This was our first time to Voodoo crab here in Centereach, and we could hardly contain our excitement because there is nothing like this in the area! The staff was friendly and attentive. I bee got into the restaurant and they kindly got rid of it for us so it wouldn't interrupt our meal. We started with apps such as the honey wings, fried calamari, Kobe sliders and soft shell crab. Everything came out hot and delish. The wings were really tasty and cooked perfectly. The calamari had a light breading with a very yummy salsa dipping sauce that had some heat. The soft shell crab was a nice size portion for an app. I would actually consider this a meal because it's served with potato wedges. The sliders were good too. Our main entrees were the shrimp poboy which was tasty and had a good bread. Being a lunch special it wasn't huge, but just enough considering we had so many apps. My husband had the boil and enjoyed it immensely. The crawfish were HUGE! My BIL lived his mussels and could stop eating the bread with the sauce. He actually asked for another order of bread for the extra sauce. It's a tasty restaurant with good food and different atmosphere than the usual around here. If I could give a zero star, I would. The service was absolutely terrible! Our server, Ms. Raquel C. was very rude and neglectful. Not once did she come over to our table to ask us about our food and if we needed anything. She forgot to bring our drinks. We sat for 30 minutes with no drink. She forgot about our food. I was missing one of my dishes for the most of the night. Very neglectful on her part. I overheard her asking other tables, "Would you like another drink?" and "Would you like to order dessert?" However, she completely ignored OUR needs. I did not appreciate this disrespect. Mr. Daniel, who I am assuming is a runner, was so kind and helpful to us. He brought our missing drinks and food. Went today for lunch. The lunch specials were great on a holiday too which was a plus for us! We loved the crab we added noodles to our boil! The waitress who I have seen there before was very pleasant. She was very busy and overwhelmed but handled it professionally. She was running around a bit and forgot to send the calamari out before the entrees, it came out with the entrees and I was not crazy about the calamari but the crab boil and chowder soup were great! Im gonna start off by saying great food. Pricey but absolutely worth it especially the boil bags !! I took a star off because we ordered to lava cakes for desert and it took almost 35 minutes. We also had specified at the beginning we wanted separate checks because another girl and I were drinking. Waitress says ok no problem. Bill comes 1 check. Not a big deal. Also took a star due to seeing a waitress only half wearing a mask. It's not hard to keep it above your nose and at some point mouth. I should know as im a waitress as well. Let's start with the Crispy Calamari, batter was good not to greasy, dipping sauce had a delicious flavor just a wee bit chewy. The only reason I gave it 4 Stars Char-Broiled Oysters to die for, so flavorful. Baked Clams a little too much bread crumbs for me, but the were good. Andaouille Sausage came sliced in a bowl a bit spicy, it was very good. Garlic Noodles, if you like garlic try this. It comes in a cream sauce & was flavorful. We like to try a variety of things the first time we go anywhere. It give us a chance to get a feel for the place. The service was excellent. We just beat the rush. It was crowded, and clean. This was the first time coming to this place. I had brought my family for dinner, unfortunately it was a cold, windy afternoon and we were seated outside. I had made the reservation for 5:30...I'm not sure if it was because the place was "busy" or not but we were served our food at least an hour and a half later. It didnt help that as waitress' were bringing out food to other tables outside, the same food was brought right back inside...? All in all the food wasnt bad, although the choices for the seafood boil were kind of limiting. This isn't the kind of place that I would go to more than once a month...maybe three months. read more

Amazing food! We went with a small group and tried most of the appetizers and each couple shared a boil. Amazing! My girlfriend and I especially loved the wings (tried both honey glazed and dry rub and glazed was our favorite) and soft shell crab for appetizers but cooked oysters, fried calamari and fried popcorn shrimp were good too. For boil we got a medium voodoo experience boil with 1# of crab legs, 1# of crawfish, 0.5# of head off shrimp and 0.5# of green mussels which came with potatoes, corn and noodles (noodles were extra). Everything was cooked perfectly and the spice level was totally in control for medium. We did get dessert too - lava cake and vanilla ice cream and they are made in house not bought frozen!! We will be back for sure to try more. The person who wrote the bad review has no idea what they are talking about to rate this place anything but 5 stars! Showed up for a 5pm reservation walked in all perfect. They go to seat us at a 2top by the front door. No problem I get it if the place is packed. All the 2tops are available and I ask if we can sit by the window and they said no they have all been reserved. Not even a chance for a better seat at 5pm. I really hate giving this place 3 stars but I didn't have the best customer service. To start this off I had to call in twice for my order to be placed because it didn't go through the first time. I drove 25 mins there to pick up my order to then realize when I got home they forgot my crab legs in my seafood boil. I called in to let them know they forgot part of my order and the response I got was I can drive back to get my forgotten crab legs. I wasn't to key on this since I already drove 50 mins round trip already just to pick up my dinner. I ask if I could get a refund on the crab legs but instead the manger offered store credit. The WORST seafood broil you can ever have. Everything is frozen and disgusting. They say "fresh seafood". It was nasty. My noodles were 2 days old, i had to return it. The staffs were nasty. When I told them how my noodles tasted she was arguing on how they "just made it" and have to speak to the manager. I did ended up just sending it back.
