I went to watch the Super Bowl with a friend in town. I had heard about this spot but hadn't been. We were able to sit anywhere as there were not tons of people yet (yet being the key). The server was nice and helpful with menu discussions. I didn't get much for myself. My friend got the seafood boil and loved it. I got sides: hush puppies and fries. I thought the fries would have seasoning or something on them but they were plain fries so was a little disappointed It did get really busy while there. Our booth was in an odd space so we couldn't see the game once people were at the bar. Overall it was a cool experience.

Food -- The food was pretty dang good! The chicken wings as an appetizer were good. The wings were smallish but hot, and the sauce was tasty. I had the 1/2 pound headless shrimp boil with medium spice for my entree. I gotta tell ya, it was DELICIOUS! The steam and the seasoning made an awesome sauce! I wish I had ordered the entire pound. The only knock is I'm not a fan of peel-and-eat, but it did not deter me. The potatoes an' corn were a nice compliment to the shrimp. Food = A Ambiance -- This place felt more like a nightclub (rap/R&B background music) )than a restaurant. It did have a big bar. The lighting could have been better and made it too dark with all the dark accents. As you walk in, you see fiber optic lighting in the foyer.LOL!!! Ambiance = C- Cost -- It Wasn't bad at all, 1/2 pound of shrimp boiled with red potatoes and carrots and an order of 6 chicken wings was right at $25 with no booze. Cost = B Environment -- I Wasn't really impressed with the environment; it was too dark inside, which, IMO, made it seem kinda of grungy and a little rundown. I guess it was clean? It's too dark to tell. It just seemed kinda icky. Didn't go to the restroom. Myself an' other patrons wanted to watch some basketball on the big tv at the bar, but the staff, for whatever reason couldn't get the channel to change. Environment = D Service -- Service was good. We sat at the bar an' the bartender was also our server. He was friendly an' attentive an' got our orders in an' out to us quick. Service = A Overall, the food an' service were great! The vibe an' environment could've been just a bad night. It was late. Overall = B- Suggestion -- Provide or offer bread to sop up that wonderfully seasoned liquid in the boils!

I came here with my girlfriend late Saturday night. The oysters were large and fresh. The upside down martini tasted just like its name. If that's what you like I'd recommend it. There was plenty of parking and well lit. The extra star I have given was due to the night managers handling of a patron demanding payments of her tab be made in silver or gold! She took it very seriously and called the regional supervisor for the patron. In the end the patron did pay in U.S. currency.

This was across the street from the hotel I was staying. Went for a drink after dinner and ended up having the scallops in spicy garlic sauce and tried the ice cream because it was a Yelp offer! Surprise there. The scallops were actually pretty good, very spicy, it came with a potato and corn on the Cobb. The oysters were pretty large. The atmosphere is a bit sketchy, very dark inside with minimal lighting but not in a romantic type of way. There appeared to be patrons that were regulars there. We sat at the bar, the drinks were good. I had the pineapple upside down martini and it definitely tasted like cake! The mule was kinda sweet not that great. If you like seafood you can give it a try but they did not have any vanilla ice cream even though it was on the menu and the green tea ice cream tasted like it had been there for a while...

We visited after dinner at another restaurant because I wanted to see what the hype was about. This restaurant has done of great job of advertising around the city and I was in the area with some time to kill. I may be the only one but the decor was a bit over the top for me. I loved the ocean floors but after that I thought it was rather distracting and seemed forced. I know I'm in a minority here! The service at the bar was great and we loved the huge tv with sports on.

Fantastic dinner!! We had crab and shrimp boil... really good. I got the medium flavor on the side ... what a great flavor!! The margarita was probably the strongest one I've ever had. I prefer that to a watered down drink! Service was excellent!! Wish I lived here . It would be a favorite spot!!

This place rocks! The decor was good... loved all the twinkle lights, and the floor projection was just cool! We ordered cheese sticks and shrimp baskets and I have to say, the food was really good. The service was polite and on-point. The prices were also very fair. They also have a full bar although I didn't utilize it... maybe next time. I really have no complaints and will most definitely return.

However, the excellent customer service more than makes up for it! We had a party of four and were able to seat ourselves while the waiter came over to take our orders. Everyone was super attentive and the service was fast. One server brought us our waters and was incredibly nice. Then another staff member came over to greet us and take our orders. Another gentleman brought out our fries and checked to see if we were ready to order our entrees, but we had already placed our orders. I really appreciated how attentive everyone was throughout our visit! Our food came out in a good amount of time. I ordered the miso ramen, and let me just say--it was a 10/10! The flavors were absolutely spectacular. I've never had tofu that good, and it was served on the side. The way the edamame was seasoned and paired with the broth was simply TOO GOOD! My wife ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which she really enjoyed. I tasted the broth, and it was definitely different from mine, but in a good way! My son also enjoyed his fries, which were fried to perfection. Needless to say, I HAVE to come back before I hit the road and head home!

Sushi Nabe was a very pleasant surprise…read more I ordered the Super Paitan Ramen, the Crazy Roll, and the vegetable gyoza. The ramen was excellent. The broth was rich, deeply flavored, and had the kind of body you hope for in a good paitan. The chashu was outstanding--tender, flavorful, and generous--and the bowl included thoughtful touches like shishito peppers that complemented the richness rather than competing with it. The Crazy Roll was another surprise. Too many American specialty rolls rely on cream cheese and heavy sauces. This one was balanced, with tamago adding sweetness and texture without overwhelming the other ingredients. It was creative without being overdone. The vegetable gyoza were clearly handmade and exceptional. What impressed me most wasn't any single dish--it was the consistency. Every component felt intentional. You get the sense that someone in the kitchen genuinely cares about the food they're serving. This isn't a flashy or trendy place. It's a comfortable neighborhood Japanese restaurant that quietly delivers thoughtful, well-executed food. I'll definitely be back.
