My goal is to always search out new places. One Sunday we had a "quick brunch" at Southern Feed Store and decided to try Waffle Bar. Waffle Bar is a cute concept with waffles, chicken, sandwiches, tenders and plant based products. The waffles come in many different combinations. I ordered the blueberry crunch waffle with wings, while bae ordered the red velvet waffle with chicken tenders. There are tables with benches nearby and other restaurants. The waffle was very good but very filling. We both had enough for leftovers the next day. The waffle wasn't too dense and the chicken was fried perfectly. Crispy, but not too crispy. Flavorful and juicy. Parking is on the street on Glenwood Ave and can be filled pretty quickly, so it's probably best to go during off peak hours. read more

I just stumbled across this place on IG not even a week and & told my soon we're going to have to go check her out. While our w/my gf & looking for something to eat...we stumbled upon this place. Note: I was sho Jed because this location used to be a music concert venue. So to my surprise I was shocked that it had closed, the old school hurst is gone. What happened? My assumption is Covid-19 happened. So sad. Anywho...the guy that took my order & rang me up was very pleasant. Giving me a suggestion of what to try when I come back! Chicken was thick & seasoned perfect not too salty, just right! Fries taste different because, I think they were cooked in the same grease as the chicken so, they seem to taste like the chicken. Amazed that anyone has had anything positive to say about the food here, because they apparently don't serve any food. We asked for 3 different things and for each one the cashier sternly just replied "we outta that." No emotion whatsoever, didn't even looked like she cared or understood how ridiculous this situation was. We went at 10:30 just after they opened too, and the whole food court was empty, so it wasn't like they had a busy day and had run out of stuff- they either don't know how to stock themselves or just don't want to work. Edit, because this level of granularity matters: we were told the vegan chicken strips were out initially, and, and we asked if they could check, then after checking in with the kitchen we were told they had no more than 6 but the ones they had were all really small. But they were still going to charge us full price ($9 for three strips??). But you can clearly see from the owners response the attitude they have towards their customers- rude, and unapologetic. There is even no mention from the owner acknowledging the attitude of their servers. We left after we were then told that they were out of the vegan waffle mix. So yes Owner, we were told more than 1 item was out of stock, hopefully YOU WILL be truthful in future responses to reviews. Don't worry about us Waffle Bar, we sure won't be back! read more

The customer service was just okay. The young lady working the register was on the phone while I was ordering and wasn't necessarily friendly or rude. She was just meh. The banana pudding waffle was really good, 8/10. However, the chicken tenders weren't moist and didn't really have breading on them like all of the other pictures I've seen. Items ordered: Fried shrimp and fries: The shrimp was plump and juicy and very flavorful. I loved the fries the fries were hand cut fries. To me those r the best fries Strawberry cheesecake waffle. I went to Waffle Bar during the grand opening and loved it! The staff were nice and helpful. They shared their personal faves as well as customer faves. My sister and I ordered the banana pudding waffle, Oreo cheesecake waffle, and chicken tenders. We split our waffles and I'm so glad we did! I found waffle bar on Instagram from an Atlanta foodies page. I went on a date with my boyfriend here and I was a little disappointed. I thought the location was pretty cool. They share a venu with two other restaurants. It is a very hipster like environment that would be a great study spot. I was a little disappointed with the food though. Came out to southern feed store in East atlanta for open mic night. This is the newest food court addition and has some excellent choices including atlanta institutions like woody' cheesesteaks. Buteco bar,gyro gyro and waffle bar complete the current mix. Waffle bar has excellent vegetarian options including seitan chicken. I love this place, the portions are generous, the tenders are large, juicy, and well seasoned. The waffles are fluffy and delicious and the raspberry chipotle sauce is fire - as in delicious but also had a nice spicy kick. I fr hate to complain but this place really disappointed me. Staff was nice but the food was totally underwhelming, borderline bad, and overpriced. Waffles felt like hotel breakfast. I tried the regular chicken fingers which were okay and the vegan chick'n which was ROUGH.....like really awful, and I love vegan food. They didn't have water for us to drink-- not even cups of water, despite me paying for water bottles. Whole experience was so mid. Didn't have the best experience. The cashier was rude and very dry. It gives she doesn't enjoy her job. She didn't know how to work the register because I asked to do half cash and half card and that's an easy request. They then provided me a beeper to alert me when my order was ready. The beeper did not work and I was sitting waiting for my food for almost 30 minutes. When I walked up to check on the order because the beeper did not buzz, my food was sitting there. The cashier took no effort to try to find me or let me know that my food wasn't ready. I was sitting right in the waiting area. She said herself that the beepers hasn't been working so I don't understand why they still use them. I wanted to enjoy my food hot and fresh but I wasn't able to do that. Sometimes it's simple to go above and beyond for your customers. If she would have walked out and just say hey your food is ready but they beepers aren't working would've changed my whole experience but it just gives she doesn't care and that reflects the company. I get she's young but when I was her age working I had hunger, drive and determination so there's no excuse. I am very disappointment in my experience here. Please do better!!! read more

I visited the Waffle Bar last Wednesday with my coworkers. I loved it so much I picked it up for lunch on Thursday. I decided to pick it up for breakfast on Saturday. I wanted my boyfriend to try it. He asked me where did I get the chicken and waffle from. He said this is the best waffle I have ever had. He also, loved the chicken tenders and how juicy they were. I ordered the Spinach Parm waffle and chicken tenders. Pro: The waffle consistency was tender and moist. Cons: The waffle was ultra salty. I honestly don't know how anyone could enjoy that much salt in a dish. The parm is dusted on top and is combined with other seasonings (containing a ton of salt). The sun-dried tomato cream cheese came in a plastic container. I had to spread it on myself. The chicken tenders were seasoned well but they were dry and a little heavy on the salt. They weren't tough but they were especially tender either. I made it thru half of the waffle but couldn't continue due to the insane amount of salt so I exchanged it for the My Momma Pudding. This was much better but still not much to speak of. It tasted very basic. This place does not compare to popular brunch spots in ATL. I will not go back.
