog (two dogs; our other dog's behavior was deemed acceptable) and expected professional supervision and care. There are serious safety and operational concerns. The facility has thin, easily damaged walls, is understaffed (per the manager and owner), and staff are not consistently present in dog areas. Dogs are sometimes monitored via cameras rather than in-person supervision, according to Daniel (manager). This location also maintains a low number of dogs, which aligns with how quickly dogs are removed or banned instead of being managed. According to the daycare, Chika may react this way because calmer areas stress her and busier areas keep her mind occupied--interpret that as you will. Interactions with Daniel (manager) and Brian (owner) were unacceptable. Brian called us on December 21st, which we initially appreciated as a chance to discuss the situation. However, the conversation quickly became hostile and dismissive, with Brian stating they "could bill you for the damage, but aren't," telling me to "take some introspection," and calling me "rude" and "ridiculous for asking for a refund." He also said, "open your own daycare and manage it how you want." All phone calls with management are recorded, so there is a record of these interactions. No accommodation was offered. Had a partial refund been provided, this review would not exist! The only professional interaction was with Whitney at the front desk. We love the Miramar location, and it's disappointing that our experience at Escondido came to this. Owners of large or anxious dogs should proceed with caution. This location does not actively manage stressed dogs or work toward resolution.
