Vista Veterinary Hospital is very unprofessional they wanted to give kitten shots to a purebred kitten who has already had all its kitten shots it was provided to them in shot record from reputable TICA breeder. I had the kitten seen there for kitten health exam just got the kitten yesterday. Upon leaving I was thrown an invoice after I paid cash for the visit that stated I denied shots and I had to ask for the health exam paper that I paid for. Lady was very rude and I don't feel she needed to be that way. Just be aware of this and read all negative reviews from this vet and her vet tech/office person Ashley. Not a 'purebred friendly' place to visit. read more

The following is my response to their comment. They only advised me to go to an emergency vet several days later when Tavon had gone to critical condition. Their poor communication and last minute ER advise cost my dog's life. Vista Veterinary Hospital only sent me a very inadequate email on 5/18/23 with a one liner sentence stating, "We are really sorry to about Tavon passing." VCA Veterinary Specialists treated me with immense compassion and sent me a nice card. His fur clippings, paw print casting, and ashes encased in a beautiful wood box with a metal placard with his name were hand delivered with a mold of his paw print. I WILL NEVER FORGIVE Vista Veterinary Hospital for their enormous incompetence! BTW, my other dog is now receiving better care at a different veterinary hospital. read more

Our cats have been patients at Vista Veterinary Hospital for several years, since we moved to the area in 2017. Before and during COVID our experiences there were fine, the care provided seemed good and prices were reasonable. It seems like things have changed now - when we brought our cat in for a visit recently to catch up on shots and get a flea treatment, we did not have a good experience. After a short wait in the very small lobby with two very large dogs, we were taken back to a treatment room that the dogs had just left. It was clear from the strong and unpleasant smell that the treatment room needed cleaning. We waited in the treatment room for 15 or 20 minutes while the assistant had a chat with another customer. And by the way, the staff had changed the time of our appointment that morning, making it 30 minutes earlier. At that point we had lost confidence in the care our cat would receive and were frustrated by the apparent lack of consideration we were receiving so we left. We have changed to a different vet just down the road with very good reviews here. We were able to get an appointment at the new vet the same day and had a great experience. read more

I recently brought my cat in for a check up for her itching and an overall checkup since it had been more than a year. One of my requests was to trim my cat's nails. I explicitly expressed that she is an indoor/outdoor cat. Our former vet would trim the tips of her nail nails keeping in mind that she goes outside and needs her nails for protection. During COVID you are not allowed to come in with your pet so Ashley took her in and brought her out. When we got home I was surprised and disappointed to see that her nails were cut down to the quick. Ouch! Even I know how sensitive cat's nails are and that it can be quite painful to cut their nails down so much especially if you aren't careful. This was our first visit so I really don't know how skillful the staff is. What I DO know is that given the information that they had about my cat spending time outside, they should NOT have cut her nails to the quick! read more

OK I'm so pleased to give this place a five star rating! Dr. Bath leads the practice in caring for animals and not for her purse or wallet which is so rare these days! We brought our dog in for a severe dental problem and trusted her completely when she pulled only the teeth that she needed to and tried to keep the price within our budget. That is such a rare thing today! It emanated from a heart that cares about animals and not just her next dollar that she can make practicing veterinary medicine. She is the opposite of a cash vet, it is completely 100% all heart. This big heart of hers affects all of her staff as well, and this is the only veterinarian I would ever go to again for the rest of my years on the planet! Our dog Marley had been going there for years. The staff always gave us recommendations and were always considerate to our budget and provided several options when care was needed. Marley was also boarded there on several occasions as we are avid travelers and he always came home happy, looking groomed, and full of life. The staff there loved him and he had his picture up in the office. We could always tell he was cared for lovingly while he was there. Recently after 16 years we had to put Marley down. We did so at the office, and the staff even came in to say goodbye to him. We will always feel like this place was a second home to Marley and grateful for their loving care of him. Our miniature schnauzer developed kidney problems, insatiable thirst and began having accidents indoors, and literally had to relieve herself every 45-90 minutes, even through the night. Very quickly, this developed into lethargy and weight loss, and it progressed so rapidly, we feared we would lose her. Since this was the closest vet, this is where we went. The clinical staff at the office was tremendously helpful, and remained positive even though things appeared very bleak. They immediately did blood tests, urinalysis and put her on subcutaneous fluid replacement, and called us soon as they had results. Dr. Bath formulated a plan and immediately implemented medication and a special kidney supporting diet. Within a few days, our schnauzer made remarkable progress and stopped the incessant drinking and frequent urination. 90% back to normal, but still receiving treatment. Dr. Bath was very warm, approachable and encouraging. She explained in detail what was wrong, why and what to do about it. Throughout the whole ordeal, Dr. Bath and her staff made us feel reassured, hopeful. They were never vague, dismissive, arrogant or high-minded, they were warm, understanding and did a good job educating us. I highly recommend them. read more

They are very knowledgeable from the doctor, to the vet assistant, to the front desk, and talked me through each care option. So glad they took us in when my pup was in dire need. Yesterday was our very first visit and we were received so kindly! The facility is Is very clean and everyone was very nice Dr. Bath seem to have a great personality, very friendly! We took our just rescued kitty from Mexico to have her Sterilize surgery area looked at as we suspected an infection and sure enough she did have one, doctor Bath immediately gave her a shot of anabiotic and also some oral meds to take home and suggested we purchase a cone as she probably had licked to the area! We will be back in a few days for a follow up as her area looks a little inflamed and we are conferenced unless it's better by then! Overall the service was excellent and the prices seamed reasonable, which is a major plus! read more

We love Dr. Bath. We went here when it was a different doctor too and liked him as well, but that is beside the point. Dr. Bath is so kind and caring and doesn't upsell or guilt trip you into doing more than you are able. She also has a practice in Hemet so is not available as often as we wish but usually are able to wait for her because we would rather see her than someone else. I don't know vet medicine but it seems like she knows her stuff and have met our needs with around 9 pets over the years. read more

I didn't take my dog in exactly but it's the help and service I got on the phone that lead me to write this review. My dog has been sick on and off for a while and just last night it went to the extremes. My boyfriend took his family's dog here when he was old in age and recommended them for emergencies. I called them and explained the symptoms my dog had and the lady on the phone recommended I go to an emergency pet hospital. It was so nice of her to not be thinking about their own business and money but to really lead me somewhere so that my dog could actually get better. That is so rare nowadays. This is the best vet I've ever taken my pet. Dr Bath is so nice. The girls in the office Maritssa and Jenny are so sweet. I love that they don't pressure you to buy everything on the list but they still care about your pet and are honest enough to help you prioritize your treatments. I took my pug in for a check up because he smelled like a shrimp boat and turns out he had all kinds of teeth rotting so they suggested a good teeth cleaning. Way more reasonably priced than any vet i called. They called me DURING the procedure to give me and update and take permission to take care of what was needed (he had a bunch of teeth pulled) AND cleaned his ears and trimmed his nails (while he was under anesthesia) complimentary! Who does that!?!?!? No one!!!! :)))))) I got a brand new pup!! AND they called his antibiotic into Costco's pharmacy FOR ME and didn't pressure me to buy it from them. They called me the next day to check up on my pup too! I LOVE THIS VET!!!!!! i wish i would have come here 10 years ago instead of the place i have been going. Very reasonable pricing!! Vets can be outrageously expensive and I found their pricing to be so incredibly fair. Also my dog is a big Shepard mix who can look intimidating, especially since she was acting nervous to be there (but she's actually very sweet) they totally didn't judge her for her breed, saw how sweet she was and treated her so kindly. They were also so very accommodating to the fact that I'm a new mom and have literally no time to myself, let alone to be doing multiple trips to the vet with my dog, I can't thank them enough!! read more

As a first time cat owner, I honestly had no idea what was doing, luckily a friend recommended this veterinary. This place is amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions about my new cat, talked about the best flea prevention and even showed me how to apply the medication. We unfortunately had to have one of our dogs put down during the covid19 pandemic. The staff at this location was so nice and sincere. They made special accommodations for us to be there with our dog when she was euthanized. We brought our other dog in shortly after to have an exam and get a full spa bath. They took such great care of her and she looks fabulous. We have a 3rd dog lol, we've been happy with our experience so far, he is now scheduled to come in next week for an exam and spa day as well. This place is a disaster! We saw Dr Bath in Nov 2019 for a check up and vaccinations before boarding my dog the next day. Go in on a Saturday because I am booked to drop her off Sunday evening before I head to the airport for a red eye. Dr Bath tells me she has a heart murmur(which she does not) and gives me a very aggressive and expensive run down of what I need to do ASAP. I feel it's suspect immediately! It didn't feel right but I thank her and say see ya tomorrow to her and her front desk girl on the way out because I am booked for boarding, or so I thought. Arrive to drop my dog off the next night and no one is coming to meet us! I have no idea what to do because I am about to miss my flight and there is no one to call! As I'm pacing the parking lot a car pulls in. The girl just happened to come in even tho there were no drop offs on the schedule. She had to check the dogs anyhow but usually wouldn't have come till later. I got insanely lucky! Now today I'm at my real vet and they r calling to get records but can't. They had me in their system under a different name. I feel she hires staff that isn't competent of doing simple task. This place is dangerous and completely untrustworthy! read more

They have taken care of my dad's 15 year old cat for over 2 years now. We lost dad a year ago and I can't tell you how much a part of him I still treasure. Over a month ago I brought my girlfriend's bird here to be resuscitated, but after the veterinarian checked the bird, all she said was "diseased", she didn't even say she was sorry for my loss or anything. It was completely heartless. It was like as if my girlfriend's bird didn't even matter. I was outraged at how heartless the staff is there. I called this veterinary office to inquire about neutering my kitten. The receptionist/staff (named Chrissy or Kristi?) who answered the phone was very distracted. It wasn't until we had talked for a few minutes with having to repeat everything I said when she asks to call me back because she was trying to handle a dog. She should've answered and asked to put me on hold, took care of the dog, then returned to the call, or had someone else take care of the call. She calls me back and there was something about her tone that made it sound like I was inconveniencing her. There is always background with each review that expresses complaint, but there is also always a basis on how people should treat each other. I am a customer who called to ask a couple of questions and make an appointment; that does not warrant irritation and bad customer service. I understand if she was having a bad day, but all it takes is communication, self-control, and maturity to help someone out. At the end of the phone call, I ended up cancelling my appointment. It's true that most people who work in veterinary offices love animals and would never mistreat them, but that doesn't mean you get to mistreat people for not being animals. This would've been a good experience if I felt like she wanted my business. read more

I have found my new vet!! I took in my baby, teacup Yorkie Rocco yesterday to have his ears looked at and from the moment I walked in to the moment we left the service was impeccable!! Christy was absolutely AWESOME!! Her customer service skills are on point. She was very gentle with our Rocco and very nice and informative to us. Dr. Bath is absolutely lovely! She is so compassionate and caring and patient. We were in and out of the office very fast and Rocco is on the road to getting better. It makes me sad and really confused to read some of the negatives reviews, but I am a true believer that to get respect you have to give it. And some customers feel they are entitled to behave in a rude fashion and just because you are a business you have to take it, and that is very unfair. I went here twice and would not go again. Dr Bath was ok but she insisted the problem was fleas on my cat and yet not a flea could be found. The receptionist was strange. My husband came in the 2nd time with me and she looked at him and said "who are you?" Made hime feel weird.
