This was my first time trying Waba... and it will be my last. Not only was I ignored by several employees, the food was absolutely disgusting. The chicken was dry and tasteless; like it has been cooked and recooked several times. The rice was over cooked and tasted of broccoli even though I requested no veggies. I come to this waba grill often for lunch and Erika always provides me with excellent service. The establishment itself is clean and my food is always prepared in a timely manner. I paid extra for avocado on my salmon salad and there WASN'T ANY. I know this is a common problem with most restaurants where modifications aren't common, but please be more careful next time.. the staff here is great and the venue is clean, but this one little mistake can be a huge problem and easily deter me from coming back. I called not to long ago and and placed 15 signature waba plates 10 with white rice and 5 with Brown & substituted all fruit for veggies was referred by a friend from the GGSD the cashier Natalia seemed to be very aggravated And disturbed by the order ! She did not even ask how I was going to pay??I felt rushed because she continued asking "Is that all" ! Called in to cancel my order because my wife was upset with the bad customer service your cashier performed .Hopefully you guys can get some help and hire better staff. read more

I ordered a beef and veggie bowl. I come home and open the bowl and guess what? There's no veggies anywhere. I checked the receipt to see if I said the wrong order. Nope, the receipt also clearly said beef and veggie bowl and i paid the price for that order. How incompetent do the workers have to be that the cook messes up the order and then the counter girl doesn't even check the ticket to see if the order is correct? This isn't the first time it's happened here. It's happened several times before and I was able to catch it those times. Only this time I wasn't able to check the order immediately because I was in a hurry. The workers here make mistakes all the time and there seems to be a high turnover rate. Well this was my first experience with Waba grill. I am not impressed. To start the rice was cold, the meat was cold. On a scale of 1 to 10 the flavor was 3.5. The price was not to bad, considering that this is a chain restaurant the portions where on par. I was surprised that all the pictures on the wall show the dishes garnished but not when I was served. While the food was acceptable, What turned me way off about this WaBa visit is that Ms. Erika dropped a strainer on the floor. Picked it up, rinsed the strainer in the hand wash sink, and put it back to be used like nothing ever happened. No detergent? Or sanitation? Maybe grab a clean strainer? Especially knowing that your customers are watching. Someone needs food handling certification. Who knows what else this place is dropping and cooking for us to eat. read more

Went there to buy bowl of of rice and steak on Monday 02.25/19 between pm to 4:30 pm and the Asian lady at the checkout insisted i had to produce id to pay with a debit card. Noticed while taking my meal no one else was being asked to produce id when paying with credit or debit and i came to conclusion i was profiled or being black read more

I 100 percent recommend this location. I always come here for a quick lunch break and it's very affordable. I've also tried the delivery service. Cashier informed it'll be like an hour wait and I said it's fine but delivery driver jesus I believe got here less than 30 minutes. If u want to eat healthier ask for no sauce since it has sodium and sugar. And the meat and rice ratio is off--it's something like 2:1, 2 being rice and 1 being meat. read more

So disappointing. I always order the tofu bowl, or I guess I should say I always USED to order the tofu bowl. I don't go to Waba Grill anymore. I went there to get lunch one time and I was absolutely horrified to see that they use all the same stuff for the tofu as they do for the meat. Same grill, same utensils, same cutting board, everything. They even put my tofu ON TOP of a pile of chicken. I am vegetarian and I order tofu because I refuse to eat meat so I don't want traces of it in my food that is SUPPOSED to be vegetarian. I contacted corporate about it months ago, never heard back. I guess they don't care that they lost a customer. If they ever decide to get their s**t together and do something as simple as buying two of everything then maybe I might consider going back, but until then so long Waba Grill it was nice knowing you! read more
