I can't express how amazing the experience my boyfriend and I had for our anniversary here yesterday. We had never been here before and it didn't not disappoint. From the service, to the food, the drinks, I could go on. I am horrible with names but our waitress was amazing, she even told us it was her first serving shift & she didn't outstanding. They came over and handed us a little card that said happy anniversary and everybody that worked there signed it as well, such a nice touch. We celebrated my husband's birthday here last week and were so glad we did. Dining room was busy, but we were seated right away for our 6:45 reservation. Our server Tim was attentive, but not hovering. We ordered a bruschetta appetizer and loved it. Nice crusty bread and flavorful toppings... "best I've ever had," my DC proclaimed. We shared a very good house salad. The shrimp scampi was a winner, as was the chicken rosa, with a nice crust and red pepper cream sauce. We enjoyed the vibe. It was a bit noisy, but with the sounds of diners enjoying their meals. We definitely plan to return. read more

Wow. This Italian restaurant is special. Our first (but not last) time here we had scallops perfectly cooked, the decadent one pound lasagna and the rotini bolognese with a meatball. For drinks we had the pineapple upside down cake martini. Portions were generous and so delicious I wanted to lick the plate. Servers were friendly and attentive. Large and classy decor. We went on a Friday night it was very busy, however the server didn't rush us at all. Started off with Arancini balls these had a great flavor was served with a red tomato sauce. Second appetizer was Fried calamari it was very lightly dusted fried perfectly. Second course was Wedding soup and Caesar salad. Both were good salad was a bit small for the price of $10.00. Main course was Filet Mignon which was grill perfectly it had a seasoned butter on it which melted quickly over the steak. It was severed with Garlic potatoes and Italian green beans. I also added the Scallops which went well with the meal. Then onto the Tuscan Chilean Seabass which came served over a mushroom risotto and sautéed spinach. Also on top was fresh tomato's which added a nice pop to the meal. The seabags was cooked nicely and just flaked apart, so tender. For dessert went with the Limoncello cheesecake, the lemon was a bold punch over a creamy cheesecake it was delicious. I must talk about the dining room Manger (sorry forgot her name) she was all over checking how food was, making sure every guest was having a great experience. Excellent service from our waiter David. Owners stopped by our table several times to ask how everything was. Food was delicious, wine was on point. Chocolate cake w/ vanilla gelato was moist and very rich. Pricey, but the service and food quality was what you'd expect at this price point. We reserved the private banquet room for a rehearsal dinner. We were going back and forth between which venue to choose, and we are so grateful we made Vittoria the choice. Communication from Liz was amazing, she took over for another and didn't miss a beat. She did things above and beyond what was expected, and was impeccable with all services. She was in contact immediately, even if I sent an email at 4 am. The servers for our dinner were Chase and River. Again, amazing service from beginning to end. They did a lot of extra things that were unexpected. They were so friendly and service oriented. Extremely experienced and excellent cake cutters! The food is amazing, one lasagna portion could feed 3 people. There were so many leftovers, but they boxed and bagged them professionally and also boxed appetizers and cake for us. The homemade bread and oil were the best we've had, and we are Italian. I truly recommend Vittoria for a private banquet. There is no better place in Columbus to host your party. Appetizers consisted of calamari and mussels and both were superb! Salads were Vittorias salad and wedge salad and were delicious. Wonderful place! Took my family and in laws on Valentines Day (party of 7). The sangria is great, appetizers are excellent, food was delicious. All dishes are very authentic and the servers are very friendly and knowledgeable. Even the owner came by to check how everything was. All our plates were excellent (beal pasta, lasagna, halibut). Got takeout here for our anniversary dinner on a busy Saturday night. It was really good and I would give it five stars but there were a couple of small caveats, nothing that would stop me from returning here and trying out the dine-in experience. I ordered the chicken marsala which was lovely, the chicken was tender and flavorful and cooked perfectly. The fettuccine it came with was good, not anything to awe over, but it was a nice addition to the meal. My husband got the shrimp scampi and I tasted some of his. The risotto was tasty but the shrimp were slightly overcooked, unfortunately. Other than that the dish had good flavor but lacked salt, so easily remedied. We also got the calamari which was tasty, although the dipping sauce was just okay. Our meals came with some tasty bread and overall it was a good experience, we'll come back again to eat again someday! read more

Had a gift card for Vittoria as a Christmas present so we decidee d to use it on Friday. Based on Yelp reviews we made a reservation. We showed up early which was not a problem they weren't really busy so we we sat right away. The restaurant has a chain vibe no real atmosphere. The menu is typical for a Italian/American eatery nothing really jumped out at you, in my option a little pricey compared to other similar restaurant's. This was my first visit to Vittoria. I was celebrating my cousins birthday. I was very impressed on how they were able to seat a large party with last minute reservations. We only had to wait a half hour to be seated. Very friendly staff and management. However the lighting was very dim. So dim that is had to use my phone light to see the menu to order. I like to drink sweet tea with my meals when dining out but they did not serve sweet tea; they only had unsweetened tea. We were served our drinks timely. After about 20 minutes the bread and dipping oil was served. The bread came out warm & soft. When it was time to order our entree, I ordered the Norwegian Salmon. The entree consisted of grilled Salmon, sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes. The salmon was a little overcooked and salty; spinach was salty also and of potatoes were overdone. Maybe a bad night with the cooks? The others entrrees on the table looked very appetizing so I'm willing to give this place another try. The waitress was pleasant and availed herself to take a picture of our group. Overall the staff and management was very nice and accommodating. I think I picked the wrong entree for the night. read more

I made reservations tonight for my and my granddaughters birthday and even mentioned it at reservation time. It was a lovely ambience when our party of six arrived and we could see the dining room had at least eight empty tables. The hostess then proceeded to seat us in the room off to the side, away from the ambience. More like a large closet. Shocked, we said we had a reservation. She said all the other tables had reservations too and that the tables in the actual dining room were saved for special server requests. This is actually the second time this has happened to me there. We left, went to LaScala where we were welcomed and had a lovely dinner in a great atmosphere with delicious food. IMO they need to redesign their closet/private room. Perhaps a wall of French doors that can be opened to the dining room and closed for private corporate meetings... or whatever that room was designed for. read more

On-point Chicken Marsala It's rare that you find an Italian restaurant that reminds you of the exquisite difference between real Italian cuisine and the spaghetti served at chain restaurants. To say Vittoria's food was great would be a gross understatement. We sat in the bar to enjoy live music by a talented singer and keyboardist whose repertoire ranged from Sinatra to Sting. Though it got a bit loud (mostly due to a cluster of drunk divorcees) by the time we were leaving, we knew that that was part of the bar experience. Vittorio, the owner, came by several times during our meal to welcome us and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We began with the quite respectable house cabernet and calamari appetizer. I've had calamari at many of Columbus' fine restaurants, and all too often it's thinly sliced and rubbery with the breading being the star rather than the squid. This calamari was fabulous. Thick, tender rings and crunchy tentacles with tangy aioli and deceptively simple pomodoro dipping sauces. For dinner, my date and I had eggplant parmigiana and chicken marsala. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I took my first bite of chicken, put my fork down, and said "Oh my God." It was earthy, peppery, and slightly sweet from the marsala wine with thinly sliced fresh mushrooms over a generous portion of tender chicken. A literal flavor bomb! The eggplant parmigiana was perfectly crispy and well seasoned. As it was my date's birthday, we enjoyed a complimentary limoncello to finish the night. Though Vittoria's is a bit more expensive than we can afford for a normal date night, we'll certainly be back here for our next special occasion. I see that they have osso bucco on special once a week. I bet its as incredible as the marsala! read more

This is a conflicting review. My girlfriend and I decided to go to Vitroria for our anniversary. The food we actually were able to order, was quite good. The problem is that we sought this restaurant out specifically for their gnocchi dish on their menu. We both love gnocchi and we were looking forward to trying it. It's really why we went here. Unfortunately, on a Saturday night at peak hours, they informed us they were out of the gnocchi when we attempted to order it. We were very let down. Fortunately, the food we did have, (ravioli and eggplant parm) was quite solid. It was just unfortunate that the main thing we went there for was "sold out". If you're set on trying something you see on Vittoria's menu, I definitely recommend calling beforehand to make sure they have it, just to be safe. read more

After about 25-30 minutes I asked when my food would be out (there was no more than 5 people at the bar when I arrived so I felt that was a generous amount of time to wait). My boyfriend and I decided to take a chance on seating last Friday night and we were completely satisfied with sitting in the lounge. When we arrived the lounge was full but the staff quickly moved a high top pub table over for us to sit at and enjoy what was left of happy hour. I can't say enough about the amazing customer service at every level. Even an owner stopped at our table to ask us if we needed anything and to thank us for coming out and dining with Vittoria. Danielle was a standout in the entire experience and took care of us well. We ordered a bottle of wine and three appetizers. The complementary crusty bread and dipping oil was appreciated. All of our food was spot on delicious. The live music was enjoyable and added to the overall ambiance of the beautiful restaurant. Only giving 3 stars because we've had amazing food here in the past. Visited tonight (Saturday before Valentine's) and ordered dishes we both raved over before (Chicken Rosa and Gnocchi), but this time it was very disappointing. Definitely not worth the price we paid. We actually were so excited to come we made 2 reservations (one for tonight and one for valentines night) but went up front to cancel the 2nd one. We were in and out in under 30 minutes (as if they were trying to rush us out the door). The Rosa sauce tasted like Velveeta cheese on chicken with undercooked asparagus and the gnocchi had very watery bolognese sauce. Extremely disappointed. The waiter offered to get something else but didn't comp the meal (I wasn't going to take a chance on a 3rd disappointing meal. read more

they bought la scala italian restaurant some years ago which was a great italian restaurant and the closed it down - it is a church now? so the last time we were at vittoria we were the only people innthe intire dining room! several people were on the patio and 3-4 people in the bar- food was ok but someday i hope they will reopen la scala as they had a great italian lunch buffet an great dinners as well!! it was its own stand alone building and not a row location! sorry but vittoria is not for us and then tooo far away!!! read more
