I had the Grilled Pork Chop which was two sizzling pork chops cooked and seasoned just right, delicious and flavorful. I requested for the hashbrown to be cooked a little extra crispy and it was perfection. The cafe is located in Lincoln at the Sterling Pointe Center shopping area. Bad service. Went in to pick up order and the older woman working today 12/30/25 around 10:30am was rude. I let her know I received a text that said it was ready to pick up. Instead of saying something like please give me a moment to get your food. She snapped with snarky attitude and said, "Well I'm not." And walked away. It's not my fault you're having a bad day. Solid breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant in Lincoln. It's more homey and comfortable inside, not fancy or trendy. Food had large portions and was tasty. Nothing incredible, but everything was good and my table of 6 all enjoyed it. I opted for the crepe and it was good, came with a nice salad and breakfast potatoes. I was super full and couldn't finish. I'd say it's a step-up from a "diner" in terms of ambience/selection. The service was quick and friendly. We came for breakfast on a Saturday morning at 9am. First thing I noticed is that it was unbearably cold inside. I as thinking it was because they just opened and the heating has not kicked in yet. Nope, it remained cold so maybe they did that to get you in and out quick. The menu was vast. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I came here because I heard that they have savory crepes so I got the chicken pesto which is my favorite and my friend got the oddly sounding teriyaki chicken crepe. It was hard to find on the menu because I expected to see it in the breakfast section. It was in the dinner section. Service was friendly but inattentive. I had to wave down the guy who was socializing with the other wait staff to take our order and later to get our ticket. We were only one of 3 tables seated so it was not busy. I placed an online back in June 2025. When I went to pick up my order, they did not know an online order had come through. I showed my order and waited 30 minutes. My food was never made and instead the time was spent trying to reboot the order. I at that point asked for a refund where I was told I needed to contact Toast, the company I ordered from through the Sterling Café website. I contacted Toast who contacted the store who then told Toast they would not be issuing me the $30 refund for food I never received. I was in contact with the owners through email for a month after and was told I would receive a refund plus a free meal. I have still never received a reply, a refund or a free meal since my last email in August. This situation has been very poorly handled. read more

My first time here. I stopped in this little café because it was convenient. I had seen an older menu that said they had fresh corned beef hash. They do not. It is canned only. Disappointed. The waitress told me that they do have fresh corned beef hash around the time of St. Patrick's Day as they have excellent corned beef then. I decided on chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs, and country potatoes with sourdough toast. Turned out to be a good idea as it was one of four items that were on an early bird special listed on the window. See picture attached. The menu is AMAZING which offers just about everything you can imagine; all freshly made, including their orange juice which is delicious. The staff are friendly and caring. Come eat with us!! My best friends and I were on a Staycation this weekend. We needed a spot for breakfast/brunch. (What we really needed was coffee!). This place fulfilled our need for coffee AND then some... The chicken was the BOMB! It was crispy not slathered with breading. Food was alright. My daughter got a crepe and they put a ton of whip cream. I'm not even exaggerating it looked like a whole can of whip cream. She had to scrape off tons of it just to get to her crepe. It was very bizarre. Also they don't run the air unless I just came at a bad time but it was a 90 degree day and so hot and humid in there I saw the workers sweating. We ordered the Seafood Royal Benedict, side of Linguiça and Pancakes with strawberries. The Benedict and Linguiça was 4/5 however the Pancakes were 3/5 even with the whipped cream and strawberries. Your typical diner food at its finest especially compared to a Dennys or an iHop. The restaurant looks wise could definitely use a tune up, on a positive note it's definitely made for families to come. The seating arrangements are made for large groups. The service is the reason for my rating, our waitress forgot one of our orders and we were still charged for it, we felt rushed through the whole sitting from taking our orders to eating our food to leaving. This was the first experience we've had like this, so it was a shock because everyone is usually super friendly and nice. Updated review: Wife and I decided to give this place another shot. Came in for early lunch on Sunday around 11:00. As we entered, there were 3 other people already standing just inside the doorway waiting to be served, so we waited behind them. The place was fairly busy but not 100% full. After standing there for 3 or 4 minutes watching staff walk right by us and not greeting or helping us, wife asked me how much longer we should wait. One of the ladies in front of us said they had been standing there 5 minutes already and not one person had said a word to them yet. We turned right around and walked out. There is NO REASON to blatantly ignore customers who are patiently waiting to be seated. It literally takes just seconds to simply say "Hi, we'll be with you in just a minute". I am SO happy that I finally found a great place for crepes!! I was hesitant to try this restaurant since Yelp reviews were not so great. But I am glad I gave it a try. I ordered shrimp Alfred crepe. The crepe was well made and the shrimps and Alfred sauce were excellent. It came with the country style potatoes and salad. The potatoes were cut bigger, cooked just right and very tasty. The salad came with the home made dressing and it was delicious! I asked the waitress what kind of dressing it was, then she told me that it's something that chef mixes and it's his original recipe. The waitress, Marianne, was very nice and helpful, and she said she has been working there for 14 years. She was very friendly seemed to know the customers. The customers looked very happy and friendly as well. When I read other yelp reviews, people were complaining about the waitresses. Maybe I was lucky this time? Well, I hope to see Marianne again when I go there next time. P.S. I went back and tried their strawberry Nutella crepe. It was so good!! You get a little discount if you pay cash. read more

Turns out everything is frozen then cooked, I ordered chicken fried steak and the patty it came with tasted the likes of a salisbury steak from a banquet frozen meal, Gross to say the least! This is one of my families, favorite places to go. It's a very nice quiet establishment. It is similar to a Denny's, but it is family owned business. This is a very clean establishment very clean atmosphere. They have lots of different room. I am a big fan of the sampler which includes mozzarella sticks, season fries, and chicken strips and also I am a huge fan of their French dip. It is very good And always cooked to perfection. My mom is a big fan of the breakfast. She loves the omelettes. She says they taste like homey. This establishment is conveniently located in the same shopping center as Raley right in the corner and they have lots of different delicious food to choose from Burgers, they have lots of different items to choose from. It's hard to list off everything and they also have different deals of chicken that you could choose to take home or eat inside that include different sides. They don't however substitute chicken leg if you want substitute all white meat, they don't do that is according to the menu, unfortunately They are my favorite places to eat in. The staff is super friendly all family owned inside and on Friday night they have wide karaoke and can get pretty noisy and there so just keep that in mind if you're gonna go in there on Friday, it could be quite loud for the karaoke. Everybody always seems to have a good time and they get up and start dancing. The food is phenomenal. The service is great. The food is delicious, it's this is a great establishment to enjoy a nice lunch dinner or anything in between great place to eat if you have not tried Sterling Café. When it comes to celebrating a new year, I take a slightly different approach than many others, as I don't care to party, and I don't like crowds and I detest cover charges. I've seen more than my share of new years... so I leave the wild celebrations for others to enjoy. Since I'm a "foodie," I prefer to bring in the new year by enjoying a meal at a "new" restaurant, early New Years day. Such was the way I "rung in" 2022, by enjoying breakfast at Sterling Cafe, located in Lincoln, CA. As you enter the restaurant, you'll notice the counter, which has diner-style seating for eight, along with the window to the kitchen behind the counter. Each place at the counter was set with silverware, salt, pepper and a bottle of ketchup. Naturally, you're greeted by a friendly staff member who will welcome you and seat you. The main dining room features mostly tables, but a few booths line the walls. The dining room is spacious, attractive, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Even on this gloomy, early morning the dining room was well lighted, thanks to the many windows, and the tasteful overhead lighting. I "opened up" the restaurant on this New Year morning, and for the first 20 minutes or so of my visit, I was the only diner, but just before I finished with my breakfast, the dining room began to fill. My timing was perfect! From the "All American Breakfasts" section of the "Breakfast" menu, I went with "Two Eggs and Sausage." My "Side" of choice was hash brown potatoes, along with toast. The menu lists several other "sides" to choose from, but on this chilly first day of 2022, how can you beat hash browns and sourdough toast? I ordered my two eggs cooked over easy - you can order your eggs cooked to your preference - and my eggs arrived, perfectly fried over easy. The trademark of a breakfast chef with talent is perfectly fried eggs, as ordered, and the chef at Sterling Cafe has talent. The hash brown potatoes were crispy on the outside - which is the benchmark for perfect hash browns - and chewy-tender on the inside, which made for an amazing side. Like the eggs, the hash browns were cooked in butter, for an added taste sensation. My hash browns were accompanied by two slices of buttered sourdough toast, as per my order. My meat of choice was four breakfast sausage links, browned on the griddle, to get my day started the right way. I truly enjoyed my breakfast, as it was delicious, filling, and most of all, it was total "comfort food" to get my new year started. Sterling Cafe serves a great, solid, American breakfast classic. Sterling Cafe is open every day, and serves delicious "diner style" cuisine to Lincoln locals, and everyone who appreciates fine, "comfort food." Wish I had gone to SaladWorks! I ordered the Turkey Melt expecting as pictured with bacon, avacado, tomato, swiss cheese and nice sliced turkey breast on sourdough. The bread wasn't sourdough, the turkey was sliced deli turkey that had been warmed on the griddle and tasted like old oil, same with the bacon (it was crisp as requested). There were two slices of avacado clumped in the middle, tomato was all on one side. The fries were pretty good, they were all clumped together though. It was just awful. I had to try to reassemble the darn thing. The lemonade was good. They charge more if you use a debit card instead of pay in cash. The sandwich was $16.99! I won't be going back. read more
