The spot inside itself was cool and the staff were very patient and polite, so no complaints there. Personally, I did not like the Oreo drink. I expected it to taste a little sweeter, I suppose, but it mostly tasted milky and not very good unfortunately, so I can't recommend it. That said, I won't pull down stars just because I didn't like one drink. My friend said her passion fruit was pretty good and though I didn't take a picture of it, my boyfriend got a strawberry slush, and that was amazing. If I ever pop by in the neighborhood again, that's what I'd get!

Came here on a Friday after work because I was craving brown sugar milk tea. I ordered ahead for pickup. The store itself is small but cute. There are so many different menus on the walls. There isn't a seating area but there is a long couch and a counter against the opposite wall if you'd like to stay for a few minutes. The girls who were working there were nice. I arrived early so they just politely let me know my order would be ready in a few minutes. I got the flaming brown sugar milk tea, popcorn chicken (pepper salt flavor), and fries. I took my food to go and meet someone nearby. The chicken and fries came in bags with longer toothpicks to stick and eat, almost street vendor style. This would make it convenient to eat on the go. I actually prefer this packaging to take the food a short distance because no condensation forms. By the time I got to the location, they were still crispy. The flaming brown sugar milk tea was exactly what I was hoping it would be. It was sweet without being too sweet. You can also adjust the level of sugar and ice you want. I just got normal for both. The fries were good. They didn't do anything different to them so they were just normal fries. The flavor of the chicken was good. I'll probably want to try the spicy flavor next. Both the fries and chicken were crispy and I could tell they were freshly made. I think the price is fair for what you get. The portion for the fries and chicken were good and could be shared between 2 people. They were $7.95 and $8.95 respectively. I paid $8.75 for the large brown sugar milk tea. It's a bit pricey in my opinion. However, it was for a large and tasted delicious. It honestly might be the same price as other shops nowadays. I'll definitely return when my craving for brown sugar milk tea returns.

My favorite bubble tea spot. I am a regular and they never get the bubble tea wrong... I'm a big fan of Taro milk tea with boba. The staff is super nice too. Haven't yet tried the food items here but they look interesting.

Not sure why this is rated so low. The service was so fast. I know that this is a no frills place and basically all take out items. But what more can you expect from a bubble tea place. I asked what drinks have no caffeine and they gave me a separate menu. I was like wow, other place would just tell me what I can get from menu. This place just whips out a separate menu. If I'm ever in the area, I'll get another drink again.

For what I ordered, I give a 4/5 star experience. I got the strawberry slushee and their curly fries. The fries were seasoned, nothing overwhelming and hot. The packaging it comes in makes it pretty convenient to eat on the go. The slushee was refreshing and delicious without being toothache sweet as most berry slushees are. The service was good. They were nice and polite which is always appreciated. I can't tell if it was because I came during their slower hours but their chairs and decor seemed to be moved to the side, like an afterthought. Other than that it's cute and subtle. I'd bring a friend to talk over another good drink. My friend had their boba and was pleasantly impressed.

So if you drink a little too much Vivi As in, if you drink as much as Me-me You'll say within a minute "Where's the bathroom", then be in it As you desperately expel your pee-pee. This was a super friendly Vivi, and I took shelter here from a rainstorm in New York's beautiful, wet asphalt smell and soaked streets. Such nice people, and lovely teas that they made me as well. It was pouring with rain outside so it was a nice refuge, and even though it was closer to closing time than I wanted it to be, they treated me wonderfully after a long walk in the rain, and I will definitely come back on the regular basis for their excellent bobas. And now for some rap: If you are the lock, I have the KEY-VI If you're Anthony Kaedis, I am the FLEA-VI And unlike freedom, this isn't the FREE-VI So try the mixed fruit drink here at VIVI If you are Edam, I'll be the BRIE-VI If you're the princess, I must be the PEA-VI If you want sausage, you know I'll bring the D-VI But if you want fruit tea, come and try VIVI I ran here so fast, I blew out the KNEE-VI It hurt so bad, like the EMERGENCY-VI But I said no, don't call the EMT-VI Cause first I want some yummy fruit tea from VIVI

The blue galaxy is perfect for this heatwave we are having in New York! It's the perfect combination of sweet and a bit sour because of the lemonade. It's incredibly refreshing with the type of ice inside, a slushy texture that goes easily through the straw. Delicious and refreshing! The inside is pretty small and was crowded the entire time. I would say that you shouldn't expect to be able to eat here but overall it was an easy process. Despite all the people in front of me, I got my drink at a relatively decent time.

Wow! The best popcorn chicken I had outside of Taiwan! Came here and got the matcha red bean milk tea and the salt and pepper popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken was very crispy and loaded with flavor and super yummy. I'm craving for more now just thinking about it. The matcha milk tea was good too. Only complaint is it was very busy when I got there and it's a small place and everyone waited inside. No social distancing. Perhaps they should enforce limiting the amount of people that can wait inside at once. Ill be back for sure!

This ViVi Bubble Tea location is so cute! The graphics on the menu, the décor, and the general ambience of the place screams cuteness overload. Plus, they've got K-Pop playing while you wait - what's not to love? It helps that the shop is clean with a good amount of seating. About the tea - it's so good! i'm not a fan of bubbles or cold drinks, so i can only opine on the hot Thai milk and almond milk teas that we got. Oh my goodness - i could drink the almond milk tea forever. It's so smooth and wasn't overly sweet. Their process also made sure that there wasn't any weird residue left behind. i was so impressed - i can't wait to go back and try more flavors. It was also good to notice lots of patrons near the shop enjoying their teas. Clearly ViVi Bubble Tea is a welcome addition to this neighborhood. Minus one star: The shop could benefit from better customer service. The girl who took my order was very indifferent and seemed like she couldn't be bothered - no pleasantries or politeness, and she brusquely handed me back my card and receipt. Not a good look in an otherwise pleasant setting. Overall though, lovely shop with great tea.

Bubble tea is great, but a lot of times the popcorn chicken is left raw or very undercooked. Have thrown up a few times because of it

When I first came here and read the menu I was really excited. They had quite a variety of drinks as well as many tasty sounding snacks. It was a bit pricy, but my friends and I decided to give some of them a try. Sadly, I wasn't too thrilled with what we did order. I would consider coming back though and giving it a try or maybe going to another location because they do have so many options on the menu.

I came here and ordered a drink and the girl gave me a wrong drink. They are bad with English. And then I came up to give them the unopened drink, she said we have to order another drink and pay for another one. Worst customer service. We have been to many franchise of this location and always order the same drink. They claim to call it a different name here. Go to a different location. There's several in this city. read more

A small and cute hole in the wall establishment on 70th street and 2nd Avenue. Although it was cold I craved bubble tea and stopped in to satisfy my craving. The hip-hop beats playing in the background made me even more of a fan of this place. They not only sell bubble teas, their menu also includes Ramen, Fried Chicken, Taiwanese BBQ Sausage, and so much more. I wasn't that hunger but I'll definitely be coming back to try out more of their menu. read more

Stopped by here after dinner for a quick refreshing heat as it had been a hot sunny day and the place was quite popular as all the seats were occupied but we did not wait in line long as it seemed orders were processed rather quickly. We ordered a lychee slush with jellies and oolong milk tea with bobas. My sister was promptly served her drink while mine took a minute of wait-time. The drinks were atypical of bubble tea places and we thoroughly enjoyed them. You are able to customize the tea of flavors and additional toppings you'd like to add (50¢ ea), as well as the sugar intake level (%). read more

Absolutely convenient location right off the 72nd Q station. Great assortment of drinks and food. (Also great for a quick lunch.) Small location with a few seats for dining in. Don't forget to ask for a stamp card if you frequent this location! No minimum for card purchases. read more

Not sure why this place has such bad reviews. I met up with my friend here and had a good experience. They made our bubble tea and food really quickly. I hardly had finished paying and I had already gotten my order. Space was clean. Maybe small but most ppl got their bubble tea to go. The bubble tea was good and made the way I requested it. I love Vivi Bubble Tea and was happy when I came across this location as it's not too far from my college. I usually get strawberry slush with mango popping boba and it's yummy! I also like the popcorn chicken, but would like it to be a little more crispy! And I find the music quite fun, they usually play Kpop which I love! Only bummer is that they don't do student discount. read more

The price is average and in a pinch it's a great option for bubble tea in the area. That being said, the cashier did t ask how I wanted it and my drink was overly sweet. I got the taro w red bean and boba and my friend got some passion fruit slushy thing that was overly sweet. Boba was a bit firm but okay. They had a B grade but the inside looked clean and what I could see if the back looked decent. They also have a loyalty card which is nice and you can get snacks too so it's not just bubble tea. It's a bit too loud for studying but there are lots of tea options. I wish they had popping boba though. read more

I normally don't support Vivi Bubble Tea but I think I've changed my mind. For one thing, I've noticed that most of the bubble tea places I go to have started to cut down on the drinks. They are usually not filled to the top. Back then, I'd spill some of the drink when I stabbed my straw through because the drink was filled to the brim. While this is not the case for the drinks from the bubble tea places I frequent, today, my lychee green tea was completely filled. I also liked how I could still taste the green tea behind the lychee flavor, but the lychee was strong enough to mask most of the usual bitterness fro the tea. Sadly though, I'm still not skilled enough to finish the popping boba before finishing the drink My friend also got the red bean matcha. It tasted good and was refreshing, but it could have had a little bit more aloe. Finally, I also got the popcorn chicken. It was hot and crispy. Maybe I'm not used to eating fried foods, but after a few pieces, the friedness was starting to get to me. In my opinion, this treat is meant to be shared. read more

Was SO excited to hear that a bubble tea place was finally opening off the 72nd St Q stop! Always go for a hot regular bubble milk tea when I stop by Vivi's. I tried one from this location just to see how the quality goes. It's on par with other Vivi's hot bubble tea I've had, and though it's still not the best boba I've had in New York, it definitely hits the spot and is perfect for when I got off the subway on 70th St. Great location, consistent boba, I'll be back! read more

The place is too tight for strollers . The bubble tea was good. Refreshing when it's all hot. They have some dimsum but I didn't order. Place was clean. Too many machineries used to make a cup of drink! Haha! I find it expensive but I love bubble teas.the staff were nice and friendly. I will visit the store again for sure. Stopped by twice last week to check this place out. It was my first time ever having gone to Vivi B. I think the only other place that I've been to often is Kung Fu. I tried their 3Q which is my new fave. I didn't know I needed jelly and pudding along with bubbles in my milk tea until that I tried that. It was soooo good. I'm a fan of the way their prepare their tapioca pearls - they don't overly sweeten them. I think Kung Fu Tea uses honey when preparing the tapioca balls so I always found their bubble teas to be too much for me. I had the popcorn chicken as well. Probably won't go back for that again though. I had gone with two friends the first time I went to Vivi and we all got different kinds of popcorn chicken. I had the curry while they got the pepper/salt and spicy. Tbh, they all kind of tasted the same to me. For $4 though, they do give you a lot so that's a plus. The next time I go, I think I'm going to try their bento boxes or the other snacks. read more

Took a nice long walk here to get some long over due bubble tea. A pleasant surprise to see they were open after being closed throughout the pandemic. Was going to get bubble tea through the plastic terminal they set up for social distancing and safety. But after looking inside. I SAW THE MAN MAKING THE BUBBLE TEA WAS NOT WEARING A MASK. he had the mask on his chin but he should have put it on properly while handling drinks. I decided to leave without ordering. I CAN RISK THE CALORIES BUT NOT MY HEALTH. WEAR YOUR MASKS CORRECTLY PLEASE (especially when preparing others food items). read more

I haven't had any Vivi bubble tea before, although I have literally seen it everywhere. I ordered Thai Milk Tea. The milk tea is pretty creamy and sweet, although I already ordered for 30%. Nothing surprised me. Just regular good. read more

After my experience last night, I no longer want to come here. It's a shame since I really like their bubble tea and some other things. The lady working as the cashier lost my reward card, and nothing was done to remedy this. I handed her my reward card so she could stamp it and the cash as I paid for my order. When she finished she just handed my back my change and receipt, no reward card. They were busy making drinks so I figured maybe she will stamp it and give it back when she finished helping with the drinks. Part of my order comes out and I ask her about my card when she's back at the register, but she says all she has are the blank ones. Now I know I'm not crazy, but I check in my wallet where I usually put it anyway, and in my pockets and bag, and even the floor to see if I dropped it. It was not there obviously. After the other part of my order comes out I ask again and ask her if she's sure she didn't drop it. She says no again. I left after that because I didn't want to argue or cause a scene. Now I know it's just a free small regular tea you get when it's full, but it's the principle of it. It had a lot of stamps on it too. I wasn't lying, or trying to beg anyone a favor, etc. The least they could have done was either ask me if I know about how many stamps were on it and given me a new one with them, or given me a new one with a few on it at least and an apology. You think they'd care more about repeat customers, but no apparently not. I will not be back here. read more

I would give them 5 stars for the milk tea and boba alone. It was hard to find a good boba place in the area and these guys are the best I've had so far. The milk tea is good, tastes like it could be real tea (not the bad powdered milk tea that a lot of other places have). The boba is nearly perfect, nice size and chewy texture. The only reason I took a star off my review is because of the service. They could be friendlier. read more

I didn't know there was a bubble tea place on the UES until recently, so now I've been coming here 2-3 times a week. They have many tea and topping options to choose from, but the real star is the popcorn chicken! There are, I think, 5 flavors and I'm completely addicted to the standard salt and pepper one. The Taiwanese pork chops and dumplings were also tasty. They also have a loyalty card but it's only for that location, which is a little disappointing but whatevs. read more

Came here for quick snack and ordered VV bubble milk tea and spicy popcorn chicken. The chicken was too undercooked (picture) and I asked the two girls if possible, can I exchange? One of them said the meat is okay and no exchange. What a disappointing response to customer. Definitely not coming here again !!!!!! read more

This spot is super convenient to get to from the 2 avenue subway! There aren't a ton of uptown bubble tea joints, so I'm super excited to have found these guys! They have a pretty wide selection of bubble teas and smoothies etc, more of which I have to try, but their Thai Iced tea and black milk tea (which are my usual go-to's for bubble tea) are both delicious. read more

I came here on my way to Starbucks down the block and saw this spot and decided, hey, this sounds interesting and looks fun. Since it was chilly, I decided to get a hot tea. First impression: the spot is cute and looks fun. 2. The names and flavors on the menu with the added idea of "bubbles" I decided to try. I got the kumquat lemon hot tea. When the cashier handed me my cup, I immediately looked for the sugar station, couldn't find one. There's a reason for, the tea and is uber sweet and the added "bubbles" just gave the tea texture, not necessarily flavor. I'm not a fan of the "bubbles". Maybe I'll try the food next time and a cold bubble tea. read more

Tried out the famous Taiwanese drink, "Bubble Tea," today at Vivi Bubble Tea and i gotta admit, it was amazing!! A ton of my friend's recommended trying it the drink and I was initially skeptical, but that came to an end today! I asked the cashier to choose her favorite for me and she picked the Coconut Milk Bubble Tea & it was delicious, not too sweet, and filled with tons of gummy bubbles :) also, amazingly friendly staff...I will definitely be coming back here next time I'm in the city. read more

Got a matcha bubble tea with bubbles and wanted pudding and they didn't put the pudding in! Not only that but the matcha bubble tea was disgusting!!! Threw the rest of it out couldn't drink it. read more

The boba milk tea and the popcorn chicken with rice were good and affordable. So why the 1 star? When I got my boba milk tea, there was barely any ice in it and all of the ice melted within a few minutes. Then, when I asked if I could have a cup of ice on the side, the worker said that it would cost me $1. Are you kidding me? This is cheapness on a whole other level. I have never experienced anything like this. I feel bad for this establishment that they have so little sense in how to do good business and treat their customers well. read more

There are other bubble tea businesses within the locale that may appease your needs, but not this particular Gong Cha whom apologized for the inconvenience of the inability to lower the price on the product ordered. As I waited patiently, I took photos of this business' environment. The staff stated the cash register is not working and currently unable to accept either credit or debit cards, but cash only payments. Ergo, I was unable to obtain a sales receipt nor a drink label printed. I wonder if the staff reboot the register or check their internet connection to be offline as the cause of non-functioning O/O/O. [1] Customer service is average. Well... if the staff can lower the price for one customer why not lower it for ALL customers? Surely, why not make my drink order as inclusion for lowering the price, please? Hell no, of course not! At 30% sugar level request, it was slightly higher in sugar content. Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg would shake his head at me in disbelief with disapproval and disappointment for consuming this excessively sugary drink. The peach green tea was not the cause of the sweetness but a man-made sugar embed measurement error. It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit at Port Authority 42nd Street's A, C, E trains and buses near the peripheral of Times Square.

The portion is generous as it should because it's $8! I used my spoon to eat it and there were ice cream completely filled from top to bottom. Overall, it's not a must get item whenever I'm in the area given the price but it's a nice treat every once in awhile.
