I've been working with Matt, Wing and Kendall for the last 3 years or so. Great people , great service and most importantly fair pricing. Hands down my go to shop for my BMWs. I drive an hour each way just to get work done by these guys. Thank you guys for always taking care of me

Check VT Motorworks out! Matt and Wing are master techs and highly knowledgeable on BMW's and will treat your car as if it was their own. They're passionate about the work they do and have the experience to back it up, great customer service and communication. Also they've done a great job lowering my 335i and 440i, following up once the suspension settled. Overall a great experience, I've always brought my bimmers here and have had no issues whatsoever! Will continue to be my go to shop. Prices are fair and competitive rate, you owe it to yourself to check them out!

I've brought two cars to Matt and Wing at VT, and they're consistently incredible. I brought a 2011 e93 335is with a bunch of engine problems which they were able to thoroughly diagnose and give me an informed opinion. One time my car turned off immediately at startup and was making a racket - in a panic, I called Wing and he helped me find there and then that the charge pipe wasn't locked, and how to fix it. Note he did this for free and I hadn't even brought my car to them for any work at that point. Just demonstrates the caliber of their character. My turbos had vacuum issues, and they were able to diagnose a separate camshaft bearing ledge failure, which the dealership was unable to. After that car was rear-ended and totaled, I brought my 2018 M4 and continued receiving the same incredible service. They're consummate professionals who know BMWs inside out, and take pride in how consistently thorough they are. They're also remarkably patient - I love learning more about my car, and they take the time to walk me through my questions despite how busy they are. They're very responsive and pricing is more than fair - to be candid it feels like they could charge an order of magnitude more, like other BMW mechanics I've used who don't come close to the level of diligence and service. They don't try to upsell you on anything you don't need and are completely transparent throughout the process.

New found shop I can trust my E36M3 track car. VT Motorworks, you guys rock!

I have had the pleasure of working with Matt at VT Motorworks. He is very responsive to my emails. He calls in during service if/when he finds issues and offers solid solution. A very knowledgeable shop as well. They provide good recommendations anything related to tracking with this platform. I'm really glad I have found this shop I can trust my E36M3 track car. I have no doubt my car is in good hands. I am now a regular/returning customer and I am looking forward to years of working relationship.

Matt and Wing helped me install my APR wing on my BMW 335i a while back! They're super knowledgeable and friendly! Didn't have any problems at all!

Matt and Wing combine extensive knowledge of all things BMW with exceptional customer service. They gave me detailed reports of every issue on my E46 M3 through email and responded promptly to any questions I had. Pricing was extremely fair and they only recommended I move with work that was necessary. Matt even showed me all the parts he replaced and explained why they were defective. The experience as a whole was extremely personal and I felt like my car was in good hands. I would recommend VT to any and all Bavarian enthusiasts.

Best shop in the Bay Area. I have been working with Matt and Wing for a few years now at their previous employer and am proud to continue to do so at their own shop. They are extremely knowledgeable, skilled, transparent, accurate with project scope, and priced extremely fair. I have relied on both of their experience to build and maintain my projects countless times. If you want to build a crazy street car, a track car or just get maintenance done, VT is the place to go.

I am a BMW enthusiast. I love German engineering. So I really can appreciate someone who can understand my passion for these sports cars and my meticulous nature to make them run perfectly. I drove 2 hours to see Matt at VT Motorworks. He came highly recommended for some specific performance work I needed for my BMW M Roadster. It was worth the trip. I arrived on time and Matt was ready to greet me and discuss my requirements. They just opened their shop recently and they are just completing the interior upgrades. The shop was impeccably clean and the brand new epoxy floor made made the entire place sparkle. In addition, the shop equipment was all state-of-the-art brand new. Not even a scratch on the high tech lifts. Very cool. Matt performed the work we discussed while I stood nearby with a pad of paper and questions. Matt worked while I picked his knowledge of specific BMW upgrades and repairs. Matt's direction of how to proceed and advice was impressive. Matt even explained how I could save money and get better results with some tips he has from experience. You don't often get honest feedback like that these days. Hi partner Wing was also very friendly and brought me over a bottle of water. I wasn't even thirsty! If you are reading this review chances are you are evaluating where to bring your car in for service. Based on my experience, you'll walk away impressed with the quality of the customer service and the deep talent at this shop. When new shops open they work harder to earn your repeat business. This was apparent with the over the top experience I had with Matt and Wing. These are good, honest guys who will become very successful by earning your business.

Most of us like to poke our heads under the hood and pretend we know what's going on, but we usually don't. The next logical step is a repair shop, and many people default to the dealership because they think they can trust them more. In my experience, that's a mistake--dealerships often touch ten things, fix one, and charge you for everything. Luckily, I found Rich and his team. I recently bought a newer car with all the bells and whistles, and I was braced for a huge bill. Rich was incredibly professional, polite, and straightforward. I was actually in shock; he takes the time to educate you on the repair rather than just grabbing your keys and telling you he'll text you later. The estimate was a pleasant surprise, and better yet, there were no hidden fees at the end. The amount he quoted was exactly what I paid. They were on time, efficient, and had me back on the road in no time. It is such a relief to find this kind of service these days. It's nice to know you don't have to pull out a platinum card for a simple repair or an oil change. All the 5-star reviews you see here are 100% true. One quick tip: the shop can be a little tricky to find the first time, but trust your GPS! It will get you there, even if the turn looks a bit hidden. You cannot go wrong with this team!

But because of the escalating repair costs at the Dealership, I researched Precision Auto Repair and its knowledge specifically with Honda and Acura Vehicles on Yelp. Later on in the day, I received a detailed report via email of all the issues that needed to be addressed. These coincided with most of the issues on my list with a few added. Pictures and estimated costs were included with this report. After going over the repairs with Kevin, I brought in my vehicle the next day. Jose was friendly and professional throughout the process. Unfortunately, the quality of the actual repair work was extremely disappointing and left me with the impression that the technicians lacked the experience needed for this job. I brought my car in to have all four door lock actuators replaced--a very common failure on older Hondas. I supplied four brand-new replacement actuators that I had already verified were the correct parts and functioning properly. Because I was replacing all four at once, I was offered about a 25% discount on labor. I dropped the car off first thing in the morning. About three hours later, while I was at work nearly 30 miles away, I received a call saying the parts I provided were incorrect and didn't fit. They told me they had left the door panels off so they could show me. I rushed back to the shop, only to discover there was nothing wrong with the parts at all. It took me only a quick look to confirm they were correct, and I plugged one of the new actuators in myself to demonstrate that it worked. Looking back, this should have been my first sign to take the car elsewhere, but I assumed it was simply an honest mistake. Later that day I received another call. I was told the rear actuators had been replaced successfully, but that both front door latch assemblies had supposedly "failed" and now needed to be replaced. This immediately raised red flags because there was absolutely nothing wrong with either front door before I brought the car in. The only issue was the faulty power lock actuators. When I picked up the car, the front doors were actually in worse condition than when I dropped it off: * The driver's inside door handle no longer worked, forcing me to roll down the window and open the door from the outside. * The front passenger door would only open if I manually held the lock pin up while pulling the handle. * I was still charged the quoted $550 (after the labor discount). Once I got home, I found even more problems. One of the front door panels had a tear in the upholstery, there were black grease smudges on the fabric and window, and the window no longer rolled up smoothly, likely because the door panel hadn't been reinstalled correctly. At this point, I no longer believed the diagnosis that both door latch assemblies had somehow failed at the exact same time they were replacing the actuators. It seemed far more likely that the door mechanisms had been reassembled incorrectly and the shop blamed the issue on "broken parts" instead of acknowledging a mistake. The next day I contacted Jay at S&R Motors in Hayward. He and his master technician inspected the car and called me later that day with the actual diagnosis. There was nothing wrong with either door latch assembly. They found that components from the latch mechanism had been removed and left loose inside the door. They retrieved the missing pieces, correctly reassembled both doors, and fixed the problems. When I picked the car up the next day, everything worked exactly as it should. Both front doors opened and closed normally, the inside handles worked properly, the door panels were correctly installed, and the window rolled up and down smoothly again. The outcome speaks for itself. The "failed" door latch assemblies that I was told needed replacement never needed to be replaced at all. The issues were caused during the repair and were resolved simply by properly reassembling the doors. I'm extremely disappointed with how this repair was handled and with what I believe was a misrepresentation of the actual problem. While Jose was courteous and helpful, my experience with the shop's technicians left me with very little confidence in their workmanship. I won't be returning for future service, and I would encourage anyone considering mechanical work beyond basic maintenance to carefully evaluate whether this shop has the experience required for the job.

In October, we paid a $1,600 deposit to have a rear differential replaced, followed by a final payment of $2,804.12 on November 25th. When we picked up the vehicle last week February 11, 2026 (yes they held our vehicle for months), it was still making the exact same noise as the day it was dropped off. We immediately did a ride-along with their own mechanic, who confirmed the issue was still present. Because they were entirely unable to fix the vehicle despite being paid in full, their mechanic explicitly stated that if we took it to another shop, Old Town Auto Care would refund the cost of the repair. We took the vehicle to a second, competent shop. They completely repaired it and confirmed that the rear differential did indeed need replacement, which was the exact work Old Town Auto Care charged us over $4,400 for but utterly failed to perform. We returned to Old Town Auto Care with undeniable proof: the new invoice, the actual old part, and a letter from the second shop. Despite their blatant failure to do the job and their own mechanic's verbal promise, management is now outright refusing to issue the promised partial refund of $1,900. I have included pictures of my credit card charges from Old Town Auto Care as well as the invoice form the different competent shop who confirmed and fixed the problem as proof. They will take your money, fail to fix your car, and then refuse to make it right even when presented with hard evidence of their incompetence. Called them when I needed an alignment at the last minute before a road trip. They said they could do it no problem so I took it in and was told it would probably be done around 5:00 which is their closing time. When I return to pick it up I was told that they couldn't get one of the eccentric bolts loose to adjust camber. By the time I got home I noticed that my steering wheel was a quarter turn off meaning it was turned sideways in order to drive straight. Then I look at my wheel which was pointing out at the top about an inch and in at the bottom an inch. I still had to leave for a road trip in the morning and like I said they were already closed when I picked it up. So I drove to Washington the next morning and by the time I got back from that trip a brand new tire was mostly ruined. Furthermore the suspension was making all kinds of clunking noises and I wasn't even sure if it was safe to drive on. So I called them told them exactly what happened with the steering wheel the clunking noises the wheel and you would think that they would be eager to correct the mistake for liability reasons if nothing else. But I was told they didn't have an opening until next week. So next week I go in on the day and time that she suggested and she said they were too busy today try coming in at the end of the week. I took it to a shop down the street that adjusted everything correctly had no issues doing it, corrected the steering wheel the clunking noise, and alignment itself all for half the price of what this place charged me. As far as I'm concerned they put my life in danger and we're too lazy or it was too late in the day for them to finish the job so they just said I had a seized bolt. If they want to buy me a new tire id be happy to take this down.

I thought I would come in here to get a tire rotation, which is a free service that they provide four tires that are theirs. I normally go to the one in Concord like I mentioned, but I happened to be closer to this one, so I thought I would take advantage of it. I was told after the rotation that I would need to get a new tire because there was a nail that was unrepairable on one of the tires. No problem, I thought, since I had paid for an extended warranty on all the tires a few months ago. I was led to believe this would come at no cost to me as a result. I also had paid for a three-year alignment previously, which I thought was a good deal. So, Tim quoted me with an invoice that had $136 alignment on it, but he assured me that it will be taken care of because I had paid for the three year alignment. He also showed me that everything else would cost zero. After an hour and a half, I was up sold on an extended tire warranty, which didn't make sense to me since I thought that the warranty would cover every tire, but I figured it would be fine since Tim told me it would cost $41. Then when they were about to give me the keys, I was charged $140 for services. I thought we were all included in the warranty, not to mention, I was quoted at zero. I was charged for taxes on the new tire (even though the tire was zero dollars), mounting and balancing, alignment, a tire recycling fee, and other labor costs. The extended tire warranty was quoted at $62 even though I was told it would be $41. In my mind, I still couldn't make heads nor tails of all of these things. I even questioned them about it. But I had an appointment elsewhere in the East Bay and needed to be on the road and ended up agreeing to paying $140 for a zero dollar service. I would've been happy paying $41 for the tire warranty but lo and behold I paid three times that. Don't come to this place unless you're prepared to get screwed. I recommend big brand tire in Concord if you must go to big brand at all - at least that place I had been going to for years and I know I could have counted on the folks there and could have trusted them not to charge me extra and not to lie to me about a zero cost service. Heck, go to any other tire place if you have to stay in Dublin or Pleasanton. Some tire places treat you like family. This one treated me like a couple of dollar signs.
