I had been here previously, back when they had waiters to wait on you. If memory serves, it was better in the past. They make good pizza, but unfortunately, that's about it. Pulled pork sandwich was mostly gristle. Smash burger was burnt. We ordered the pork belly lettuce wraps and 2 smallish pieces of burnt pork belly arrived with some lettuce and about a buck's worth of kim chi. The brats and the smoked meats that they claim to be famous for, are not very good. They taste store bought and cheap. Both pizzas we ordered were good. Nice crust. Nobody checked on us. Nobody offered to refill a drink or bring us silverware or a napkin. We ordered at the bar and had to go to the bar to get anything that we wanted. That is apparently their new system in addition to a phone app that you supposedly can order drinks from, but that system is broken. That's the new thing, I understand that the whole world is going to counter service, but in a restaurant setting like that, it wasn't clear. Seemed to be the regular drinkers were getting additional drinks brought to them. Went back later for a work event. Same thing. No service. Order at the bar, or on the broken app. However, they add an automatic 20% gratuity. It was only a party of 6. Pierogis were freezer burned. Good pizza. They're out of many beers. Beer they did have was good. Service is nonexistent. It's pretty clear that they have given up and it hasn't affected their business because of a steady and consistent flow of half drunk golfers getting off the course, who are probably just happy to be indoors, warm, getting thoroughly drunker. Nice pub & restaurant located at the golf course. They have a large dining room & bar, big patio, and a little game room, too. They have quite a few of their own beers to choose from, along with guest taps. They have a good lookin' menu, too, and smoke their own meats. We enjoyed a couple beers on the patio and relaxed with the nice view of the golf course. For dinner the Hubs had one of their pizzas and I had the smoked brisket - both were delicious. They do offer a cauliflower crust for a gluten-free pizza option, and although their menu online currently doesn't say they have gluten-free buns, the Director of Ops replied to this review to tell me they do have them & apologized I wasn't offered one when we were there (so I just updated this review to note that). I just ordered the smoked brisket without the bun, but they did offer to make it a lettuce wrap if I wanted (online menu didn't mention that as an option, either). Me and my beau came here on a glorious Saturday afternoon. The weather was just perfect not too hot and not too cold which for my delicate sensibilities is right around 85 degrees. I haven't been here in many years, not since they still called it the Ringside Steakhouse. I have no clue when the change happened but I noticed that they kept a few of the Ringside favorites like the steak bites and the onion rings. A couple of things I didn't care for was that you had to scan a code to bring up the menu on your phone which is very challenging if you don't carry reading glasses around with you. Second, the servers don't come out to take your food and drink orders. You have to go inside to the bar. I guess there are more than just a couple things I didn't like. They brought out the totality wrong sandwich so I had to carry it inside and have them remake it. Once it was done properly it was delicious. Last thing I didn't like was having to bus our own table. What do they deserve a 20% tip for after all the hoops the customer has to jump through? The setting is quite nice as you can watch the golfers teeing off. 1. Made a reservation for a large group of 15 people, got there and they didn't have the table set up correctly so we had to sit in different areas. Not a huge deal, but it did mess up our tab pretty bad since we were all on one. 2. The ordering process is an absolute nightmare, we input all of our orders but we're still missing meals. Also, none of the servers came and explained how to order, it took a long time to figure it out. 3. Two meals were brought out 30+ minutes after everyone else's. It was a train wreck. 4. A mouse ran from the behind the barn to under a booth.... There are multiple sliders to go outside but that was kinda unsettling. 5. We came here for pizza, every single pizza was, "out of stock". I would of thought that we had made reservations that they could of at least called to give us a heads up .. We would have likely taken our business elsewhere. This is not the former occupant, Ringside. It's a pub and brewery with stunning vistas of green grass and tall firs and an excellent beer selection. I ordered the single patty brioche bun side salad with blue cheese on both. Delicious and the service, once we ordered at the counter was perfect. Sitting next to the gas-log fire was luxurious for a late November day. Lively conversation over out VE brews, food arrived promptly, fire just glowingly warm and the sun on the green grass? Solid spot I've eaten at a bit since a buddy moved way the hell out here. Above average sandwiches, and excellent beer. Some of the accompanying sides are a bit of a let down, and the menu is fairly standard brewery fare. Nothing that stands out out as exciting, but most everything is well-executed, especially the pizzas. The beers are probably what they do best, which is good since this is a brewery. Extra kudos that they're taking Covid precautions seriously and have the room to space everything out with plenty of distance both outside and in. Ordered the van house salad with brisket and my boyfriend got the smoked pork sandwich. We both shared a taste of both bbq orders, and were completely stunned. I haven't had bbq like this since Texas. Absolutely incredible! The meat just falls apart before you can pick it up! The problem is the pizza: vegetarian was flat, with almost no mushrooms or onions; the peppers were Mama Lil's that made the whole thing taste as if it were bathed in vinegar. You probably like TIPS! Your attitude and effort is what drives your tips. Being snarky and condescending is not going to get you any tips. I will sort off by saying that the service here is amazing. I can't remember our waitresses name, however, she did an amazing job taken care of me and my friend when we went there to hang out. They do have a nice outdoor seating area with minimal cover, it is right next to the golf course. The beer and the food for on par unintended.par! I am updating my review from three stars to five stars mainly for two reasons. The first one is that the Impossible Burger is back, and it's very tasty. Well, these two items are still part of the one reason. The second reason is that the owner introduced himself to us because we were wearing Von Ebert t-shirts (thanks Yelp for giving us the t-shirts during the Von Ebert yelp event). Stopped in around 4 PM on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy but you had to order everything at the bar. The staff were pretty friendly. I ordered a 5 beer sampler flight and a jumbo pretzel. When I paid the tab, I was charged $30 for these 2 items. How?! That is way too much. There is a chance I was charged for someone else's item because I was never given an itemized receipt. The pretzel is $13 which I could see on the menu but $17 for a beer tasting?? That same type of flight is $10 to $12 at every other brewery. I won't be back. This place is clearly overpriced because it's attached to a golf course. The pretzel was decent but not at all worth $13 and the beer isn't even a full pint so it blows my mind they charged $17 for it. read more

We live nearby and have been coming here semi-regularly since this location opened. The beers are great, the smoked wings are excellent, and the rest of the food is mostly pretty good but nothing special.. The happy hour burgers and pizza are a good deal. However, the service is generally bad unless you sit at the bar. The staff seems to turn over regularly, and the quality of the service has been steadily declining. Sometimes they run out of pizza dough on BOGO pizza nights. We were there tonight and the server was anxious enough to take our order and bring a round of drinks but then didn't come back. Someone else delivered the food from the kitchen, which is fine, but the server never came back to see if things were OK or ask if we wanted more drinks, then I had to chase him down to get the check. I want to start out by saying I went in WANTING to Love this place. It gets 5 stars for location and ample parking... the rest was a big disappointment. And I had waited months to go, so I was extra disappointed. From the time we entered, it was disappointing. We waited several minutes to even be greeted. There wasn't a single person working in the lobby. The gentleman who came out eventually was wearing shorts and a T-shirt ( NOT von Ebert as one would expect). He acted kind of put out. We got seated outside, with a couple wrinkled, kind of dirty menus. We got brought water in VERY small glasses by a server in torn jeans. The menu has changed since we last checked it out online-and I don't feel it was for the better. What used to be kind of fresh approach pub is now somewhat "creative" and so many of the options have something odd added in -like jalapeño on a Hawaiian pizza or radish on nachos. My husband tried to order the Idaho Nachos. Essentially fries with Mexican cheese, salsa rojo, sour cream -and radish. Apparently it wasn't available because they couldn't get the peppers to make the salsa-so he had the pineapple pizza-sans jalapeño. The pizza was $14.50 and about dinner plate sized. The center looked a bit thin and the crust was dryer and thick. My husband said it was ok-nothing remarkable. I had the bratwurst served with stone ground mustard, red pickled cabbage, zucchini pickles on a hogue roll with cheese. I ordered the add on tater tots. The tater tots-greasy and had kind of "old" tasting. The bread on the sandwich was so dry. The mustard was only through the center and it tasted stale, reheated and unappealing. There wasn't that much cabbage-I would have liked to have had at least twice as much. That was true of all the condiments-there just wasn't enough. The bratwurst had good flavor though. While we were waiting what seemed a really long time for our food (especially because the restaurant wasn't busy), we people watched. There just was a general lack of professionalism among the staff. Water was slow to be refilled, they were dressed way down... I can't speak on their beer/wine. We didn't drink. We also didn't have any sort of dessert or appetizer. read more

The best times to dine here is every day between 3pm-6pm and 9pm-close for happy hour. It isn't the cheapest HH prices around but the portions make up for it. A must-try is their pizza for $8. There are six different ones and we've only tried sausage and pepper. The 10-inch pie is cut into 6 slices to make sharing easy. This is not a good pie choice if you don't love peppers. I would compare the size of the house-made onion rings here to the ones towered high at Red Robin, except there's even more rings in this basket. They're $6 and it includes ranch and Chipotle BBQ. I think I'll acquire the taste for the BBQ one with time. Their HH includes $1 off house beers and $6 wines to help wash the food down. Overall, the food and drinks have been good to us and we've enjoyed this dining experience on more than one happy hour occasion. read more

Happy hour: 3pm-6pm and 9pm to close. Food was good I only took a picture of my salad, but my friends had other food and they really enjoy it. Steak bites were good and burger was good. I thought my salad was good, but it didn't have much fish in the salad and the drinks selection was good. Service was good and friendly.
