I really wish the food was better here. They've been here a long time and I've only been a handful of times. My friend and I decided to go for lunch the other day. Service is friendly and good. The food is not. They have a Business Lunch menu which consists of a salad or soup, entree, and dessert. This costs about $15.00 depending on which entree you choose. For starters, the bread was stale, cold, and dry. It is served with a marinara sauce, also cold. I ordered soup with my Chicken Marsala. It was Minestrone with no noodles and no taste. The Chicken Marsala looked great. Unfortunately, the chicken was so dry I could hardly eat it. My friend had the Mushroom Ravioli. She said the sauce had absolutely no flavor and that she's had better at Olive Garden. Dessert was a couple of little Cannoli's. Those were just ok. We both decided that we won't be back. read more

Friendliness and attentiveness of staff is superb! Dawn was out server and she was wonderful and the host who also took my reservation on the phone was very friendly when we walked in and allowed us to choose our seat. I give their serve 5 stars!! As far as the tastiness of heir food, unfortunately I can only give 3 stars. It was mediocre, at best. The bread was not a fresh made bread that I have typically had at other Italian restaurants. The marinara sauce to dip it in was rather sweet. As far as the main dishes, I got gluten free pasta and meatballs sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. The Parmesan cheese tasted amazing! The marinara sauce on the pasta was bland. The meatballs were very good and tasty. The gluten pasta seemed unevenly cooked--some mushy and some just right. As for my friend's dish, hers was chicken Milanese. The chicken was breaded but tasted plain to me. She also got a side of Alfredo linguine and the Alfredo sauce tasted rather floury and flavorless. I really commend the restaurant for having high quality customer service employees. They're very on point and exceed service standards. However, I've been to many Italian places and as for the food, would consider it at best, average. I have to give 4 stars for quality of service I received (5 star service, but food 3 stars) brings us to a 4 star score. read more

After returning to Vittorio's on Friday night, I sadly have to remove one star from my rating. This recent visit was far less impressive than my previous one, which actually almost earned five stars. My boyfriend and I arrived around 7 without reservations and, despite the restaurant appearing to be quite full, were seated within five minutes. We received, as usual, complimentary hot, fresh bread and a delicious marinara dipping sauce. Unfortunately, the meal began to go downhill from here. We ordered the Caesar Salad and Bruscetta Duo for appetizers and were disappointed with both. The salad had very little dressing and hardly any flavor. My boyfriend's bruscetta didn't taste fresh either. My entree wasn't any better. Since I enjoyed my Farfalle al Pesto e Pollo so much last time, I ordered it again. Sadly, it was not the same dish that I remembered. The sauce seemed watery and lacked any taste. It's advertised as being a creamy pesto but it seemed like the cream was missing. I ate a couple of bites and brought the rest home to fix up with extra alfredo sauce. I also ordered a side of garlic bread with my meal and it was quite good. But when the only thing that I enjoyed from the meal was bread, there's definitely a problem. Had I not visited before and had such a good first experience, I likely would give Vittorio's a two star rating. But I'll give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and hope that they were simply having an off-night. read more

Food really lacks flavor. We had chicken piccata and papardelle with short rib ragu and both were bland and flavorless. Even my kids wouldn't eat their grilled chicken and burger. They also serve ketchup in little packets which is odd for a table service restaurant. The only good thing here was the service. We won't be coming back read more

There's not much to do or hang out in good ol' yuppie Carmel Valley after 6p. But the tiny little bar here has been a nice place to go to for HH w/ a friend. She actually came here one night by herself (Fri night i believe) and just had a glass of wine and apps. According to her, she said the ppl were cool and the place is really chill. So we went back last night. Happy Hour is all night long Mondays! We were excited b/c glasses of house reds/whites were only $3. And they had about 12 tapas for HH. Disappointingly, the tapas were really ridiculously tiny. We had: - fried baby artichoke: not much to talk about here. It was one itty bitty baby artichoke, stripped down, on a plate w/ some sort of olive oil/garlic sauce. - caprese: One piece of mozzarella on one piece of tomato. Literally. Over some greens and carrots (who puts carrots in caprese?). A real let down - Fried ravioli stuffed w/ artichoke and cheese: This was so-so. Tasted like a deep fried Italian won ton. Came w/ a side of marinara sauce. We did order 2 entrees: - special of the night : Filet Mignon w/ mushroom sauce (originally it was Gorgonzola sauce but I opted for the red mushroom sauce): Filet was cooked perfected but not seasoned well. Had to add salt to the Filet and the steamed veggies that came w/ it. Mushroom sauce was decent. - Spaghetti Carbonara : my friend said this was super bland and not the way the dish should have tasted. They used Italian bacon but the 'egg' taste of the Carbonara sauce was missing somehow. We sat in the bar and Brian, the bartender, was awesome. We've had him everytime we sit at the bar and he's friendly and funny. Nice, diverse group of ppl were there last night. Not sure if I'd try their HH tapas anymore. I don't remember the price of anything as my friend picked up the tab but whatever was paid for the tapas felt too much for what was given to us. I've been here w/ my sister and her family many times for dinner and haven't been impressed w/ their entrees. But my sis likes this place and it is kid friendly. Not easy to find a restaurant w/ a decent bar here in CV. So for now, this will be my neighborhood hangout. read more

It's been almost a year since my last review of this place. And during that time, my wife and I have come here at least once a month. Often times though, it's just her sending me to pick up a pizza pie when I'm in the area. It is easily our favorite pizza of any place we've been. We've had a few other things on the menu that we loved as well, but their pepperoni pizza rocks! Anybody in this area should try it if you haven't already. read more

My girlfriend and I was craving Italian food today. We found Vittorio's located in LaJolla. For an appetizer, we had a meat and cheese platter. According to my girlfriend whom is Italian said it was generic. The small lasagna was enough for us to share and it was delicious. In addition we got an order of cheese bread that was used to dip in the marinara sauce. The prices were reasonable, portions big , and delivery was excellent. To keep prices down, everything was done in house, meaning the delivery was done by them. I appreciate the fact that I am given the opportunity to support a small business . We will definitely order again and try different things. Thanks again for great customer service. read more

Lackluster flavorless pizza and pasta and to make matters worse the server had the nerve to charge me for ingredients that were already in the meal. RED FLAG! The icing on the cake was the extremely unsanitary restrooms. Looked like a tornado mixed with diseases inside. Will Not be back. Too many upscale Italian restaurants that get it right the FIRST time. read more

We had Vittorio's catered for my bridal shower today! The food was absolutely amazing! Victor was so awesome to work with. We highly recommend them for your next party! Sadly we forgot to take photos of the food, but we got chicken skewers, meatballs, pesto pasta, meat and cheese plate, garlic bread, Italiano salad and the spinach salad. I'm done with this place. This WAS one of my favorite Italian go-to places, but no longer. We went on Mother's Day and yes, it was full. Reservations was at 6:45p but didn't get seated till 6:55p. Ordered right away for a family of 6. Bread, drinks & appetizer was brought out quick, but utensils wasn't set until we asked about it. After the initial food was done, we waited...and waited. Gave them the benefit of the doubt. The table of 8 in front of me, & the table of 4 to my right were seated after us, yet they were able to receive their food, finish it, mingle, then leave before we even received our order. FINALLY!!! After over an hour of waiting after the orders were placed, the food comes out. The cheese on the pizza my son ordered was cold & hard. We waited so long, my husband and I were no longer hungry & only took a few bites. My husband was clearly upset. I told him to leave a $20 tip (gratuity was $27.+ change). He wanted to leave $00.00, but left $10 & a note written on the paper covering the table stating "It took over 1hr to get our food". This was truly a miserable time to experience this type of service on Mother's Day. Such a disappointment. read more

Since 2003, and have always had a great meal and experience with awesome service. For the past couple years I've brought my girlfriend to the restaurant for nice meals with family and friends. After getting engaged we were searching for a venue that could accommodate 70 guests for our wedding party. We were looking for a venue were we could have a sit down meal, a private bar, music and dancing. Vitttorios was able to accommodate us wonderfully!!! Vitttorios owner, Victor, accommodated all of our requests and we never felt nervous that we would not end up with a great wedding reception for all of our family and friends to enjoy. Victor, his chefs and staff are the best you will find. Plus we didn't have to spend $10k or more to reserve the venue like most locations want for a wedding reception. I had to put a second review since I moved all the way to Clairemont and I used to live the next exit away from here . Alex,Mexican Daniel, Spain Daniel are my favorite waiters . The moment you walk in your greeted like long time friends being reunited (very refreshing and great first impression.) The vibe is neat and screams old school italian but with a romantic twist haha but I loved it! The hubs and I thought we check it out on a whim and I'm glad we did it actually turned into a nice date night dinner (excluding the cute date outfits.) Being pregnant I crave spaghetti and meatballs ALL the time...so tah-dah guess what I ordered. The spaghetti and meatballs!! & boy was it delicious. I was very pleased with the taste and portion size. Craving satisfied (temporarily of course lol) Hubs ordered Farfalle al Pesto e Pollo Bow tie pasta with sundried tomatoes and grilled chicken in a creamy pesto sauce. That was pretty dang good too!! Overall we really enjoyed our meal here. The food was delicious and the service was out of this world. Although the prices are above average. I do think it is within reason when you consider the quality of both the food and service. P.S. They bring fresh bread and marinara sauce to die for after you order. Love this restaurant! Beautiful atmosphere, attentive staff and EXCELLENT food (and wine!!). The chef is amazing!! I absolutely enjoy the lunch specials, as well as the Tuesday night date specials for two. Seafood dishes are out of this world!! Salmon always cooked to perfection and the linguine Al vongole --- mouth watering delicious. Sometimes I venture into the classics - the lasagnas and spaghettis are spot on too. PLUS, Vittorio's has monthly wine dinners. If you've never done one, find a friend and go! You won't be disappointed. Heck, go alone and meet new friends - just go!! read more

A number of people had recommended this place, and I wasn't disappointed! Service was very careful and attentive. I went on a Tuesday, and they were doing a date nice special of two entrees and a bottle of wine for $35. The four of did that deal twice and were very impressed. Both red wines offered in the deal were very good. I had the salmon, which was incredibly tender and flavorful. My dining partners had the chicken and steak dishes and raved about them as well. I followed it up with their version of creme brûlée, which was to die for. Next time in town, I will definitely come back. read more

My passport card suggested this place. Had a lovely luncheon here! Great parking! Easy location to get to. Friendly people work there. And they have gluten free options! Very nice! Wish they had gluten free bread.... they did bring out a gf pizza crust as "flat bread". Nice wine list. All around very nice place to have lunch! Perhaps dinner. read more

Out family adores Vittorios and Victor. We have been going there for Valentines with my kids for over 10 years. It feels kind home and the food is delicious. Thank you for all the love and hard work placed into this restaurant/ 2nd home. We love everyone working there and their chocolate lava cake, parpadelle, meatballs, family packages (which helped us survive the C19 pandemia) and the atmosphere. read more

We first tried Vittorio's during COVID, and kept reordering until we'd tried almost all their appetizers and a few entrees and desserts. Everything was good, but we LOVED ordering the calamari with spicy marinara sauce (we asked for extra spicy and got it!). We live within 10 minutes of the restaurant and it was always hot, tender and delicious! Delivery courteous, fast and friendly. But things have changed...our last three orders were undercooked, rubbery and bland. Once? -- potentially a mistake. Twice? concerning and maybe they forgot the extra spicy part.., but last night was the third time in 2-3 months. means VIttorio's has lost our business. Prices are noticeably higher (but that's not the deal breaker) it's the quality of the calamari itself and the cooking technique that has changed. It was undercooked, so the light crust got soggy quickly in transportation and easily peels/falls off. The rings were so rubbery we could shoot them like rubber bands! At least our dog liked it. read more

When I point out none of this is advertised anywhere, I'm informed it's on Open Table, and that we should've seen it there, and were dismissed. They said they could give us another restaurant recommendation and then proceeded to just dismiss us without even that courtesy. We go back to verify this age limit, and it's there... one TINY line 2 scrolls down on the page, WAY beyond any of the information needed to just book a table, which is the only thing Open Table is used for. Complete waste of time for a poorly advertised bar with zero helpful staff on a dumpy street by the airport.

Recently visited Villa Capri 2, and I would definately recommend this spot. Homestyle Italian Food with very generous portions. We had a family style dinner that included a lasagna, ceasar salad and & garlic bread all for 24.95!!! they offer this deal sunday and mondays. I also tried the calamari app and it was fabulous. Awesome happy hour and fantastic deals!!!. Our server Sal, made our family feel rght at home and gave us great attention. Very patient with my kids :) .
