We recently had issue with our dishwasher and the duo (Ralph and James) promptly scheduled the call and fixed the issue. Unfortunately there was some blockage in the air pipe due to normal wear and tear usage of the dishwasher and the water was not draining out completely. We had to reach out to Raplh and James again- Raplh provide 3 slots that we could select from based on our schedules and promptly dispatched James to fix the issue. James took the time to check, clean and also educate me on how to resolve such issues myself. The On call service fee was clearly explained with fee waived if I chose to proceed with repairs. Thanks for being transparent. Was able to get a same day quick appointment which was awesome but it just went down hill from there. 1st of all if you don't work on stacked washers /dryers you should tell a client that before making the appointment I lost a entire weekend of possible repairs cause I had them come out Friday and 5 to have the technician walk around the corner see it's stacked and rudely say if we cant fix it cause it's stacked. Then he proceeded to tell me it was probably the drain and that would cost $360 if it wasn't stacked, he told us this without looking at anything just said it was probably that cause it's a know a issue. Even if that might be the case of it being a known issue how can you quote a price and diagnostic without one glance inside or around the washer. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere So now after my original review I have gotten several calls and also texts pressuring me to change or remove my review. They are making me feel uncomfortable & unsafe with the numerous calls and texts. As I've told them I stand by what I said as nothing is untrue. I've had to block the number to stop the harassment. We had a GE built-in refrigerator that was having issues on the freezer side. We called Volta and scheduled an appointment for their $65 estimate. A tech named James came out to evaluate our situation. I explained that the refrigerator had an issue before on the cold side and another repair company came out to fix it. James was reluctant to even open the refrigerator and told me that the whole thing was a 2-sided system and likely it would all have to be rebuilt. I had to urge him to do some kind of investigation in which he opened up one side and shot a temperature gun at it. That was his entire assessment. But he did manage to spend 5 minutes drawing me a diagram of how the system works. I paid the $65. Later that day, he sent an estimate of $4000 to basically rebuild the entire inner workings of the unit. I called another refrigerator repair company out to do an assessment (Chill Heating & Cooling)- I had used this company before. The tech spent an hour troubleshooting and determined that it was the freezer side fan. He returned later on in the day with the part and quickly completed the job. The entire repair cost me less that $900. Go figure. The refrigerator is working 100% now. I do not know if it's the entire company Volta or if it was just that one specific tech, but that was the BIGGEST waste of $65 I have EVER spent! I could have gotten that EXACT same assessment over the phone with the receptionist or dispatch! Is this how they stay in business? by completely ripping off their gullible, unknowledgeable customers? They were so obviously dishonest that my wife is submitting a complaint to the BBB. My Samsung dryer broke a little more than a month ago, it stopped heating up my clothes but would still turn on. I did some searching and came across Volta. Since it had so many positive reviews, I decided to go with them to schedule a service appointment. I was able to get a service appointment in less than 24 hours - so very quick turn around, which I love! I had a very positive experience with the technician David. He was very professional, courteous. He knew what to do as well, very efficient and was able to fix our problem. I also thought the price was reasonable too. Then, a month after their visit, same thing happened with my dryer - it stopped heating up my clothes but it would still turn on. I immediately called Volta because I recalled they have a 6 month warranty on their service. I was able to schedule an appointment; however, there were a lot of miscommunication issues. I had my appointment schedule for a specified time but technician didn't show up during that time. When I called, they told me it's because I didn't confirm but I never received a text for confirmation so there were a delay. The person who answered my phone was able to resolve the issue though so David (the technician) was able to eventually make his way to our home to figure out what was going on. He was able to resolve the issue very quickly and help us with our dryer. Very rare these days to find honest appliance repair, but Volta is the real deal. We had a washer that was acting up. I created a project on Yelp and 5 vendors responded soon after. Volta was able to sent a tech(David) out on same day and was very accommodating of our schedule. Their diagnostic fee was very reasonable, and after some troubleshooting, the diagnosis was air bubbles in the water line, and no additional repair charges were incurred beyond the service fee, saving us lots of money. I think I bought an old home 1.5 years ago. The refrigerator compressor went bad, then the HVAC capacitor required replacement and most recently the HVAC water drain clogged. Every time VOLTA came to rescue. James was able to come the next day and is very knowledgeable and knows his stuffs every time as usual. They called later that day to reschedule for another day. Then the day before my appointment they called to see if they could come in a few hours. When I said no they informed me that they would need to reschedule again.
