I compared the sodium fat and calories in waba to other places like yoshinoya and realized that it's all garbage compared to waba. I drop my wallet here and thought i missed placed it at home. The cute girl at the register was nice and took my order without a problem. They keep the place looking clean, and are helpful if you got questions about certain items you need. This is as close to our wonderful Tokyo Joe's (not in Calif :-( ) as you can get. So glad we found this place. We both got the chicken bowl. I swear half the bowl was rice and half was chicken. I took home half of it for dinner. The original teriyaki sauce is excellent and my husband says he likes their spicy sauce as well. Service was fast and the food was nice and hot. This is by far one of the WORST restaurants that i've been to. I called for a pickup 30 minutes in advanced thinking my food would be ready. Guess what? It was NOT! By the time i got there, that's when they started cooking. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I asked the cashier where my food was and she told me the cook does NOT like to cook ahead for pickups. I'm sorry, but since when is this about the cooks and not the customers? After that, the cashier realized the cook FORGOT MY ORDER!!! I will NEVER go back to this place. I've been coming here since it opened and the food has been great. I especially like the salmon bowl with brown rice and vegetables. I recently had them do a major catering order with trays of steak, chicken, salmon, vegetables and fruit. It was hot, well prepared and delicious! This is my first time to this Waba Grill and my LAST. The employees are incompetent and ignore you when standing in line. I place and order and used a coupon. The cashier didn't want to bother with the coupon and flat out told me that this particular restaurant didn't participate in any promotions. I happened to looked to the right of the register and notice a bunch of coupons. I of course question her?? She immediately call another employee to ask if we took that particular coupon. The other employee was clueless as well. Both of them spend so much time on the register , doing?? I don't know what??. They had to call manager . I'm so glad that Waba Grill has opened up at this specific location. I felt like this plaza needed a healthy and affordable option like this. This is my second time here and it was as good as the first time. It is kept cleaned and well maintained inside and I hope they continue to keep it that way. I am pretty full halfway through my bowl - I got 1/2 tofu 1/2 chicken with veggies and brown rice. Their ingredients are super fresh, the chicken and tofu were tender and the veggies were done just right, not over cooked or under cooked. I'm also a huge fan of their hot sauce. I don't think it's very spicy, but I think it's got a good amount of flavor. Their carrots and jalapeños are a must which they keep next to the drink station, along with the green onions. I would've taken a picture of my food but I was too hungry and I ate it all lol, I'll try to remember on my next visit. read more

It's unfortunate because of what's going on of the quarantine I couldn't try it until I got home. All I can say is, this is not the first time. The food was ok, albeit on the expensive side. The unforgivable part is that I reviewed their menu on their website before going there. The picture for the Shrimp Plate clearly shows 4 skewers of 3 shrimp each (total of 12). I was VERY disappointed when I got my takeout order home and found only 6 shrimp. Thinking they may have made a mistake, I called them and asked how many shrimp come on the Shrimp Plate. I was told "6." So, no, they did not make an honest mistake. They are simply thieves.
