Only gave 4 stars due to pricing, however, the craw boil is the best one I ever had I did have it with all the seasonings combined and with only old bay seasoning , I recommend with all of them and make it mild, the mild even has a kick to it. They always have fresh crawfish! Voodoo sauce is great it's got a kick. So if your not a spice lover like I am I would get a different sauce Bc even mild is spicy. I always order extra sauce on the side. The only complaint I have is I wish they would put more sauce as it gets very watered down and it's just not enough. read more

My husband and I went there last night. I was so disappointed. I ordered the crabs, they were very tasty but they gave me 6 little crab legs and I do mean little. They only gave me a fork and a lobster cracker as utensils. A small piece of corn on the cob and a very small potato. The sauce was delicious. My husband ordered catfish. He got a very nice sized meal. If the place is called voo doo crabs , and you order crabs you should get a nice sized portion. The server we had was polite but not very helpful. Had the Snow crab extravaganza. Not Extravegant!! The crab legs were too thin. I had to ask for a small fork to get the meat out. Two of my crab legs were empty!!! It came with two red potato's and two one inch pieces of corn on the cob. They didn't have any coffee, tea, etc. to go with dessert. When we asked the waiter why no coffee, he said they don't want people staying around too long. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told he was too busy and Id have to wait. We left. read more

This is a great place. The food is always great whether you are in the restaurant or getting delivery (through door dash). I'm not the biggest fan of seafood so usually when the rest of my family is craving it I have a hard time finding something to eat. However I can always find something to eat here. I usually order the garlic noodles as my main course even though it's a side dish but it's always been enough to fill me up. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it appears that they got rid of their outdoor bubble tents. They used to have private outdoor eating tents in the shape of a bubble. It was great to be able to sit in your own private space during covid. They still have an outdoor eating area but it is more like being in a crowded area full of people. The private bubble tents were great for people who were just starting to go back to restaurants but still felt uncomfortable being around large crowds. I understand that they are probably expensive to run since they were heated but when I tried to take my elderly parents there because they felt comfortable going out the first time since covid started as long as we could still be somewhat private and the tents were gone we wound up leaving without getting food. read more

Went today for lunch. The lunch specials were great on a holiday too which was a plus for us! We loved the crab we added noodles to our boil! The waitress who I have seen there before was very pleasant. She was very busy and overwhelmed but handled it professionally. She was running around a bit and forgot to send the calamari out before the entrees, it came out with the entrees and I was not crazy about the calamari but the crab boil and chowder soup were great! I had been to Voodoo Crab at Massapequa and loved it. Was excited to find this in Centereach. My experience was Awesome. I walked in with a friend at 5pm and apparently it was Happy Hour time...heavenly! LOL. We asked for a booth table which was nice and comfy. I went for the Adult Caprisun drink - amazing! Worth a try. Could be a bit strong so be wary if driving. It's very enjoyable though. Then we had chicken wings -2 varieties. I still like the dry rub Cajun the best. Then we ordered Oysters which was to die for ....all from the happy hour menu so all reasonably priced. For Entre, we went for the Boil. Oh la la! It was so enjoyable. I like the way they bring it to the table in a bag and shake it all together in your presence, then serve it. Our waitress, Naya, with the long pink braided hair was super amazing! This was our first time to Voodoo crab here in Centereach, and we could hardly contain our excitement because there is nothing like this in the area! The staff was friendly and attentive. I bee got into the restaurant and they kindly got rid of it for us so it wouldn't interrupt our meal. We started with apps such as the honey wings, fried calamari, Kobe sliders and soft shell crab. Everything came out hot and delish. The wings were really tasty and cooked perfectly. The calamari had a light breading with a very yummy salsa dipping sauce that had some heat. The soft shell crab was a nice size portion for an app. I would actually consider this a meal because it's served with potato wedges. The sliders were good too. Our main entrees were the shrimp poboy which was tasty and had a good bread. Being a lunch special it wasn't huge, but just enough considering we had so many apps. My husband had the boil and enjoyed it immensely. The crawfish were HUGE! My BIL lived his mussels and could stop eating the bread with the sauce. He actually asked for another order of bread for the extra sauce. It's a tasty restaurant with good food and different atmosphere than the usual around here.
